Politics / Fulani Herdsmen, The Igbos And A Way Out by sirchikero: 7:57am On Apr 28, 2016
FULANI HERDSMEN, THE IGBOS AND A WAY OUT – PAS CHOKER

#Fulani herdsmen and to a large extent the Hausas have been emboldened by the ascension of one of their sons to Aso Rock. Since Muhammadu Buhari became the president and started making good efforts to eviscerate Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen have gradually become the nightmare of the Nigerian people.

The danger in this is, Boko Haram restricted its activities majorly to the North East but Fulani herdsmen are nomadic farmers who are grazing their cows allover the nation. This is why the crisis would easily be a national threat. The Fulani tribe are largely livestock farmers and they value their cows over human lives. This is why they think that the only way to protect their cows is to kill anybody who tampers with them. It is business.

The major factor a lot of people have been pondering over is how these skinny, earring wearing abokis got AK47? My answer is, look at the herdsmen , do they look like people who can afford those cows ? I don’t think so, most of them are just rearers. They have bosses and those bosses are I believe, the suppliers of these arms. If you are a business #man and you discover that you need to fortify your workers to protect your goods from hooligans, won’t you do something about it?

This is what I believe happens, the herdsmen could have been complaining to the cow owners that the cows are always slaughtered by farmers in different communities, since you can’t provide policemen to follow them round Nigeria, they give them guns.
p.txt
The unfortunate thing is that this translate to the lose of human lives! The herdsmen have become merchants of death. So far they have killed people from different parts of Nigeria. The president refused to sternly condemn their activities for a long time until yesterday . He has forgotten that we know that he is also a Fulani cattle farmer!
The entire Fulani race are also making a serious mistake. They forget that with this crisis, they are gradually squandering their chances of getting a second term for their son, Muhammadu Buhari.

The Igbos:
Hebrews, Igbos, the Igbos! The Israelites in Nigeria. The hated tribe of Nigeria. The Igbo have always been the worst victims of any mass murder in Nigeria. Since 1960 the Igbos have suffered the most from the hands of their neighbours and most especially the Northerners. Biafra war was the climax, over 3 million lives lost!

Imagine how large the Igbo race would have been by now if we didn’t loose those 3 million lives? What did we do wrong? What sin did we commit to be in this wrong position? This is why you can’t fault the struggles of the likes of Emeka Ojukwu, Ralph Uwazurike and the new kid on the block, Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB gang. They are only fighting for one thing, a better welfare package for their people be it in Nigeria or in a sovereign nation called Biafra.

All You Need To Know About Prince’s Jehovah’s Witness Faith – PAS CHOKER

The world knew #Prince as a pop star with a flamboyant, larger-than-life stage presence, overtly sexual songs and videos and gifted musical genius. But at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, St. Louis Park congregation, Prince was just an understated #man in a simple black suit.

“He was exceptionally shy,” recalled congregation secretary Bruce McFarland.
Here they called him #Brother Nelson and remember him slipping in after the opening song in the Sunday morning service, dutifully holding up his hand, clutching his Bible marked with post-it notes, patiently waiting his turn to discuss the Scripture. On the surface, few in this 95-member conservatively dressed, middle class suburban congregation look like they’ve ever danced to ‘Let’s Go Crazy.”

Technology Market / 7 Reasons To Cop The Retina Macbook Pro by sirchikero: 8:12pm On Apr 25, 2016
My love experience with Apple products began when I used the #iPhone 3 G and since then I have used all the high end iPhones. For Macbook I was bewitched by the 2010 Macbook… the egg like shaped white mac. I have since gotten all the range of the Macbook line, from Air to Macbook Pro non Retina and the Pro Retina. I also have used an #iMac. Finally, I have settled for the 15 inch Macbook Pro Retina Core i7. Why? That is magic in an aluminium casing!

Adverts / How To Become A Millionaire With Just Your Phone by sirchikero: 4:51pm On Apr 22, 2016
It is a fact that what hypes a #man’s confidence level is the depth of his pocket . I don’t mean if a man is not rich then he is not confident ,no. I mean that a man who doesn’t have financial worries is better of to handle any task. He can really focus. This means that every man needs something that puts money into his pocket or else he might lose the leadership of the home to his wife or whoever puts #food on the table.

No man wants another man giving his wife and #kids their daily bread! It is not only embarrassing, it is demeaning. A man wants to be the major source through which God puts food on the table of his #family .

The fact is, not every man can. Some people think some other #men are lucky to have gone to school or to have an elitist background, they forget that even the parents of the guy who has a great background, would have struggled to become rich so their kids don’t pass through what they passed through. Even the rich man was once poor!

The good news is, the poor can be rich and the bad news is, the rich could become poor. This depends on what each does with their time and the opportunities that come their ways. I want to talk about the ways you can get money into your pocket while doing the same things you do online. Social media platforms like #Facebook, #Twitter, #Youtube and Instagram have all moved from just social platforms to business platforms for those who understand how to milk the breast of contents.

