Read All The Negative Comments Obasanjo Has Made Against Atiku

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is certainly not a fan of Atiku Abubakar, his former vice-president, who is now the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party. His various testimonials about his former deputy are trending online. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President , during the 10th Memorial Symposium of Senator Abraham Adesanya, Theme” Leadership and the Future of Nigeria”Held on Wednesday 2-5-2108, At Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos The 72 year-old former customs officer, emerged on Sunday as the opposition’s standard bearer for the 2019 election, to face incumbent Muhammadu Buhari. Nigeria’s Twitterati have been dredging out Atiku’s testimonial as given by Obasanjo, who said in a BBC TV interview why he will never support Atiku for Nigeria’s highest office. He even stated the reason in his book, about his eight-year presidency. Watch the video: “God will never forgive me

“ – OBJ Video credit:@Karovoni pic.twitter.com/WPsS6kYWvC — Yekini Nabena (@ynabena) October 7, 2018 Here is Obasanjo’s testimonial in the book, My Watch: “From the day I nominated Atiku to be my vice, he set his mind not for any good, benefit or service of the country, but on furiously planning to upstage, supplant or remove me at all cost and to take my place. “That was what I brought him for, but he was impatient and over-ambitious. He was not ready to learn and to wait. His marabout, who predicted that despite being elected as governor, he would not be sworn in as a governor, which happened, also assured him that he would take over from me in a matter of months rather than years. “All his plans, appointments of people and his actions were towards the actualisation of his marabout’s prediction. Once I realised his intention and programme, I watched him like a hawk without giving any indication of what I knew and letting down my guard. I could not succumb to the distraction, diversion and malevolence of an ambitious but unwise deputy. “The work in hand was more important than a confrontational relationship with my deputy, a man over whom I knew I had far more experience and outreach in all matters. To alert him of what I knew he was up to, would only lead to lying, denial, more mischievous plans and more duplicity on his part. “He was better managed that way. What was important was not allowing myself to be surprised or outmanoeuvred by him. I must always seize the initiative and know what was going on if not in his mind, but at least in his camp. That I did very effectively. “Sometime in the fourth quarter of 2004, an associate of Atiku came to my residence at the Aso Villa from Atiku’s official residence. He felt uncomfortable and I tried to make him feel at ease. Then, he settled to tell me the story of what had just transpired in Atiku’s residence. I listened with rapt attention. “He went on to say that Atiku told him that for him to become the President of Nigeria, the 2007 elections were only a formality. “The seven ingredients he needed for his enthronement were already in his hands. He controlled the National Assembly because both the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives were in his pocket. He controlled twenty-eight out of thirty-six governors. He had control of the media. His influence over the judiciary was overwhelming.

“What he needed was foreign endorsement and for that he had employed two lobby groups in the US and one in the UK. And finally, the money for the elections was in his purse. “When the man finished, I thanked him without passing any comment. The man was surprised at my reaction and asked, ‘You have nothing to say to these?’ I said that I had nothing to say and I immediately called my ADC, Chris Jemitola, to play a game of squash with me. “On our way to the squash court with my ADC, I said, ‘People at times make plans and leave God out of their plans.’ My casual remark struck Chris and he said, ‘Sir, that was a profound statement.’ I said that I made the statement because of what I had just heard of Atiku’s plan. I was not convinced he had put God in his plans. “Atiku was confident and God was laughing. Most of Atiku’s ingredients soon started to fall out of place one by one. The first was the party, PDP.

Politics / Roli Bode-george In Messy Scandal : Allegedly Uses NDEA Might To Forcefully Take by sirchikero: 11:46am On Aug 27, 2018
Coming on the heels of the DSS/NASS imbroglio which led to the ignoble exit of the former D.G, Mamman Daura, there are allegations of yet another case of abuse of power against yet another top federal government official. This time accusing fingers are being pointed at the Chairman of the NDLEA,Mrs Roli Bode-George who is being accused of using her position to forcefully and illegally acquire a waterfront property in the choice Lekki Phase 1,for her personal use.

