Update from

A young student, fondly called Mallam M whose story of bravery went viral on the internet weeks ago for riding a bicycle to school under the heavy downpour has been gifted a sum of hundred thousand naira.

A kind Samaritan, Ibrahim Sanyi-Sanyi had said he would like to donate to him after watching the video of the poor boy.

In a recent post by Siggy on Saturday, September 18, Ibrahim Sanyi-Sanyi revealed that the said student, called Mallam M, has been found.

He stated that the boy is an SS1 student of Government Arabic Secondary School, Kura and he journeys from his village to school every day.

The good Samaritan, therefore, added that he will be making a donation of N100,000, a school bag, and other school materials to the young boy.

Ibrahim also called on others who are willing to make donations towards the boy’s welfare to do so.

Governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki had earlier last month reportedly revoked the CofO of land belonging to the family of Garrick Memorial College, Benin City.

Speaking on the issue, a close source named Moji Danisa narrated the ordeal to Siggy. He said, "It is all wailing and gnashing of teeth in Edo State as Governor Godwin Obaseki keeps unleashing his terrifying mandate on the people of the state, stopping at nothing to destroy individuals and institutions, which stood in his way during his desperate second attempt to become governor.

Obaseki seems to have no care. Like a dictator, he wields power with an iron hand and operates an authoritarian and tyrannical administration.

His most outstanding record so far is that Obaseki will go down in history as the only democratic governor of the state without a cabinet.

Obaseki, as we speak, is running a 3-man caretaker government, with no commissioners, no Special Advisers, no Local Government chairmen, with a House of Assembly that has most members missing in chamber.

With this ultimate power he has bestowed upon himself, Obaseki now does as he pleases.

A man who seem to have a deeply vengeful spirit, he has gone about destroying properties and revoking lands of his perceived enemies, including his opponent at the gubernatorial election, Pastor, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

After slamming Ize-Iyamu of a land revocation order on his farm worth billions of naira, the most despicable act yet remains the revocation of the Garrick Memorial School land, belonging to the family of Kehinde Garrick, who was one of the directors in the APC gubernatorial campaign of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

It may interest you to know that the Garrick Memorial School was built 60years ago by Pa Garrick and his wife who was still alive and well until Obaseki struck.

Unfortunately, Mama Garrick could not bear the news of the revocation on which she and her husband toiled and worked hard all those years to build a strong institution which had produced well grounded citizens contributing successfully and progressively to the Nigerian society. A place where they sacrificed the whole of their youth days and a legacy they had handed over to their children for generational continuity.

Mama Ayo Garrick slumped and died as her poor heart could not take the news.

How much more can the Edo people take? Forced and inhuman taxation, underdevelopment, lives lost from erosion and flooding, forced vaccination, and many more keep adding to the woes being unleashed on the innocent citizens daily.

When he was elected, Edos felt they were rejecting Oshiomhole but now, the people know better. Edo people blamed themselves for throwing away the baby with the bath water.

It is sad as no one knows what Obaseki really wants", Moji narrated.

Education / 13 Yr Old Student Admits To Willingly Having Sex With 32 Yr Old House Help by Sixsigmahub: 7:46pm On Sep 21, 2021
Update from

A 13-year-old Kenyan student has explained to a court on monday how he has been willingly having sex with their 32-year-old housemaid for eight months.

The teen, who testified on camera before the maid was granted cash bail, claimed that his first sexual experience began in July 2020.

The minor told the court that he had sex with the househelp whose name initials were given as V.N.W. at least three times a week, adding that it usually occurred between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on those specific days.

He said; “She told me it’s our secret that I should not tell anyone, and as a result, I never told my parents except when I was caught watching pornography using my sister’s phone.”

According to him, he usually got aroused after watching pornography and they would sometimes have sex mostly in the kitchen and in the sitting room when everyone was asleep.

Speaking further, the teenage boy disclosed that there were times he would steal his sister’s phone to continue watching pornography after using the househelp’s phone.

Although he confessed that the househelp kept telling him that what they were doing was wrong, he just couldn’t force himself to stop, Siggy learnt.

When asked if he was forced into the act, he said; “No. I felt the urge so I removed my pants to do it without being forced after we did it for the first time.”

V.N.W was first arraigned and charged with defiling a 13-year-old boy for eight months and exposing the adolescent victim to pornographic content in February 2021.

At that time, it was alleged that V.N.W committed the offence in Mwiki area, Kasarani, Nairobi County between July 2020 and February 2021. The househelp was charged with promoting a sexual offence for allegedly showing the minor pornographic content and performing an indecent act with a child.

Documents presented in court revealed that the act was uncovered by chance as the parents disciplined the boy on February 21.

The boy’s sister had complained that she had lost her phone while in the house. After asking for it from her adolescent brother and sister who both denied taking the phone, she sought for her parents’ intervention.

While being flogged, the boy who couldn’t take the pain confessed to using his sister’s phone to watch pornography after allegedly being introduced to the vice by the househelp. He was rushed to a clinic for a medical test before the incident was reported to the police.

Police said the boy revealed that the house help began the abuse by first showing him videos of people engaging in sexual intercourse. This continued until she began abusing the minor herself.

The suspect has denied the charges and was granted ksh300,000 cash bail or ksh500,000 bond. The matter will continue for hearing on September 24, 2021.

The school authorities of Yaba College of Technology(Yabatech), Yaba, Lagos State, has lifted suspension which it put on the activities of its Students’ Union Government since 2015, six years ago.

“To this effect, Electoral Committee chaired by the former Deputy Rector (Administration), Dr. M. A. Adebakin has been constituted to see to the conduct of Students’ Union Election.