There are folks who make good monthly income by just marketing products they have never seen with their own eyes online. Here are ways you can become a millionaire with your smartphone.

Car Talk / Fuel Scarcity : My Keke Maruwa And Kingsize Restaurant Experience by sirchikero: 8:57am On Apr 21, 2016
FUEL SCARCITY : My Keke Maruwa And Kingsize Restaurant Experience – PAS CHIKERO

Last year during the last fuel scarcity for the year 2015, I was driving through Ladipo where all kinds of spare parts for most cars are sold. My car broke down. It was fuel, I came down, saw a bikeman a.k.a Okadaman who told me he could help me buy fuel. I gave him money and he zoomed off to buy . He came back minutes later with a keg full of fuel. I happily poured into my car. Started the ignition and to my shock, the car refused to start. My legs started shacking. This is the car I was planning to travel to the village with.

I had a friend in Ladipo who deals strictly on Benz parts, I called him, he came with two mechanics who confirmed that the fuel the bike #man bought for me was mixed with water and it has destroyed my fuel pump, the nozzle and some other things. I had to change the complete fuel supply line, they sucked out the whole fuel and cleaned the fuel tank. This cost me over N20, 000 I didn’t plan to spend in December!

This has made me to respect myself anytime there is fuel scarcity. Yesterday, I had an engagement at #Kingsize Restaurant. I didn’t have enough fuel and there was no where near my house I could buy fuel so I decided to ply public transport. Coming out at the round about near my house, I thanked God . The road was blocked! I walked to the #Keke Maruwa park and boarded one.

Politics / The Danger In Judging Men Of God by sirchikero: 10:46am On Apr 19, 2016
We live in an age where too much information is flying around from all over the world. Google Search has positioned an ignoramus a click away from a pull of information that could turn him from an Olodo state to an informed homo erectus.

In the past, if something happens in America, it would take days for the news to spread to Africa but today that is not the case. The moment a Blogger or a social media user blogs or posts it on the Internet, it could go viral…. That is worldwide.

It is a good development but it also has its disadvantages. The Internet is like the computer, it is garbage in, garbage out and the huge appetite of breaking news sometimes doesn’t allow Bloggers to do proper investigation before hitting publish!

It doesn’t mean there are no spot on exclusives, the likes of SaharaReporters and PremiumTimes have severally broken authentic news.

My bus stop is, #men of God have also had their own fair share of scandals that went viral. It is unfortunate that human beings love negative stories more than the good news and when that negative story is about a #man of God, they crunch it like #kids demolish a bowl of cereal! Here is a roll call of some of the ground shaking scandals that rocked the church in Nigeria: Bishop Oyedepo slapping a Witch, Chris Oyakhilome’s divorce saga, Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA’s adultery scandal, Pastor #Kris Okotie’s #marriage crash and Pastor #Oritsejafo’s private jet scandal to mention just a few. These stories rocked the Christian community like a Tsunami.

Celebrities / How Videos By Wizkid, Olamide, Davido And Others Are Destroying Your Kids by sirchikero: 7:22am On Apr 18, 2016
#Music videos have the influential powers to shape the behavioral pattern of the next generation. #Children and teenagers naturally copy what they see. Most of the contents of the Nigerian music videos with high airplay are very sensual and padded with very vulgar lyrics.

#Men and women who allow their #kids to consume a lot of these erotic and vulgar oriented videos must know where the journey would end.

It is also true that musical videos as it has the power to negatively influence the kids, it also entertains but the question here is, who is the music video meant to entertain, the kids or the adults?

These days it is highly risky for a #man to leave his kids with him while watching music videos. The worst is that there is no form of ratings for these music videos. The visual contents of the videos are so erotic. The fact is that they are triggering negative attitudes in the children.

I remember once reading an article a woman wrote, she was sharing how she was watching an episode of one of these foreign soaps. She said while she was watching it, her young daughters walked in from school. They walked in on the a sex scene and before she could change the channel it was too late. Her annoyance was that the episode with such content was aired in the afternoon.

This is the same thing that happens with the broadcasting of music videos in Nigeria. It is a fact that the kids even know the songs more than their parents. The videos of most of these songs are packed with too many adult contents for children to consume.

When you go to children parties, you will see the crazy dance steps kids display don’t be shocked just understand that that is the impact of music videos on the children. Some twist their little waist more than matured ladies. These are what they picked up from the musical videos they watch.
‘The inappropriate dancing shouldn’t really be surprising in an era when girls are exposed to less-than ideal role models and bombarded with sexualized messages in the media.

Celebrities / Why I Don't Envy Omotola Jalade Ekeinde's Husband by sirchikero: 7:33am On Apr 16, 2016
The fact is in this part of the world the #man and #husband is seen as the member of the #family unit who must be served and pampered. He is the king of his kingdom and everybody in that kingdom is there for me. They bear his name and exist to keep his name alive. Anything contrary to this is seen as abnormal.
Matthew-Ekeinde

Due to these, he is expected to be the breadwinner of the family. That’s why when a lady brings a man home to introduce to her parents; they go ‘what does he do for a living?’. On the part of the guy, if he takes a lady who is richer than him some parents frown at it. ‘She will want to control you’ they would say.

