Update from A female graduate by the name Rebecca Adu Konadu has started her own food selling porridge business after being unemployed for two years after graduation, Siggy reveals. Miriam Adu Asantewaa recently shared in a post on LinkedIn that her sister Rebecca Adu Konadu has started selling porridge after completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Education at Winneba. In the post, Miriam revealed that her sister was unemployed for two years after completing national service. After various job hunts to no avail, Rebecca realized how difficult it is to eat breakfast in her area. With courage and determination, she decided to start selling porridge. According to her sister, the business has been very good. “My sister, for about 2 years after her national service, has been job hunting, but to no avail. She then realized that, at where we stay, breakfast is hard to come by, especially corn porridge, ‘Tom brown’, beverages and the likes. So she decided to venture into that aspect. And voila! Today she has started her business, and I have counted 30 people(and still counting) coming to buy from her Miriam.” Miriam added. Adu Asantewaa stated that the intention behind her post was to add to what the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, said concerning the need for graduates to venture into entrepreneurship rather, for graduates to pay close attention to some of the problems in their community and find solutions to them. https:///female-graduate-becomes-roadside-food-vendor-after-job-searches-failed/

Update from Five students of Konongo Odumase Senior High School (KOSS) in Ghana have been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing a junior colleague to death, Siggy reports. Konongo District Police Command in Ashanti region confirmed their arrest. It was alleged that the deceased was stabbed to death after a fight broke out between him and the other "notorious students". The main suspect whose name was given as Emmanuel Frimpong, is said to be one who used a sharp scissors to stab Larhan Sam’un to death after a heated argument. Speaking to CITI News on the issue, DSP Osei Adu Agyemang, the District Police Commander for Konongo said; “These five suspects who are all in form two ganged up and decided to go and bully the form-one students and assault some of them. The first-year students who felt that the action was uncalled-for resisted and were able to rescue one particular student from the grips of these five suspects. This action infuriated the five suspects, and one of the suspects, Emmanuel Frimpong rushed on one of the first-year students in an attempt to slap him. "Now Larhan Sam’un, who was close by, stopped Osei Frimpong. This action infuriated the main suspect, and then he pulled a small kitchen knife which he had concealed on him and stabbed the Larhan Sam’un at the lower left rib. The deceased started bleeding profusely and was then rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have been able to arrest all the five suspects and also retrieved the blood-stained small kitchen knife“. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_T5q3ZH0Ds https:///ghanaian-police-arrests-5-high-school-students-for-killing-junior-colleague/
