Family / Re: Things That Happen When You Grow-up In An African House by sirgeorge(m): 11:30am On Jun 02, 2013
I experienced all of the above and now as an adult I wish I was brought up differently.There are some very good points in there but most of the rest are just plain ridiculous.Tyrannizing your kids in the name of african moral upbringing.

Literature / Re: Discuss Dostoyevsky's Claim by sirgeorge(m): 9:45pm On Apr 14, 2012
My observation: Scientific knowledge should be taken with a pinch of salt where there is a question of what is sacred in humans.How can scientific knowledge acquired by study and research lead to spirituality?Knowledge is what the brain can concieve.Yet the perceptive capacitiy of our brains are highly limited(our brains are bound within space and time).Spiritual concepts like eternity and infinity cannot be hgrasped by the human brain. Do correct me if I'm wrong or off topic.

My advice to zack mother*95% if not all,out of all children has madness reciding in their hearts.Just like Herod's daughter when he has nothing to request than John the Baptist's head.Imagine,for what? To play chess or zip viju milk?.Zack childish decision is ungodly and he needs pankere,cain,or cogel to correct his wrong GID.Train up a child in the way he should go.when he grows up,he shall not depart from it.JESUS LOVES YOU.

Why not try INSEAD, Paris? Check if the course is done there. INSEAD is a big one globally.

Insead money is not beans o!Let me not kill my parents before their time.Besides virtually every school offering the grande ecole is well accredited and so i've pretty much narrowed down the schools i'll like to attend.

@All the senior men in the house

You guys gave me some good advice some months back on why not to take an MBA straight out of school.Just want to say a big thanks as i've done my homework now and things seem kinda clearer.

P.S: i would like to a honest opinion as to whether a masters in international management(more specifically a grande ecole program in france)is a better option and how it is viewed in the business world(both nationally and internationally).

Thanks Again.

@naijababe
three words: i loved it.It's no easy thing to turn the life of a basically ordinary family into a kinda sensational one.I can't think of a better way it could have ended. the woman is good no doubt but definitely not the next Soyinka or Achebe as people like to think. Just my thoughts,

@Topic
Blood diamonds by greg campbell(not based on the movie and a lot more graphic,it's terrifying really).Its funny how in the past week i've read 2 totally different books both named blood diamonds and then watched the movie. I'm beginning to have dreams about diamonds,brutal soldiers and chopped-off body parts.God help me,

Much much better albeit with a rather abrupt ending, IMO. I'm not sure she thought through what she finally wanted to do with the characters.

Although i'm kinda late to the party,i'm really enjoying purple hibiscus.Happy i picked it because after reading half of a yellow sun i began to wander what all the fuss about chimamanda was about.All doubts have been officially erased.