In Africa, there are expectations for #marriage and anything contrary to this is not acceptable. I remember that when I wanted to marry my #wife I was broke! I didn’t have much except a room and a job that wasn’t paying well. She wanted to marry me but most of her family members vehemtly frowned at it. We pushed on, today we are very much more confortable than we started… Thank God!
Africans believe the man must appear capable to care and provide for his family from day one if he wants to be taken seriously.
omotola and ekeinde

There are new realities and whether we like it or not they are here to stay. A woman can be the breadwinner of a family and heaven won’t even think of falling. As far as she is humble and loving. I know a woman who provides for her family without the kids knowing.

Popular #Nollywood actress , mother of teenagers and wife for 20 years, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde revealed in a controversial interview that due to her #celebrity status she can’t go to the market any more, she went further to say, hear this, ‘my husband goes to the market for me’. OMG! In Africa?
Omotola-Hello-Family-tm-400x230

Trust Nigerians, they took to twitter and flogged #Omosexy for belittling her husband. The truth is Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji etc. can’t just walk into the market and expect to return the same. It is not possible, they would be mobbed. This is what Omotola was trying to say but the twitter trolls’ anger is why would her husband be the one to go to the market for her…..why
Genevieve and omotola

To a very large extent I agree with them. The truth is that the man , #Captain Mathew Ekeinde, by his rise in his career as a Captain and who he is in the society is not a small boy for Christ’s sake. I also agree that Omotola can’t go to the market but I believe the husband is not the one to go in her stead. With their status financially and otherwise I think there should be some one who does such mean works for them.
Matthew-Ekeinde-1

Then if they don’t want such and have agreed that the Captain should squander his dignity and do the market runs, fine but Omotola shouldn’t have said that in an interview. To me she just made him look like her houseboy!Common!

Call me any name you want but that’s the fact! I love Omotola Ekeinde to bits but this is not right. What was she trying to achieve? To tell us her husband can do anything for her? Ok , she should also tell us he washes her underpants so we can clap for her.

Omotola is super famous we all know that but her husband is not also a struggling man. He is also a successful career person.

I believe men must assist their wives but the wives shouldn’t use it to ridicule them…. Haba! Omotola should get house help or hire a cook for Christ’s sake! I really pity the man.

Here are the reasons I don’t envy being in Captain Mathew Ekeinde’s shoes.

Family / Sex And The Man by sirchikero: 8:35am On Apr 15, 2016
Women believe men can’t do without #sex so they sometimes use it as bargaining chip. This knowledge has made some desperate ladies turn themselves into sex machines and some little girls who should be in their father’s homes are forced into sex business. They turn them into products that must satisfy the sexual needs of their customers who are as old as their fathers. These are what #man’s sexual desires created.
blogger-image-1618066832

In the past, it was said that the way into the heart of a man is through his stomach. Fafa fawu! That was then when men didn’t have access to fast #food and Mamacas. Today if a woman forms Shina Rambo with her food, the man would just bounce out of the house and head to the nearest restaurant and fill his stomach like filling up the tank of a car. This applies to all men because there is no sin in eating out.

Today, the way to a man’s heart is SEX! I say so with boldness. A man who is sex starved by his wife, I mean a woman he truly loves is very dangerous especially if he doesn’t know how to control his emotions. This man could go out and get a disease that would wipe out the whole family!

This is because unlike food not all men can easily bounce out of the house to satisfy their sexual needs like they would to a restaurant because some men consider it a sin while some others don’t even get sex from their wives. They get a deluxe sexual package from their mistress or mistresses.
couple-love-men-sex-women-Favim.com-350644

Sex is the oil that lubricates a relationship; in this case a #marriage between a male and a female. If you are not in this category…. sorry! You can easily tell when a couple just had sex because it has a way of rubbing off on their attitude towards each other. They just blend unconsciously.
Sex is the only communication between two souls that involves the physical penetration into each other. It is the most powerful way to know someone. That’s why it is called intercourse. The Bible uses the word ‘know’ to describe #sexual intercourse between two #married people.

Sex starved marriage is a dead marriage! This marriage will lack harmony, peace, and freedom of expression. There would friction. This is why some marriages have issues when the wife is pregnant. Most men at this period get a clean younger lady outside who satisfies their sexual needs while they keep their love for their wives. This is if the man loves his wife o because some take away everything from her.
images-8
A marriage that the couple is very sexually active with each other will glow at all times! You can touch their radiant happiness and closeness! It is not rocket science, it is easy to know. They would love themselves more, care for themselves more and be interested in each other more than the sex starved couple. God made sex for more; he didn’t just make it for reproduction alone. It is also for the enjoyment of two people who are married to each other.

It is disheartening to see a couple that had so much sex while they were dating now find it very hard to enjoy themselves as married lovers. This could be caused by the fact that they probably had each other too much before they even began their journey. It could also be a case of ‘see finish’, there is nothing to spark up their interest in each other any more. They are dry woods to each other.

