It is no longer news that Nigeria economy is currently in recession, and this is not peculiar to Nigeria alone, many countries across the globe are experiencing the same. It is also a trend that may be on for a while. Some of the things that characterise an economy that is in recession is, company downsizing and people loosing their jobs. This means, getting a good job will become highly competitive. Considering the fact that, the job was even scarce when there was no recession. However, some of the point stated bellow will surely give you an edge even in the face of scarce job. Do what others wouldn't want to do The first thing is for you to be sincere with yourself. This is not the time for you to be thinking that some jobs are too small for you. You have to be realistic in your search. Even if it is just for the sake of having some experience, get ready to take that job which others will not want to take. Many young graduate are mentally lazy because of the taught they have been fed with while on campus. An average graduate hate marketing job. They will rather want to be somewhere in front of computer, operating behind the scene. Meanwhile, many organisations are in dire need of good marketer/sales person. And it could be very rewarding for anyone who can take the bull by the horn. This is because eighty percent of the business of every companies is in the hands of marketers/sales staff. Develop passion for whatever job you find Its just all about having passion for whatever you find your hand on and not what you actually study. I know of someone who study Agriculture related course in the university, but due to lack of Agric related job, he eventually find himself in insurance selling. He is today a very senior manager in one of the notable insurance companies in the country. The secret of his success is quiet simple, he developed passion for that job he find himself doing and he is now very successful at it. Change your mentality Your mentality is a major determinant of what you can achievement in life. Many people are just looking for money without first thinking of the value they are to provide in exchange for the money. The mentality of always looking for money without any outstanding value you intend rendering for the organisation will get you to no where. Even if you are able to get a job with such mentality, you may no be able to keep such job for long. Be sincere with yourself! So many people are looking for that same job with more excellent credentials. Therefore it goes beyond just credentials, the employers are looking for someone who can give them value they want in exchange for money. I think this is a clear case of policy somersault. However, it will still be very necessary to place import restriction on rice and most food we are importing in the long run. The only problem is the timing. |
Many of our youth are just confused, and thats why I always pity the future of this country. |
This is what Fela refered to as Army arrangement!!! So many Nigerians are inside prison, awaiting trial for an offence they never committed. meanwhile the real criminals are walking round the town in high places.. |
If it were to be in the days of old testament, this people would have just been stone to death straight. because that is what they deserve... |
One thing I like about this man is that, he is always with ready made reply for any party issue. Very assertive and articulate. How I wish we could get someone like him in the present PDP.. |
This party may soon become a forgotten party unless something is done. |
This is one of the reason why nigeria education sector has been in commatose. And this same people will join ASU to go on strike.. |
if you can get olive oil, that will be good tonight, then go & see ENT Doctor tommorow. or if you can just flush the ear yourelf tommorow. I think the medical Doctors in the house may still have a better ideas sha.. |
obiremy:I will not want to subscribe to this type of cheap blackmail of the comrade governor Oshomole. It is true that oshomole was once angry with the widow because the woman break the Edo state environmental law. But do you know that the same Oshomole later give the woman job? The concerned woman is praying for oshomole today for helping her out of poverty, meanwhile you are busy wailling. |
limeta:Must you comment if you don't have anything meaniningful to say? |
Dino Melaye is finished! 2019 is just around the corner, its then he will know that he is not an heavy weight.. |
Abeymills:I wish you understand the implications. If you because of Daura president make such amendments, what happens if the man is out of the position? 'Lot of Nigerian youth are just short sighted. What a country!! |
Evan. Shola Rotimi was a popular yoruba gospel musician in those days. Some of the song still bless me till date. But we seems not to be hearing so much from him for a while now. Is there anyone with information about this gospel musician? |
OLADD:If you are Nigeria government, what will you do?Its only a bad manager that will not use the feud among the labour union to his or her advanyage. That's how to operate in a competition! I will advice you to read a management book titled "Art of war" by Sun Tzu. |
This is a Photoshop work. The picture isn't real!!! |
I disagreed with Oga Dele Momodu on this. Are you saying that the trial shouldn't continue because it is Saraki? What happen to thousands of Nigerian who are being kept in prison on awaiting trial over an offense they know nothing? Or are you saying that Saraki should be left alone because other ex governor's are guilty of the same offense. How logical is that? I want to believe that one day, all the sinner will have their cup full and they will have to face the full weight of law. I think it is presently Saraki's turn, & he should face it.. |
With what I saw when my friend wife was to give birth last year. Honestly, am beginning to hate the medical doctors in Nigeria. And they are pushing us to a place where we are going to wage serious war against them.. |
Its unfortunate how people just stay in their room & spread false rumors. Anyway, there is currently an ongoing independent investigation of the incident by Nigeria Bar Association. The report should be out in February. I can bet you that the investigation will be thorough, because I have been opportune to listen to one of the members of the investigating team. They are going as far as hearing from the people that live in the same environment where the stuff happened. So, anybody can cook so many lie but the truth of the matter will soon be revealed. |
maldox:I think intercontinental ban shares now fall under access bank. You will need to visit the registrar of access bank to know how may shares you now have under access bank. because, surely your shares would have been converted to a number of shares of access bank because of the acquisition. If you are in Lagos, you can visit United Securities Limited 10 Amodu Ojikutu Street Off Bishop Oluwole Street Victoria Island, Lagos. Thats Access bank registrar. |
Once you fill the e-dividend form. All the unclaim dividend will be calculated & transferred to your bank account direct. |

alcmene:No body is disobeying court order here, & that's what most Nigerian didn't know. Dasuki have different cases going on at different court. So, all the courts must grant him bail, & he must be able to fulfill the bail conditions from all the court before he can finally be released. If FCT high Court granted him bail, he will still need to be granted bail by federal high Court before he can finally be released. Because the charges are different!!! His lawyers knows, therefore you don't need to cry more than the believed! |
Try to visit the registrar of the company you bought the share for the proper update of your account, there you can also fill the form for the e-dividend. |
I think you should ask GOOGLE! |
Mugun NANS! Because Buhari has not been looking at your side for bribe, & the awoof has stopped since the new government assumed office. I advice you to better face your education. Who doesn't know how the so called NANS excos are normally form in a do or die affair? |
Stupidity of the highes order! People are just so gullible in this country. Its very unfortunate that we are not used to things being done in the right way. A criminal is being prosecuted & some stupid people are protesting, calling it politics. When are we going to wake up in this country? Hear the billions of naira stolen by few people, & poor Nigerian are dying on daily basis. I can't image that some stupid fellow carrying placards of protest in support of harmed rubbers... |
Nigeria can actually make a lot of money from fine. Because we have so many lawless corporate organization. |
NCC have the right to fine MTN now, at least if government collect that money. It will go a long way in financing 2016 budget. MTN is a useless operator, just cheating Nigerian! |
It is not true! Tribunal can only order for a fresh election. The present electoral law does not give power to tribunal to sack a governor, but can only order for another election. |
LastSurvivor:Go & ask south Sudan, you will not want to talk about going secession. |