According to a petition, made available to the writer,NDLEA officials, acting on the instructions of Mrs Bode-George invaded the waterfront property, purportedly owned by one Mr Mac Arueyingho, harassed and threatened the occupants before forcing them out of the premises.
According to our investigations, the property has a jetty and a slipway built and used for boating and recreational activities by the petitioner since 2010.
According to Mr Arueyingho,"This is gross abuse of office and a setback to the efforts of the Ambode- led APC governments efforts to boost water transportation and tourism".
According to the petitioner,"We were granted permit since 2010 for this land and it is most unfortunate that people would misuse their positions in this way!"
When this reporter visited the site, directly opposite Akin Leigh St,Lekki Phase 1,there was an NDLEA officer on guard and some evidence of new fence work going on.The officer on guard declined to make any comments on the matter.

Crime / How Pastor Benedict Mgdire Of The Lord’s Chosen Defrauded Me Of $38,000 – Busine by sirchikero: 12:59pm On May 18, 2018
An engineer, Ken Chibueze Onu has narrated how Pastor Benedict Mgdire of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Georgia, United States of America (USA) branch, allegedly defrauded him of $38,000.

In an interview with Newtelegraph, Onu claimed that his son, who attends the Chosen International Secondary School, was chased out of the school for not paying his fees. Onu, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Kenglobal Trade and Industry Limited, said that he was also a member of the church.

He said: “I singlehandedly financed the opening of the Mbaitolu and Ikeduru branches of the church in Imo State. What is happening between Pastor Mgdire and I is quite unfortunate. My son, who is schooling in the church’s school, located at Mgbidi Oru West, Local Government Area, Imo State, was sent out of the school because we couldn’t pay his school fees.”

Recollecting the genesis of his troubles, Onu said that after Mgdire returned from the U.S., he engaged him in discussions. He said:

“I told him that I have a car park space on Apapa-Oshodi Expressway. He also told me that he had his own car showroom in the U.S. He told me that he used to import vehicles into the country and spare parts. One day, he came to borrow money from me. By then, exchange rate was N500 per dollar.”

Onu and Mgdire reached an agreement; rather than refund the money, Mgdire should ship vehicles to Onu. Onu said that he sourced most of the money from his banks and other means. The money was later wired to Mgdire. He said: “I didn’t receive any vehicle. I called him several times, but he wouldn’t pick my calls. I suspected a foul play and reported to our General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka. Our GO told me that, if it was Mgdire, I shouldn’t worry. Other church ministers I complained to about him, said Mgdire was reliable.

Politics / How Senate Paid Abiola Aiyegbayo, Saraki’s Aide’s Wife N150,000/month – Sahara R by sirchikero: 12:08pm On May 18, 2018
A report by Sahara Reporters is alleging that the Senate has been paying Abiola Aiyegbayo, Saraki’s Aide’s wife N151, 788 since 2015 for doing nothing.

See the report by SaharaReporters below:

Since 2015, Abiola Aiyegbayo, wife of Bamikole Omisore, Special Adviser on International Relations to Senate President Bukola Saraki, has been receiving monthly salaries of N151,788 from the Senate without rendering any service to the National Assembly, documents obtained by SaharaReporters reveal.

The documents confirm the claims of Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Center), a non-governmental organisation and non-partisan human rights and development league, which recently asked the United States Department of Justice to investigate the ghost worker scam by Omishore’s wife.

In a petition sent to the US Department, signed by Mr Olanrewaju Suraju, its Chairman, HEDA, relying on an April 22 publication by PUNCH, had written: “Documents submitted to the EFCC showed that Omishore, who has been working with Senator Saraki since 2015, allegedly listed his wife as a Grade Level 12 employee of the National Assembly, though she is confirmed to be a nurse in the United States.

“The petition, signed by Abba El-Mustapha on behalf of Youths United against Corruption in Nigeria, claimed that Omishore’s wife had been collecting salaries to the tune of N150,000 for nearly three years through her Guaranty Trust Bank account 0147896921 with the name ‘Abiola Aiyegbayo’.

Gowon warns against impeachment, urges unity
A former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd.), said in Abuja on Thursday, that it was too early for Nigeria to start impeaching its elected presidents.

His comments came a few days after some senators threaten to call for the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari over the purchase of $496m Tucano aircraft without the legislators’ approval.

Gowon spoke while addressing the members of the Northern Leaders and Stakeholders’ Assembly led by their Chairman, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, who visited him in his office.

Picking his words carefully, Gowon said there was the need for unity in the North and across the entire country.

He said, “It will be too early in the day to start impeaching presidents in Nigeria, otherwise, there will be no president that will not get impeached because of these interest groups.