There is still the case where the wife hoards her vagina like the filling stations hoard fuel during fuel scarcity in Nigeria. They just want the man crawling on the floor like a 7 months old baby, crying and begging them to open their legs so they can enter. Some stupid women do it to the extent the man discovers that his solution is outside his house before he explodes.
Some women even create timetable for sex with the man who paid their dowry as though it is the food timetable in a boarding school! Common…. This is wickedness. Even the Bible said and I quote: ‘do not deny yourselves of each other’. That shows you that God knows what’s up.
sex and the man

On the other hand, men must also understand their wives are not wired like them. There are women who can stay a full year without thinking of sex, yea they exist. I actually don’t know the kind of advice I would give to their husbands but I know that the good thing about them is, if you are not going to be around for a long time, you don’t need to be afraid of her straying into the arms of her school days boyfriend because her vagina is as good as padlocked! If you are the type who makes a lot of long trips, thank God but if you are the type who is always around…. Woe unto you!

In closing, if you still doubt the ever present power of sex in a marriage then why do some men deliver more money into the hands of their mistress than they give their wives? What else does the mistress give them the wife can’t give and even add more? This is the woman who has given him kids and keeps his home.

Some men are more close to their secretary who doubles as his mistress than they are to their wives. The mistress knows more about the man’s investment than his wife. Remember she goes everywhere with him assisting him personally! So she is always there when the investments are made … the wife doesn’t. The wife of such a man is nothing but a baby machine and definitely his punching bag. Chikina.

Husbands and wives…. Enjoy thy selves, it is a holy command! Try and renew your interests on each other. Have sex anytime and anywhere honorable the desire comes.

Career / 4 Signs You Are Wired To Be A Boss by sirchikero: 7:26am On Apr 14, 2016
The truth is, not everyone will be the #boss of his or her own company and not everyone would work for others. This means that not everyone is wired to be an #entrepreneur while others are born to be like soldiers who follow orders from a visionary.
Another truth is, some people just have the grace to work for others. This is the kind of people that when you employ them, your company begins to experience some level of blessing and the moment you sack them, your company might start nose-diving.

Some one once told me that he is wired to work for some one else. His point is, he needs some one to push him if not he can’t be at his best. Now this kind of guys, don’t even need a cool dude as their boss, they need head hunters. Some one who can keep them on their toes. To me he can still run a company but he would need a partner who can drive it.
sad staff

I hate to be #employed! Not because I don’t like it, no. I tried it for years, it didn’t just work. I just can’t survive as an employee. I hate supervision; I don’t function at my best when I am supervised. I make too many mistakes. I feel bottled because I can’t freely express myself. My #ideas will remain in my head because some bosses don’t like your ideas. Again I have never had a wonderful financial experience working for others. The stories have always been of unpaid salaries. They always gave me big positions without money… na position I go chop? MD without money is Money Dry!

If you discover that you actually prefer working for others, without having to bother yourself with how to pay salaries, if you don’t like the challenge of not knowing where the next money would come from… it is not a sin. You are safe as an employee!

If you are alive when chasing the uncertain future of creating something new, if ideas of how to do things in better and easier ways keep hatching in your mind and you seems to know how to turn them into a business then it looks like you are my comrade!
female-entrepreneur

Here are four tips that will help you know for sure you are wired to be the boss of many.

Celebrities / Why Nigerians Are The Reason The Likes Of Davido And Olamide Sing Trash by sirchikero: 8:17am On Apr 13, 2016
It is interested to know that Nigerians now completely prefer to listen and dance to #Nigerian music. Before the arrival of the likes of Prime Time Jams, STV, Rhythm FM and the other children of the radio world, Nigerians listened and danced to only American #songs. Nobody cared about your studio hustle.

The electronic media gradually forced Nigerian #music down on us like a mother gently forces a shirt through the big head of her child. Today, we don’t even remember how we fell in love with Nigerian music. How can you enjoy yourself in a party where the only songs being played by the DJ are American? I don’t about you , I will just plug my earphones on and turn on my Naija playlist and nod to songs by 2face Idibia,

Many Nigerians have said that the Nigerian music sector lacks contents. They blame the musicians for saying rubbish on good beats. For instance, the contents on the songs of the likes of Davido and #Olamide are either meaningless or ‘bombom’ and cash oriented. The fact that Davido is making millions for saying things like, ‘ I get many kele… many want my car but their money no reach’ is ludicrous!

The problem is, these kinds of Singers are the ones excelling in Nigeria. They are the ones smiling to the banks; they are the ones getting all the product endorsements! Davido just signed a two-year endorsement deal with Pepsi.

How many shows has Timi Dakolo gotten after making so much sense? How many #endorsement deals has #Dare Art Alade been given? The endorsement deals fly into the arms of the artistes singing songs that do nothing but corrupt even a prostitute.

