first things first, get yourself tested within few those days |
i dont get your question? |
r231:very interesting. many pastors/priests share the same belief as your pastor. i will tell you an "interesting view" of a particular religion concerning your question. for the catholic church tradtional marriage is no marriage at all. living together after traditional marriage is considered co-habitation. if they marry traditionally, they are not supposed to live together. thus before marriage, no pre-marital sex. co-habitation before marriage is a forbidden practice in the eyes of the CC(thus the reason why living together after traditional marriage is not encouraged) and many priests even go as far as requesting that the couples live separate if they have been cohabiting before the wedding takes place. however, the question now is how many people actually practice this "belief"? very very very few if any, i tell you! |

i think he just got in with the wrong group of "family" while in school and cling to religious extremism for whatever be it they promised to offer him or what he lacked. more reasons why we need to look out for the kinds of "friends/company" our children keep, you cant always protect them but at least . . . . . |
chaircover:but you know sometimes those "step sons/daughters" can actually tear a family down |

Welcome back Tgirl4real!!! we missed your presence. happy new year! Tgirl4real:you really think so? could it be that since he was sent to an out of the country boarding school during his formative years and somehow lacked the parent to child interaction or the father-son interaction that could have helped shaped his person contributed to his extreme views? maybe his interaction with strangers and his mingling with the wrong groups of "family" while in school at such a young age shaped his beliefs? in one of his online posting, he claimed he was lonely and had no one to support him, one may argue that his parents were so much focused on his educational betterment that they forget about his personal developments too especially as a young man? and maybe all the attention/support he needed from his parents/family especially from his father he got at the wrong places? or maybe his coming from a large family of 16 kids contributed also? maybe his parents didn't really have that time for individual attention since they had so many children? these things are possibilities/assumptions. supposing the assumptions are true there are still many people who have had rough/very hard/bad background and still never resorted to any kind of extremism?. |
chaircover:LOL that one na ur only concern |
good point Sissy, but the fact that he is her husband does not mean he is her first love
Okkie maybe not their "first love" per se but the person they fall/were in love with before kids came |
i think also its has something to with our mindset. some nigerians/people will see things with such names as inferior in quality just because its has a "native" name to it. i always hear people say, that shoes made in a city(forgotten which city its) in nigeria is inferior which have prompted many shoemakers in that city to start using "made in china, italy"etc label just to sell market while in reality those "fancy"shoes are actually made in nigeria. i however, dont see the big deal in them using foreign names for their labels, as long as products sell. . . . |
try as much to resist the itch to scratch the blisters might/will pop and leave scars to help with the itching, any of the ffs will help get calamine lotion and put on it take an oatmeal bath. look for oatmeal soap, like aveeno Colloidal Oatmeal soap or make your own.very effective Benadryl Itch Stopping Cream get any Hydrocortizone Anti-Itch Cream get a prescription of Oral Antihistamines get a prescription strength anti-itch cream/lotion cut your fingernails short if you must scratch finally do try to protect the people around you, especially kids and pregnant women remember chickenpox is contagious especially during first few days and until the all the blisters are crusted. |
BlueDiva:how is it improper? she is almost 30 not 21 or 17 and i think your last advice is very wrong. she shouldnt consider marriage as a way to get away from her father. marriage shouldnt be an escape route to ones problem. she has to find ways to deal with the problem before thinking of getting married. |
yes, some women do often neglect their "romance" after having a kid. their priorities change and their child become their utmost priority. which is very understandable, chasing a toddler around, housework and stress is enough to stop the romance machine engine, however, am of the believe that a woman should at least try not forget her friend, and first love, her husband and his needs too. its very doable. |
Gabry:am fine ma sis. latch:it doesnt matter IMO. just becos your parents are sponsoring the wedding doesnt give them authority to dictate what gets done or not. its her wedding. she still have a say. since there is limited space on the invite list, i believe still she should compromise with her parents on the number of people to invite |
no it doesnt. if that was the case, we would have definitely less cases of married men/women cheating on their spouse. |
just find your own place and live your life. i see no reason for such treatment from your father, coming back by 9:15 isnt a coming back by 12am. you are no longer a teen or teenager that should be controlled and monitored and being close to 30, youre old enough to stop living with your parents and find your own place. and which society says a woman cant live on her own? however, i do sort of understand the attending of different church by the same members of a family in the house. so, your father might feel you disrespected his faith by attending different church while still under his control. in-short to end all this he say, she say, find your place or try to discuss issues with your father in a kind manner |
H2O2:like the woman washing her husbands clothes? lol |
@ post i see nothing wrong or big headed in a woman washing her husbands clothes. this kind of things are stuffs that shouldnt be mapped out but done without thinking too much into it. or maybe coz laundry is just one of my favorite chores. |
H2O2:what of situations where the woman and man equally contributes to the financial stability of the family, should the woman still be required to wash her husband's clothes or should everyone wash theirs? |
how you can compare the need for a man to provide for his family with whether its necessary for a woman to wash his husbands clothes? havent you heard of men who washed their own dirty clothes and still provided for the family? |
compromise with the them i'd say. since there is limited space, invite those who mean the most to you and your family not just anyone you call friend" or your parents call "friends". and dont let your parents overshadow your decision, always bear in mind, its your wedding not theirs. its a time for you to take the wheel longest time |