“We need to come together as a people – Arewa Consultative Forum, Northern Elders Forum and this forum – the three must come together or else, we will end up dividing our interests thereby polarising the North.

“So, it is a question of unity of the people in the North which is very important. The interest of the North is the interest of the nation.”

The Chairman of the Assembly, who is a former Political Adviser to Shehu Shagari, Yakasai said the Assembly had constituted sub-committees on northern unity, elections, security and restructuring and would study the reports for necessary action.

He said one of the core visions of the Assembly was to “bring northerners of good standing together to arrest drifts in the region and re-build individual and group confidence among our people.”

Crime / Russian Lady, Svetiana Alexandrovna , Assualts And Racially Abuses Nigerians And by sirchikero: 3:14pm On Apr 18, 2018
Who will save Nigerian youths from the incompetent and corrupt Law Enforcement Agencies like the Nigerian Police? When Nigerian Police Force top ranking officers aide foreigners to assault and racially abuse the citizens of Nigeria on Nigerian soil, that’s the height of betrayal!

The General Manager of New Ikenga Hotel and Resort Nsukka in Enugu State, a Russian lady, by the name Svetiana Alexandrovna, assaulted and racially abused responsible Nigerian Entrepreneurs who were having a nice staff and management get together in her hotel. The management and staff of this export company (name withheld) lodged in the hotel on Sunday 15th of April 2018 and also had a get together at the bar of Ikenga Hotels in Enugu.

Unfortunately one the staffers had too much to drink and vomited, this is normal, it happens. Svetiana Alexandrovna instead of instructing the staffs of the hotel to help their customer clean up and stabilize, started calling the customers unprintable names. She called him “King Of The Forest”, Homosapian”, “Black Goat” !!!

This Russian lady, who it has been alleged is owing her staffs two months salary, rained these unprintable names on him while covering her nose to suggest that her Nigerian customers were oozing and not of her racial class. She screamed at them like worthless animals with confidence and ordered her security officers to throw the guy out of the hotel premises.

He was left outside from 11 PM to 2 AM. When one of the staffs went out to check on him, to his utter shock he discovered that the guy was not just thrown out but mercilessly beaten like a hardcore criminal, with bruises all over his body.

The security officers also hit him on his eyes which was undergoing medical treatment. As you read, he can’t see with that eye anymore, that eye is now blind. As if the humiliation by a Russian on their father’s land was not enough, while they were in a meeting the next morning 16th of April, they were interrupted by officers of the Nigerian Police. They were arrested and taken to the station. For what one would ask? For buying drinks while lodging in your hotel or for vomiting? Is this Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirate?

They got to the station by 10: 45 AM. Svetiana Alexandrovna refused to show up which delayed them and cost them an extra business day in Enugu. She arrived by 5 PM and to the shock of everybody continued raining abuses on these Nigerians in front of the DPO, Badamosi Mohammed, who was at this moment begging her and making her feel untouchable . Svetiana Alexandrovna repeatedly called them King Of The Forest, Black Goats, Homosapians in front of the DPO who instead of arresting her for racial abuse or even try to tell her to stop abusing Nigerians on the soil of their birth, was cap in knees begging her like his master to calm down.

The worst happened when one of the company staffs tried to tell their side of the story, the DPO shouted him down and walked him out of his office…. That’s the height of the humiliation. A foreigner now has more rights and privileges than Nigerian citizens in Nigeria! This can never happen in any European country at least not in Russia .

They left the station by 5:30 PM and were shocked to be told that they must also pay for full day’s hotel bill. The company paid for extra day they didn’t use and also footed the bill of the wounded victim.

What a country, when will Nigerian security agencies start protecting the interest of innocent citizens?

I never looked forward to morning assembly because I’ll have to stand at the back of the class or class presentations to talk about “your best friend “ because I’ll be described as the thin girl.

I can remember eating all sorts to things to gain weight but nothing worked, I really craved to have some flesh on me. I was called all sorts of names like Lepa, thin girl and Agric chicken because I was so skinny and tall. So I started modeling as soon as I graduated from secondary school because modeling agents thought I had “the look”.

Today the reverse is the case, I’m on all sorts of diet programs and exercising every other day to keep the weight I’ve always wanted in check, I feel bad after licking ice cream or eating anything with high-calorie content because ill have to suffer in the gym.