Now my point. The Nigerian musicians are real businessmen! They are doing what every businessman would do -supply a demand! The Nigerian market loves the contents, it is going crazy with these meaningless dance tracks. It is only a mad man who would see an opportunity to legitimately make millions and refuse to jump into it.

The Nigerian music consumers are to blame for the low content quality the artists churn out on a daily basis. We are hypocritical in this part of the world, we say something else and do the exact opposite. If the artiste find out that no one is buying their junks, they will take time to create quality contents. They will never do that if we continue to give their shows sold out status and make them most downloaded artists of the month. Vote them as the winners of the album and artist of the year awards. If we continue this way then we might as well tell good music to rest in peace!

The only assurance the likes of 2face Idibia , Timi Dakolo, Dare Art Alade have is the longevity power their works have. The songs will out live them for sure. The likes of Olamide and Davido can’t leave a valuable catalogue for their descendants as inheritance because nobody would be buying any shit from them in 50 years.

Pas Chikero.

Politics / Why You Shouldn’t Move To The Island If You Are Not A Drug Baron, Corrupt Politi by sirchikero: 8:41am On Apr 12, 2016
I was on my way to the #Island one day when it dawned on me that the real reason there is a mad rush to live and work on the Island actually can be traced back to the White Men and early Nigerian aristocrats who made the Island the abode of the high and mighty. The Island was where the envied lived and operated from.

When the White Men left, Nigerian big boys took over full time. Now if you are rich and living on the mainland, you are considered an upcoming rich man. They turned the island to a place where only the filthy rich express their wild dreams.

It is only on the island you can see a young guy driving a G-Wagon or any other luxury vehicle you can imagine and tell you it belongs to me or his father.

Island is that part of Lagos where a young man spend a million naira in one night in a pub or night club and smile home.

The Island as now constituted is populated with drug barons, corrupt politicians, big time Fraudsters, corrupt civil servants and also successful business men and women, #celebrities, expatriates and great Nigerians.

The corporate bodies too jumped into it too and moved their head quarters to the Island. The best and tallest buildings and hotels in Lagos are found on the Island. Everything beautiful, adorable and extravagant migrated to the island part of Lagos State.

This created a #life style that only #Fela’s ‘suffering and smiling’ song can truly explain. Every morning, there is a huge surge of human beings moving from the mainland to the island to work and back in the evening after work. Most of them would have preferred to live near their offices but a lot of factors prevent this from happening. So they are left with no other choice than to suffer the deadly traffic the island is cursed with.

Family / The Father Vs The Dad by sirchikero: 7:31am On Apr 11, 2016
Did that title annoy you? Oh I am sorry but the butt naked truth is, there is a big difference between the Dad and the #Father. You should also know that one could be a father without being the Dad! Hope that didn’t widen your eyes? That’s true bro.

Let me explain, a guy who fathers a child and disappears or is never around to bring up the child…. Is just a father. He just fathered the child. Now you know that a dad is not just the one whose sperm made it to the ovum!

A dad could be both the father and the dad but could also be a man who adopted a child and raises him or her well. A dad is the father and something more to a child. Every man can be a father but not every father has the patience to be a dad. Fathers don’t bother themselves with the day to day of raising a child. Some fathers got that status by just getting a lady or girl pregnant without even marrying her.
daddy's home

Some actually marry, father kids but are never around. They never care, they never bond. They just provide #food, roof over their heads and school fees. The rest? They leave to the mother to knock down on her own.

A dad is the man who fathered a child and jointly raised the child with his wife. He is the authority figure in the home; he is the conscience of the family, the custodian of the culture of the family. He doesn’t just provide for the family, he is always there for the kids; he is available bonding with the kids from childhood. He is that man who might be busy flying round the world on business trips but never misses to have a Skype chat with his family before retiring to bed. He is the man who takes the lead when his wife notices one of the kids needs to be disciplined .

Business / WORKING FROM HOME : My Personal Experience by sirchikero: 8:36am On Apr 09, 2016
I have always wanted to work from my home… this prayer came to reality after years of working on other people’s visions. Permit me dance around a little by telling you about my journey into the world of the employed. After I was done with school in Calabar, a TV and #Nollywood films producer, Harris Chuma, picked up my Radio drama script. From my script he created a popular drama series, Arise Africa, which I scripted for two years.

I acted in the Tv series and also worked as the General Manager of the production company. Arise Africa aired on AIT and STV for those years before one thing led to another and I left the company to start my own production company.
My Nolyywood days. On the set of Arise Africa.
My Nolyywood days. On the set of Arise Africa.
My TV program was given airtime on #MBI but before we could start airing, MBI got shutdown. Too bad! Another chapter opened when I met ace Radio presenter, #Oleka Donatus. We created a TV Reality Show, #Angels TV Reality Show, which aired on HiTV and other 10 terrestrial TV stations nationwide. I was the Assistant Producers.

The show was popular especially in #Port Harcourt but my pocket NEVER smiled! One of the good things I got from the show was, it took me to #Rivers State where I met #Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi who was the Speaker of the State House Assembly then, we also met #Timi Alaibe who was in charge of #NDDC.