“It is hoped that the students would reciprocate this kind gesture from the College Management and conduct themselves in a manner that would ensure peace and order continues to reign in the campus. Thank you,” the statement reads.

Update from

A tweet surfaced online from a Nigerian man identified as TopeSoft making a case for Yahoo against Cultism on university campuses and young ones in general, Siggy reports.

The issue of Cultism and its wrong impact in universities and the society at large had trended yesterday on Twitter, and many people have weighed in on the matter.

Many social media users also recalled their time in school and the experience they had with cultists – long story cut short, it was not a very pleasant experience for them.

However, TopeSoft feels “yahoo” has reduced cultism in University campuses in Nigeria, as one “non-violent” crime replaced a previously violent crime, he said.

He said, “I think Yahoo reduced cultism in the university campuses and even amongst the young people generally. One crime replaced another. But only that this one is non violent. Boys discovered they could be doing jazz to get money instead of using it for some gun control. Lmao”

Career / "The Girl I Dumped Years Ago Became My Boss At Work" by Sixsigmahub: 5:46pm On Sep 18, 2021
A male graduate who recently got a job in a company shares a story of how the boss of his new company turns out to be the girl he dumped ten years ago because she was uneducated.

On this article, he reveals that the boss in the company was the same girl he dumped many years ago when he gained admission into the university because she was not properly educated at the time he gained admission into the university.

He felled guilty and didn’t know how to ask her how she became so rich that she owned a company.

Read his story:

This world is just a small world, i can’t believe myself, it seems like I’m dreaming.

I just discovered that a lady that i broke up with about 10 years ago, because she was not properly educated is the owner of the company I’m currently working as one of the marketers.

We started dating when i was in SS1 and she was in JSS3, but she was dull, sometimes i used to teach her to some extent but unfortunately after that, she will forget all that i taught her.

Though we were normal until when i got admission into the university, after my first year, i began to hang out with other girls in the school, it was this time i started comparing her with them.

Then she doesn’t know how to speak good English although she genuinely loved and never asked for anything from me but since i have met with other girls, who were outspoken and beautiful too, i thought it was the best time to leave her.

During my ND2, i made up my mind to breakup with her and move on since there are many beautiful and educated girls in campus. So one day i picked my phone and called her and told her about the new development, i was like i can’t be dating someone who is not educated enough, while I’m about to become a graduate.

She cried and cried, pleading with me to stay with her that she will definitely improve soon. but i had made up my mind to leave, i stopped calling her, even when she called or texted, i didn’t take her calls or replied her messages.

Boom i started dating a lady called Amaka, i felt like i had finally met my match, because she was educated and beautiful too, but unfortunately before my graduation we broke up over an unresolved misunderstanding.

After my service, i decided to change location in order to start a new life, i started applying for job, luckily after some months, i got a job but the salary was not much because i had lots of responsibilities to take care of.

I worked for the company for 7 years before i decided to quit and look for another job because the former job was not encouraging, i was only managing all these years.

I searched for a job for almost one year, then one Monday morning, i got a call from one of the companies, i submitted my CV and was told to come for interview immediately, i had to rush there, the interview was successful, that’s how i started working but i noticed a strange movement after two months of working in the company.

I was promoted, while other workers who have been there before i was employed never received any. I was transferred to the headquarter, unknowingly to me that it was all planned by the same lady i dumped many years ago.

The next morning when i got to the office, she sent for me and i was like “what’s happening, at first i got promoted, now director wants to see me”. I walked to her office but couldn’t remember her because it has been years and i never expected her to be in such position.

The moment i got to her office, she mentioned my native name which i knew i have never used since i travelled out of my state.

I received the shock of my life when she revealed that she’s the same girl i dumped many years ago when i gained admission into the university. I was short of words because i have worked for the company for three months, definitely i have received salary three times from the same girl, i dumped simply because she’s not properly educated.

I was guilty and didn’t know how to ask her how she became so rich that she owned a company.

I only pleaded with her not to sack me because i had no other job to rely on, but even as that I’m not comfortable with the work because I’m ashamed of myself.

Sometimes it pays to be patience with one another whether educated or not educated. Don’t look down on anyone because no one knows tomorrow.”

Update from

19-yr-old Nigerian medical student, Dr. Emediong has emerged as the youngest artist in the world and first African to ever have her work grace the walls of the Cyprus Modern Art Museum, Siggy reports.

She took to her Instagram page to share the good news with the world. She wrote;

I’m pleased to announce to the general public that my artwork is now a part of the vast collection of the Cyprus Modern Art Museum! This is the largest museum in the Mediterranean region. My work is now in the possession of the owner of my university- Forbes listed Cypriot Businessman, Suat Günsel.

Apparently, I am the youngest and only African Art piece in the entire museum with works dating as far back as 1940. Somebody pinch me! More importantly, this painting is dedicated to none other than the legendary Nigerian musician and political activist himself, Lagbaja. @officiallagbaja . I decided if I’m going to put a timeless piece in the walls of a foreign land, it should be about the ones back home.

Sir, if you’re reading this, know that you’ve inspired a culture. You’ve created both war & peace with your passion and creativity and that is everything I stand for. This is the least I could do to show appreciation.

I’d like to thank God and his Spirit that makes things possible through me- He placed me here. The fact that my art value has gone up more than 10x by reason of this event is still mind blowing. To all the curators and friends who kept this huge announcement on the dl and pumped me with endless support, I love you. Sir Eric ‘Dollar’ Ikpe @official.ericdollar & Sir Umoh @official_umoh – I’m eternally grateful for masterminds like you. [60:3] forever.

GOD IS THE GREATEST.