Politics / Ikeja Bus Terminal Vs Abu Dhabi Bus Station by sirchikero: 7:33pm On Mar 30, 2018
Lagosians had mixed feelings about the commissioning of the best bus terminal in Nigeria, the Ikeja Bus Terminal, Which President Muhammadu Buhari landed in Lagos State to commission. The Ambode project showed how big the leaders of Nigeria can dream and what is achievable in this part of the world.

Many Lagosians felt the closing of roads and public holiday was too much sacrifice for the commissioning of a common garage as some called it .

I have lived in Abu Dhabi for eight months and was a user of the Abu Dhabi bus station which is the only bus station in Abu Dhabi. Let’s examine if Lagos New bus terminal is at par with what is obtainable in other developed parts of the world or not.

Lagos Bus Terminal Facilities:
This iconic terminal is designed to change the face of public transportation and it will convey more than 70,000 passengers daily to over 22 destinations across the State.

The facility, which is sitting on 10,000 square metres land space is equipped with Intelligent Transport System (ITS), Fully Air-conditioned Terminal, Food Court, Shops, Toilets, ATM Gallery, Free Wi-Fi, Electronically Controlled shades, among others.

Through the ITS, intending passengers can be informed of the departure time and arrival of the next bus which allows them to plan their movement.

The facility was designed and constructed by Planet Projects, an indigenous construction firm.

Business / Oando Posts N4.6bn PAT In H1, 2017 by sirchikero: 10:50am On Aug 04, 2017
Oando Plc, one of the Nigeria’s leading oil and gas companies, has declared a profit after tax (PAT) of N4.6 billion for the half year ended June 30, 2017, as against a loss of N26.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2016.
A review of Oando’s financials show that turnover increased by 26 per cent to N267.1 billion from N212.3 billion in 2016 while gross profit increased by 76per cent to N33.4 billion from N19 billion.
Net finance costs reduced from N35.3 billion to N16.4 billion, leaving the firm with a PAT of N4.6 billion compared with a loss of N26.9 billion in H1 2016.
For the third time in a row, Oando has posted positive financials defying speculations and bolstering confidence in the oil and gas sector. In its final year-end, 2016 results the company declared N3.5 billion PAT, in the first quarter of 2017 it posted N1.7 billion PAT and the N4.6 billion PAT for H1 2017.
These numbers are indicative of the company’s ability to manoeuvre the cyclical nature of the sector by adapting quickly to continued low oil prices. Oando has done this through the successful implementation of its corporate strategic initiatives of growth, deleverage and profitability alongside its renewed focus on its dollar earning businesses.
Commenting on the results, Group Chief Executive, Oando Plc, Mr. Wale Tinubu, said: “With security concerns in the Niger Delta receding, Nigeria’s economic recovery has been buoyed by a boost in oil output, while the legislative approval of certain segments of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) provides greater long-term policy certainty for the sector. Our returns underline our continued successful foray into the Upstream.”
According to Wale Tinubu, Oando scored significant operational highlights in the first half of 2017.
The company through its upstream business, Oando Energy Resources, successfully realised N3.2 billion in net cash from the crystallisation of the corporate facility hedges (1,590 bbls/day) while in the second quarter of 2017, it successfully completed the sale of its interest in OMLs 125 and 134 to Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited for a profit of N4.6 billion.
In its Downstream business, Oando Trading (OTD), the company witnessed a 40 per cent growth in traded volumes and a commendable 147 per cent increase in turnover to N217.5 billion compared to N88.1billion for the comparative period of 2016.
The trading business lifted volumes exceeding 7.5mmbbls of crude and imported 610,000metric tonnes of refined petroleum products, a 72 per cent and 20 per cent increase respectively.
The Structured Trade Finance lines in its downstream business increased by N76.5 billion to N214.1 billion in total, from a total of five International and African banks, are further validation that Oando is still a good business investment.
According to the company, this increase in financing allows the company to achieve greater trading capacity and in turn more volumes.
Speaking on the outlook for the company in the second half of 2017, Tinubu said: “We remain committed to optimising our overall production base, seeking unique profit-driven opportunities to further partner with international oil companies, while firming up our balance sheet to provide greater shareholder value.

Culture / 5 Major Bloopers In The Wedding Party- Paschal Chikero by sirchikero: 4:05pm On Mar 07, 2017
My friends on Facebook will agree that after I watched #The Wedding Party, I was full of praises for the film. After seeing the flick for fun, I returned to it with critical eyes. What I found, I bring to you.