The entertainment sector didn’t take care of me financially so I ventured into Journalism since I write. As a Journalist, I rose to the enviable position of the Assistant Editor then I decided to start a free blog on Blogger. This has been my dream.

The blogging was my side hustle while I was still working with #Bravo Weekly Magazine. At a point God inspired me to take the plunge-resign. I did because as that time I was owed several months salary, I was married man with kids, it wasn’t easy. I focused on my first wordpress website. Then money started coming that could take care of my needs, then I bought my first car- Xterra, that fuel drinker!

At this juncture, I didn’t have an office to go to except work from my house. My wife was working on the Island as a Surveyor. Once the kids and my wife leave in the morning, I was left at home alone to write and think about my life. It was official ….I was working from the house!

Family / CESAREAN SECTION: The Clash Of The Spirituals, The Liberals And The Man by sirchikero: 7:14am On Apr 08, 2016
An argument spewed between me and some of my neighbors, the topic of argument? The evil of cesarean section. One of my neighbors who lives in Brazil started the argument when he asked, why is it that in Nigeria #cesarean delivery is seen as evil while in Brazil it is a normal thing, he asked angrily. Why he asked is the topic for another day.
pregnant woman

My other neighbor followed up with, ‘the truth is, it is not a natural way to bring a child into the world.’ Boom the beginning of the end!

This got me thinking why some Nigerians really see cesarean delivery as evil. I think it is a typical case of ‘one man’s pomo being another’s leather’! There are people who think there is absolutely nothing wrong with it but to really make a conclusion, I prefer to look at it through the eyes of these three set of people: The #Spirituals, #The Liberals and The Man.

cesarean section
The Spirituals:
Some people who are spiritual or who love to read spiritual meanings to everything believe that God made the woman’s vagina as the road every baby must travel into the world and to them, anything other than this, is not natural, it’s not God’s way. They pray ‘You will deliver like the Hebrew women’… that means natural, very fast and may be stress less! Anything outside this actually is not from God.

Fashion / Men Wearing Underpants, All You Must Know by sirchikero: 7:47am On Apr 07, 2016
The modern man seems to have neglected the shield of his most prized possession, his penis! Our parents couldn’t do without the #underpants like the fish can’t do without water. Boxers have kind of taken the place of the underpants in the wardrobes of #men . I don’t know about you, I just don’t like wearing #pants! It just doesn’t fit. I feel very uncomfortable wearing it. I thought I was alone until I asked around and found that many young men have dumped the pant.
boxers

I asked a young Nigerian #designer if he wears pants, with disgust he said:
‘Why would I wear pants when I am not gay”. That actually shocked me…. I thought to myself REALLY? Does he mean that only gays wear pants? Well I don’t think so because if so underwear manufacturers like #Calvin Klein would have gone out of business.

Politics / Según Osoba, Tope Aluko And The Return Of The Prodigal Sons – Paschal Chikero by sirchikero: 9:09pm On Apr 04, 2016
We live in a country where politicians only perch on the tree with fruits to feed on and one with large leaves to hide them from the long hand of justice. A typical case here is the return of Segun Osoba to #APC. Lets also remember the defection of a certain Femi Fani-Kayode to #PDP after saying all sorts of unprintable things about the then president, Goodluck Jonathan and his party, PDP. Immediately he landed in PDP and started character assassination , his case in #court was settled and he became a saint!

Osoba has the right to belong to any political party he wishes to associate with but the puzzle here is, why is he going back to APC now? Segun Osoba abandoned the APC at a critical time and went further to build a strong party in #Ogun State, SDP just because #Governor Amosu refused to hand over the party’s structure to him. The man is back to APC! People are wondering why, his return has triggered wagging tongues . Why would he dump the house he built to become a tenant? There must be something chasing this toad in broad day light!

This assumption is because he is returning after his name was mentioned in the Arms Procurement Fund scandal aka #DasukiGate. The question flying around is, why return to the APC…. for protection? It looks like he is ready to swallow his pride just to protect himself.

If Osoba is guilty and escapes punishment because he is back with the APC then APC is also full of shit! If he is guilty as accused then like Bukola Saraki he should have his day in court.

We must make institutions independent and more powerful than individuals or else this country will remain in the hands of principalities.

The same thing is going on in #Ekiti State with Dr. Tope Aluko and #Governor #Ayo Fayose. Aluko and Fayose have reconciled after Aluko implicated the military, Fayose , Obanikoro and co in an electoral fraud. The Nigerian Army Council just sacked the implicated Brigadier-Generals because of his allegations and all we are hearing now is that he is making love with Ayo Fayose?

Now why is Aluko making up with Fayose now after the military sacked the Brigadier-Generals? Does it mean that APC disappointed him and Ayo Fayose is offering a better deal or is Fayose planning to use him to unleash another mayhem on APC? Could this makeup even lead to decamping of Ayo Fayose to APC? I know that will startle you but it is very possible. If you watch the kind of great words Ayo Fayose uses this days to praise #Bola Tinubu, you would be wondering where this is headed.

