i didnt know that despoil has now become a bad word. how can r.a.pe be a bad word? i think the word despoil" is just trying to underscore the true meaning and horrific nature of that word and it shouldnt be. very embarrassing and unfair to those who have gone through it.

i hope that boy is also charged with ra.p.e because that is exactly what he did.

speaking personally for myself, it is not something i would be proud of  or gracefully encourage and i dont think any good mother in the deepest depth of her heart would also, but those are just wishes because at last, the girl is going to make the decision herself to or not to. but the good thing about is that as a mother and as a parent you are in better position to let her know her options and leave the decision to her.
FamilyRe: CHALLENGE: when a member of your Family is Infected with HIV/AIDS... by Sissy3(f): 9:52am On Dec 23, 2009
HIV/AIDS people need very bit of support they can get and it is very hard for member of your family whom should have your back when the world turns against you, to turn their back on you in such difficult time and at a time when you need their love and support the most.

those with such illness should be treated with respect and love like any other human being. it is not a death sentence. and people need to be educated and be aware that touching or sharing a plate, spoon or fork or a toilet seat, bed etc doesnt transmit the infection. this is something most people are ignorant about which in turn warrants the ill treatment these people get. so families of those with such illness need to know that doing any of the above dont mean they will get it. and parents should not forsake their children because they have it. HIV/AIDS is not a death sentence. it is very manageable.

the ill treatment and discrimination most get is often due to ignorant about the diseases

people have children so they can have someone like you who doesnt know the reason why people have children. j/k

God said "go and multiple the world". so having kids is an order from the man upstairs

want a family, continuation of lineage, financial and economy reasons, love, companionship, societal and family pressure, are just few of the reasons

people have children.

seems like youre in dire need of a husband and by any means you must get married. better be careful, remember desperation attracts desperation.

when men sense the "get married in '10 or get old trying" slate in you they will definitely take advantage of that and you will be back here with a thread titled "what is it with nigeria men"

when you go home to look for a husband, conduct yourself and bring yourself down because these days not only women know to how pretend and do anything in-order to cross the border men are also in the game. and believe me you, they do really well in it.

marriage is not a game of who gets there first or who gets the ring in the 4th finger earliest. if you rush into marriage, my dear i guarantee you, you will definitely rush out.

RomanceRe: I Just Found Out She Did Abortion Twice Before We Met. by Sissy3(f): 3:13am On Dec 22, 2009
Am always happy when i hear about girls and abortion. Its always a good thing to know that a girl has had an abortion and it only goes to show how gullible and silly she was. These days i try to date vunerable women who end up enjoying sex so much and in between they end up getting pregnant and missing their period. Those 2-3 weeks they have missed their periods is so hilarious when you see them scared and shaking and talking all kind of sh**t to see if the preganancy will go away and you end up coercing them to do the abortion unless their lives will be over as they know it.

They take 1 week or so weighing the pros and cons of it and the fear of humilation drives them to accept it and plead with me not to tell anybody, not knowing i am laughing inside and  spilled the beans to some of my boys that that LovePeddler is about to "drop one very soon"

Getting an abortion doctor is so damn simple cos some of them were university buddies and will take chump change to do a d/c on them and i always make sure the doctor performs the painful one when he inserts a plier looking object deep into their va-gina and draws out the foetus. You can always hear the whincing and screaming and oozing of blood by the chic  when am sitting outside close to the room that she is been perforated untop . .  and at that moment i am laughing myself hoarse thinking how this same LovePeddler in the abortion room was doing shakara for me when i was toasting her and all her forming and silly words. Now she is crying blood as they are about to remove possible her last chance to be a mother and most of the time, i would be fairly comfortable if the doctor tells me privately that her womb has been permanently damaged and when i hear stuffs like that, i know mission accomplished and after a week or so of trying to feel sympathetic with her for losing the  child, i pick up a violent quarrel and break up with her to complete the cycle.

I can't count how many times i have gone through this process with women but i really do enjoy what i do and even though the chic ends up swearing for me as if i give a rats backside, i try and leak the story to my boys who end up spreading the word to other prospective boys to avoid her and thats when that shakara looking biatch ends up going to churc to become a full born again because her social life has been partally ruined while mine is just beginning!

Gosh i am glad i wasnt born a woman
adam and his garbage are back embarassed embarassed

~If you have so much "faith" in your pastor's revelation, why dont you use that same Faith to belive when the time is Right,The man that is destined to be yours will "walk into your life"!

~I dont employ Single women to get to that stage of desperation when it comes to a commitment as marriage! Desperation sets you up for a marriage that will be doomed b/c you wanted it for all the wrong reasons!

~Any man who knows how desperate you are will pull wool over your eyes in thinking"This Is It" only for a couple of months into the marriage when the shite gets warmed over & you realise it's not all cut out to be what it was suppose to be!! Then you'll wish you had your "Single &  Independent Life" & didnt envy what you think your friends have!!

~I'm not assuming it will be this way for any Individual Single chic out there, but God knows i personally know of enuff cases that are regretting their choices!! Carrying a "Desperate-to-get-married" tag on thier forehead didnt bear good fruit!! Shot-gun wedding,2/3 babies down the road later,(if it gets to that stage) you'd be beating yourself up over the choices you made!!

~Do some "Soul-searching". . .You know You best -know what you can tolerate. . . aware of your flaws. . .if there's a one thing about your personality that have been mentioned by several Exes or mates-who-tell-it-like-it-is,try & work on those things. . Change You for You,dont let someone less deserving change/scar You then leave you broken . . .there's bound to be a man out there who shares your Morals, whose strength will match your weakness . . . you prolly not looking in the right places!

I'm in favor of sex ed. Children are curious. People are drawn to the forbidden. Not unless the fear of parents is instilled in the child. . .they'd do what you tell them not to do. They need to be aware of the consequences of the act not only on themselves but the people in their lives. I know people think, it's probably too much for a child to handle, but children are fast learners. They can absorb a lot. In this day and age, when sex is not such a taboo topic, it's practical to tell them about it. Those stork delivered a baby thing doesn't work for long.

@gospelseed

must be really hard for you to deal with such.it wouldnt surprise you to know that this problem is not uncommon, it is very common especially with children and many adults too.

i think her main issue is the feeling of lack of security. she needs to be reassured that everything would be fine. in this case, she might think there is something in her room, like a monster or other imaginary creatures/stuffs, she needs to be reassured that there is nothing inside the room, and like Ebony suggested you could just rearrange the her room with her input just so to make her believe all the scary things in there are gone. if she is the only child, maybe you can get her a teddy bear or other stuffed toys to cuddle while sleep.

try finding out the root of her fear of sleeping alone. it could something you could easily talk her out of her.  and find ways to break  the fears and insecurities.

and i would suggest that whenever she wakes up and comes to your room, take her back to her room and reassure her there is no monster in there coz letting her sleep with you would increase the fear and make her believe that something is indeed wrong in there. this is the desensitization method. this would help her overcome the fear gradually. however, it  will be hard at first but consistancy is the key.

try maybe reading her a book before bedtime or keep the light on for a while and see if there is any difference. also be mindful of the types of movies and tv shows/programs she watches especially before bedtime. pray with her, and maybe give her a warm bath before bed. or you try the reward chart, rewarding her every time she sleeps in her room doesnt have to be monetary or foods could be stickers or similar things