A movie they say, is a reflection of life. The Wedding Party, a Kemi Adetiba film set out to exhibit the life and culture of the Yoruba and Igbo people but the truth is, it didn’t do a perfect job. Kemi Adetiba gave the Yoruba culture an edge over the Igbo culture in all ramifications.

The truth is, The Wedding Party is a great movie that should top the chart for a long time. It scored a lot of goals. The movie will make you really laugh and enjoy a second and third watch but that is if you don’t mind some of the cultural and acting flaws.

The big clicks here are the fantastic role interpretation of the likes of Sola Shobowale, Alibaba, Zainab Balogun the event manager, Banky W. The goals the likes of Sola Shobowale scored, the likes of Richard Mofe Damijo, Ireti Doyle and Ikechukwu equalized negatively.

The story line and script was greatly put together and was also 80 % well interpreted. The negatives are so loud that one cant ignore them. Here are five major flops I noticed in the lovely “The Wedding Party”.

Celebrities / At January 8th House Of Style We Transform The Simplest Of Fabrics To Breathtaki by sirchikero: 10:05am On Mar 06, 2017
How do you take a piece of fabrics and create an amazing style that transforms whoever wears it into a charming, confident being ? This is the headache of fashion dummies but fashion maestros like Frances Anyaechi breed classic fashion styles daily! This delectable fashionista is the Creative Director of #January 8Th House of Style. In this exclusive interview with Publisher of Chikero.Com.Ng, Paschal Chikero, she opens up on how she runs one of the best fashion brands in Lagos. Enjoy.

Let’s meet you?
My name is #Frances Anyaeji

How did you get into the fashion business ?

Fashion has always been it for me.

I have always loved beautiful clothes right from a very young age. I picked interest in fashion as a career in my university days but I didn’t go in immediately. I finished school, served, worked a bit in the corporate world (the usual 9 to 5), then moved out to start my business. I had done alot of trainings before then in preparation for when I’ll launch out.

How long have you been in fashion business?
Hmm, I have done this since 2014 but I officially started my label- August 1st 2016.

What is the unique selling point of your brand?
The fact that our clothes fits perfectly. Every woman (irrespective of age and body type) can feel confident in our clothes. We can transform the simplest of fabrics to breathtaking outfits. Our specialty are couture and statement pieces. January 8th House of style was established to cater for the classic and trendy ladies who are fashion conscious. We transform fabrics into the dream outfit. We also train the next generation designers. We officially commenced business in August 2016.

Do you design for both gender, if not why?
We do just female, that’s where my strength lies

They say female fashion products sell more than those of men, do you think that’s still true today?
Hmm, I think so. Women love beauty and elegance and easily identify with anything that brings that out in them

As a designer in Nigeria what are the challenges you face?
Power supply- we practically provide power for ourselves which is very expensive.
Getting good, honest and efficient staff to work with is also a tall order.

Where will your business be in the next 5 years?
A household name- locally and internationally. A brand that everyone, both home and abroad, can connect to.

What would be the advise you will give any young person going into fashion business?

You must have passion for Fashion and be sure this is what you want to do- Fashion looks glamorous but it’s not child’s play. If you are patient, dedicated to your passion and pay attention to details. You will go a very long way.
Finally, where and how can clients get your designs?

Business / Valuable And Useful Information To Boost Your Internet Marketing Career by sirchikero: 7:29am On Dec 04, 2016
Valuable and Useful Information to Boost your Internet Marketing Career
The impact of the Internet on the perceived value of information is just as huge as anybody would ever think. Undoubtedly, Internet changed the way people learn and search for useful information. Before the arrival of the Internet culture, individuals who are looking for some valuable and useful information would be congregating themselves in classrooms, public libraries, bookstores, and magazine stands because these are the places where such information could be found.
However, it’s been about ten years since the Internet became accessible to the public and the difference it made has been gigantic.
The impact is drastic enough that the Internet changed the typical procedure of searching for information that has existed since the civilization era. If you want to learn the life of Florence Nightingale, Christopher Columbus, or even the terrorism acts of Osama bin Laden, you do not need to take a class, read a book, or purchase newspapers everyday. You can Yahoo or Google these personalities, and if you are savvy enough, you will be able to find a website that is dedicated to the study of these personalities.
Through the Internet, such valuable and useful information is readily accessible. In addition, retrieval of information is free. You do not have to suffer purchasing Da Vinci Code for several dollars cheaper than what you would have to pay in a brick and mortar bookstore. The search and retrieval of the manuscript of the book is instantaneous (in short, instant!), no wasting of time, and definitely there is no need to spend for transportation.
In other words, searching and retrieving information on the Internet is cost-free, except the purchase of your personal computer (if you do not have any) and the Internet connection fee.
Almost every kind of information could be found on the Internet, historical accounts, answers to personal problems, and information about business opportunities. In other words, every online-based business opportunity related information can be accessed through the Internet.
Nothing more, nothing else. Why purchase marketing strategy books or business newspapers if all information that you need is stored on the Internet and can be read for free.
However, unlike other information on the Internet, information related to Internet marketing are not entirely for free. In fact, there are marketing gurus who sell such information to Internet marketing neophytes.