I must admit that it is also not out of place for two people who had a misunderstanding to make up and make peace but this is a dangerous and deceptive one because lives sometimes are lost in these power tussles. Imagine if people died in the process and they make up later, those lives would have been lost for nothing without any benefit whatsoever for their families!

See the lives that have been lost in #Rivers State elections, tomorrow #Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and Governor #Nyesom Wike will reconcile and the dead would have gone for nothing.

The Nigerian people must wake up and stop falling victims every time! These politicians’ children don’t ever mount podiums to campaign for their parents like we see abroad but the poor Nigerians’ children are the ones who mount road blocks to prevent an opposition from penetrating into an area.

GOD BLESS #NIGERIA.

Politics / The Nigerian Budget And The Way Forward by sirchikero: 1:29pm On Apr 01, 2016
The National Assembly seems to be constituted with lawmakers who just want to mislead the Nigerian people. Why? They knew that the 2016 budget would not be signed into law by the President without details but they told Nigerians that they have done their part. You cannot say you have approved the budget when you didn’t release the details of what you approved. The question nobody is asking these lawmakers is why didn’t you provide those details immediately or wait until you get your figures right before handing over to the President?

Could it be that they thought the President could ignorantly sign what he has not seen into law and create room for more padding? The President could have signed a document that would have implicated him. Imagine if he had signed the budget, and the details come out to reveal that they have moved figures around in favor of what they care for? This move is very deceptive! It also questions the integrity of these lawmakers.

CONSTITUTIONAL BUDGET TIME FRAME

This budget is the most scrutinized and dramatized Nigerian budget so far. This is because there is no constitutional timeline for the presentation, passing and signing into law of the Nigerian budget for a fiscal year. The lawmakers can make themselves more useful by enacting a law that constitutionally sets the time frame like we have with the handing over date, within which the budget would be presented by the President to the National Assembly and finally signed into law by the President.

This solves lot problems. For instance if the budget is signed into law a month before the raining season, how can construction projects kick off immediately? But if the National Assembly considers this, enacts a law that sets the time frame for the signing of the budget months before raining season, a lot could be achieved before then.

It also blocks loopholes for corrupt practices. Nobody asks questions on where the unspent allocated funds for the budget go to after the fiscal year. Most times the unspent cash find their way into the personal pockets of the powerful.

GRASSROOT BUDGET PLANNING
For subsequent budget planning, I think it would be better if the Executive arm of government adopted a grass root approach preparing the budget. It would be better if the people at local government level contributed by suggesting the projects they really want in their locality. The Legislative arm on the other hand should create a budget office that works hand in hand with the Ministry of Budget and National Planning to ensure a hassle free passing of the budget at the National Assembly level so the embarrassment of the 2016 budget would not reincarnate again in 2017.

BUDGET FINANCE:

There have been a lot of demands by Nigerians for the use of the recovered funds from the squandered Arms Procurement Fund by the Buhari administration to execute the budget instead borrowing. The fact is that there is nothing wrong with borrowing money as far as the money is used to finance capital projects. The good news here is that Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has said loans will be sourced from foreign sources. Read her words below:
“In a statement, by the spokesperson for the Minister, Mrs Adeosun said that the overall objective of the loan was to provide the lowest possible cost of funds to finance capital projects proposed under the government’s plan to stimulate the economy.
“These capital projects include power, transport, road, housing among others”, it read.
The Minister also explained that options with multi-lateral agencies including the World Bank and African Development Bank (AfDB) were being explored.
Multilateral agencies provide loans on concessional terms, which include low interest, moratorium before repayment and long tenure.
The second funding option being explored is Export Credit Agencies such as China Exim Bank.”- Channelstv.com

FINAL THOUGHT
Finally, we must demand that the National Assembly makes its budget public! This will enable the Nigerian people know how much these lawmakers allocate for what and arm us with information to follow up on the execution of projects in our senatorial districts. This drama must stop!

Politics / Governor Wike And Amaechi Have Become Pins In The Ass Of Rivers State by sirchikero: 8:10pm On Mar 31, 2016
By: Paschal Chikero

The struggle to grab and maintain power in the Rivers State has become shameful! It is more unbelievable when you remember that lives are being lost and the instigators of this crisis are known political figures in the persons of Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, former #Governor of the state and #Nigeria‘s #Minister of Transportation, and a former Minister and the serving Governor of the State, #Nyesom Wike!

To me this is disgraceful on both parts. These leaders are meant to be the ones calling their gangsters in order to stop the violence that is destroying the state instead they are vomiting words that are motivating the youth to create mayhem .

The #PDP via its Twitter handle has alleged that #Rotimi Amaechi is mounting pressure on President #Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on Rivers State.

If this allegation is true, one wonders if Amaechi has forgotten he is no longer the Governor of Rivers State, he must know that his ministry has a lot of challenges he should face squarely. Amaechi must allow Nyesom Wike to govern his state, he is the governor for Christ’s sake.