Technology Market / Nigerian Tech Company Launch Social Media Creative App To Save $1billion For Bus by sirchikero: 5:21pm On Nov 02, 2016
Mark Zukerberg’s recent visit to Nigeria has brought about yet another success story of commitment, enthusiasm and energy in Nigerian Entrepreneurs

During the town hall meeting with Entrepreneurs and Tech Entrepreneurs’ in August this Year, Mark zukerberg spoke about the entrepreneurial energy that could be felt as soon as you enter this country. According to Zukerberg, “there’s this energy here, I mean you feel it as soon as you get off the plane. I think the world needs to see that’’

The visit has encouraged a digital analytics and technology company, Intelligent Interactive limited to build a social media creative tool that will help businesses save $1billion annually.

While speaking with one of the Co-founders of a leading Tech company-www.socialmediacreatives.com, Temiloluwa Sobowale on how the idea of the application was birthed. Sobowale revealed that one of the advices from Mark Zukerberg triggered a new drive for innovative thinking that birthed the app.

According to Sobowale, Zukerberg made it clear that a winning strategy is to be able to provide tools/services to SMEs that only the big companies could afford some years ago. But by building an application, this gives small businesses a level playing ground to compete. This is exactly what we did.

We noticed that only the big brands can afford to use professional graphic designs for their social profile, posts ,due to the high cost of paying professional creative directors, this is affecting their business, because statistics shows that customers engage more with professional images than ordinary text.

Statistical findings show that posts with images get 94% more views than those without images, which means that adding a professional image to your posts will increase the chances of brand awareness, while using a poor creative design could damage the reputation to your brand by making it look sloppy and unprofessional in the midst of competitors. You lose businesses to the competitors that way.

When asked about the $1billion figure savings for businesses annually, Sobowale said that “getting a good design will cost you a minimum of $5 each which is about N2, 000 at an exchange rate of N400 to $1. We know that on the average a business needs to post one image per day, but withsocialmediacreaties.com, you save $5 because the use of the app is free.

We envisage that the worse case 1% of the 60million businesses with pages online will adopt the tool. Zukerberg puts the figure of businesses on Facebook at 60 million. Based on this projection, we envisage that 600,000 will use the application. If our projection is anything to go by, it is obvious that we save $billions.

See the illustration below:

Daily savings =$5X600, 000=$3,000,000 daily savings.

Annually= $ 3,000,000(daily saving) X 365 (days in 1 year) = $1,095,000.000 yearly savings.

The good news is that over 1.5million businesses in Nigeria owns and run Facebook pages.

When asked about the global competitor, Canva.com, Sobowale’s reponse was that Canva is not a free app,you still have to pay $1 to download some images, before you can use it. The case is different withsocialmediacreatives.com with thousands of templates are available, absolutely free with unlimited creative design daily. There are hundreds of websites on the web that provide free High definition images that you can also add to your design when creating your social media images on the Website,www.socialmediacreatives.com

The Co- Founder of the company Sobowale Temiloluwa was the first individual in Africa to be certified in 2010 by Google as a professional in 4 areas(search, display, reporting and analysis, Google analytics. Sobowale is also a product of Kellogg school of management USA in Strategic Data Driven Marketing.

Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese automotivemanufacturer headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. When I was still a child, the most popular cars on Nigerian roads were German cars. Cars made by Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, BMW and other European cars like Peugeot products like the faithful, immortal 504 and 505 were the auto Samurais that conquered Nigerian roads and sat on the thrones of the garages of Nigerian car owners . Today, that is no longer the case. Japanese cars now rule the Nigerian roads.

Celebrities / Ancop Leadership Crisis: Daisy Madu Chikwendu Speaks As New President by sirchikero: 3:48pm On Aug 29, 2016
Mrs Daisy Maduchikwendu is an amazon, a creative woman who is making her name in Nollywood. She is the founder of Women In Media and now the first woman to become the President of #ANCOP. In this interview she opened up on how she became the president of ANCOP. Enjoy:

Lets meet you ma
I am Daisy Maduchikwendu; a movie producer, screenwriter, organizer of women in media projects and REELTEEN film festival.

How long have you been a practitioner in Nollywood
I came into Nollywood in 2001, that is fifteen years ago
What happened to women in media
Ah WOMEN IN MEDIA. It is still ongoing but we have not had events for some time now. It is my dream and it is personally financed by me, apart from finance being a constraint, in recent times I have concentrated more on productions.

daisy

As a producer and screenwriter what is your assessment of Nollywood, do you think Nollywood is dying

Nollywood is not dying and cannot die, it is even getting better, better scripts are being written, as a screen writer and producer, I can tell you that everything starts with the story and the script, and we have those. The success of Nollywood is more on the power in our stories and we are producing them. We have our niche and we are taking full advantage of it. Also movies are being made with high-tech equipments, our #films compete with foreign films at the cinemas, and we are recognized internationally. This year, TIFF is focusing on #Lagos state in its “city to city” Lagos is the first African city to be honored; this puts #Nigeria in the entertainment world stage.

You are now the president could you enlighten us on the organization
ANCOP is Association of Nollywood Core #Producers, it is a foremost Association in the Nigerian movie industry, and it is one of the umbrella bodies for professional film producers and executive producers in Nigeria, with presence in all the Geopolitical zones in Nigeria. We aim at the production of intellectual property and also deepening the Nollywood brand. Through ANCOP, Nigeria is a member of FIAPE; International Federation of Film Producers Association; the umbrella body of film producers globally.
What is the difference between ANCOP and its competitors
The main difference is that ANCOP has international affiliation; through ANCOP, Nigeria is a member of FIAPE. FIAPE is an international Association based in Paris, created in 1933, composed with 36member associations, from 30 of the leading audiovisual production countries. It is in charge of regulating international film festivals like Cannes, Berlin, Toronto etc. FIAPE is to film more or less what FIFA is to football. Nigeria is the only African member county after Egypt. ANCOPs past President; Comrade Alex Eyengho is presently the vice president of FIAPE, the first black African to be honored with that position. No other association in Nollywood has this, it a big plus for ANCOP. We are also involved in the fight against piracy with other Nollywood associations and the government.
How did you become ANCOP President
I never planned to be president; I actually went for the post of treasurer during the election. Eze #Harris Chuma went for president and got it, three weeks later there were issues with the BOT and the Executives. The vice president Ada Anacunam, declines taking over the seat, one thing led to another and it unanimously came to me. This is destiny. The significant thing here is that I am the first female to head a producers association in Nollywood. I didn’t plan to be president but here I am, by destiny president of association of Nollywood core producers.
As the new ANCOP president what are you bringing to the table to take filmmaking to the next level
Nollywood is rapidly evolving; it is more important than ever now to create conducive platform for pragmatic filmmaking. There is no film producer without film production, we are therefore trying to create abundance of prospects for investors in the industry to fuel growth and make meaningful revenues We plan to host #business and investment forums, trainings, workshops etc. Presently, we are planning a joint investment forum with FIAPE in collaboration with financial institutions and government agencies. You will get the full details soon. But I promise you, we have a lot of other things cooking
As a mother how do you manage raising children and your job
These days it is a common thing to manage family and career, I can’t say it has not been challenging, because it has, but we are moving on. The important thing is to prioritize, plan well and you are on easy street.
Finally where will you take ANCOP to before your tenure expires
By the time my tenure expires, our members would have made more movies and I mean quality movies because we are working on more financing and coproductions for the producers. We are encouraging the production of quality movies that will boost the movie industry. We will move Nollywood to a higher end standard of production. You know what is happening in the industry now health wise, our health insurance would have been in place, also production insurance too. All in all the idea is to promote and protect the film business and its practitioners. And that we will do.