On the other part, Nyesom Wike should stop making us believe that his mission as the governor of Rivers State is to bring Amaechi down. He is the one who is meant to reach out to the stakeholders in the state to bring back peace in the state. He should know that you can’t drive development in the midst of violence.

The #Bola Tinubu Colloquium has become a melting pot of ideas. It always parades the best brains in the country coming together to share ideas on how to move the nation forward. The #8th Bola Tinubu Colloquium held in Abuja today March 29th focused on #Agriculture. The President who chaired the event spoke greatly on the good plans his government has. He said it has become necessary for #Nigeria to feed herself. He also said that the diversification of the economy is no longer a slogan but a necessity.

Politics / How Nigerian Leaders Can Spend Less And Achieve More With Youtube by sirchikero: 5:59pm On Mar 29, 2016
In the past #Nigerian Presidents communicated back to Nigerians via official media parleys with representatives from top Newspaper organizations and TV stations physically marshaling the questions. Like a reality TV show, everybody will glue his or her eyeballs to the TV set. If NEPA or today’s PHCN decides you wouldn’t watch by taking your light then you have to spend extra money fueling your generator.

YouTube

Today, the Google acquired $1.65 billion video sharing platform called #YouTube has presented our leaders a much less expensive and more effective communication channel. Social media has often made news contents go viral. It has also given power to the users. With YouTube the people wouldn’t have to do everything possible to watch the parley live in front a TV set because they can always catch up online.

YouTube videos can be assessed by anyone, anywhere in the world so even Nigerians in diaspora can watch the video of presidential press parley from anywhere.

Our leaders have to embrace what information technology has put in their hands. Instead of spending so much organizing these media reality shows, they can have an official YouTube channel like they have on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Every time they need to educate or give update on a pressing national issue, they just make a YouTube video that the President, #Minister or #Governor presents the information needed to inform the people. I can bet the video will go viral! The blogs, Twitter trolls will hunt it down. Terrestrial and cable TV channels will download and broadcast at their own convenience without having to yank off programs.

Nigerians will watch from anywhere and anytime even in traffic! They don’t need to depend on PHCN to watch, they don’t need to rush to a TV set because they can watch from a smartphone, tablet or a computer.

The popular #Babatunde Fashola #Power Sector interview is a very good example. Most people who watched it saw it online with YouTube as the landing page. The Minister doesn’t need any formal interview by a TV station or a Newspaper to keep Nigerians up to date on the direction his ministry is taking to give Nigerians 24 hours power supply.

All they need to do is get a YouTube video making team in their communication department, create a YouTube channel and regularly feed the beast! This will help to keep the citizens abreast. It will also kill the rumor monster that feeds the people lies!

Business / GT Bank 737: Simplicity Just Became The Outmost Sophistication by sirchikero: 3:34pm On Mar 29, 2016
In the age of digital revolution, it is the very simple technological innovations that often have the most transformative impact on people and the society. Foremost financial institution; Guaranty Trust Bank plc has once again set a new standard in electronic banking services with the introduction of Bank 737.

Introduced by #GTBank, Bank 737 offers a very simple banking alternative which remarkably does away with virtually all of the limitations of not just conventional banking (going to a bank branch for banking services), but also online banking. While conventional banking requires the physical presence of the customer at a bank branch, and online banking demands Internet access and a mobile application, banking via 737 requires none of the above. Bank 737 is a true test of simplicity. GTBank customers no longer need to bother about data or internet connection as the service is built on a USSD interface which enables it work on any type of mobile device. Users are required to simply dial the short USSD *737# from any mobile phone to get started.

GTBank’s Bank 737 offers a wide range of banking services, from money transfer to card less withdrawal, bill payments, airtime recharge and even unique services like token pin generation, checking the status of cheque book request, retrieving internet banking details, amongst others. It is not just about the wide range of services available on the 737, but how the services are delivered; by simply dialing *737# on any mobile phone.

If the simplicity of the Bank 737 is amazing, its speed is even more so. Transactions using the 737 take less than a minute to conclude, meaning it is even quicker than online money transfer. It gets even faster with the availability of short access codes. Among these are *737*0# for account opening, *737*7# to generate token code, *737*37*Amount*Smart Card No# to pay for Star Times Subscription and so much more.

Backing up its simplicity and speed, is its security. The customer is the only one who can access the 737 service for his or her GTBank Account because it only makes use of the mobile number that is linked to the account. Bank 737 also requires customers to personally sign off all their transactions by providing the four last digits of your GTBank Naira MasterCard.

“We have seen remarkable success in the volume of transactions via the Bank 737, and this is largely due to the simplicity of the platform and the convenience that it affords our customers,” said Segun Agbaje, the Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank plc. “The introduction of Bank 737 marks another milestone in our quest to make banking truly simple for our customers. We remain firm in our objective to delivering banking products and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our ever-growing customer base by leveraging technology to make banking services more accessible, faster and safer for all our customers” he added.
