That response was a very disrespectful one even if her husband failed to drop money for feeding that day. Perhaps, he didn't have or he forgot. She wasn't meant to tell her mother in-law that, and since the old woman was already hungry she could have used her money or take things on credit to pay when her husband is back then they could both talk about his living the house without dropping money.
you have said it all. well done. i learnt that as soon as she noticed my friend's presence, she hurriedly excused herself. undecided

Owww....
Now I understand. My autocorrect is even crazier than yours.

That's serious then. Any reason her son didn't leave money for feeding? If there's no food in the house, mama may not be fed o

Abeg, let your friend go to his brothers house with foodstuff for the whole household, and give his mum some money to hold if she wants to buy bread and eggs to get for everyone.
It's not a good idea for mama alone to just eat in the house, so that's why I said everyone.
If your friend is just a student, and can't afford to buy food for his brother's family and his mom, he should call his brother and use style to find out if he didn't leave any money for feeding before travellling, or mama can equally call him.
thank you ma'am.

I won't drive further on this. However, my friend was actually emphasizing on the sister in law utterance to his mum.

but I have keyed to your point.

My friend Chuma(not real name) confided in me that his mum who is staying temporarily with his elder brother, asked his elder brother wife yesterday being Saturday, that; "why is nobody eating and the time is already past 12noon?). My friend's elder brother wife response was "we will eat whenever he leaves money for feeding".

Does this means, even if her husband is not around for a week and her mother in-law is around, no one's gonna eat??

House, I need your opinion on this??

Events › Re: How To Plan Your Nigerian Wedding For N20,000 Or Less by sixtus3606(m): 8:34am On Jul 03, 2017
Opinionated:
By Adeniyi Emmanuel Bamgboye

Do you know you can spend just N20,000 on your wedding and still retain your champion as a perfect gentleman and in-law? Don’t worry, I am an accountant, I will give you a succinct breakdown.

Registry fee is within N12,000 – N14000 depending on the local government you wish to use. Let’s pick the upper range which is N14,000

Don’t go and buy egg roll. One is now N80. You know you cannot afford this; the best is to go for Ghanaian buns. One is N20 , you can buy it loju (at) dozen for discount sake. Buy 2 dozen because of the impromptu and accidental guests. That’s approximately N450. It could be lesser, if you can bargain well.

Buy a crate of 7up, not coke or Fanta. That’s N1,400
Budget N1,500 for cab transport. Uber is cheap. It’s your wedding day. You can’t afford to be a “trekkist” on that glorious day.

You don’t need a photographer. Use the camera on your phone. If you don’t have a camera phone, you can use your friend’s own.

To achieve all these, you have to make your wedding an alupaida (mystical) event. The one where your blurry wedding pictures will just surface magically online without you giving any of your friends prior notice. Some of them may be angry with you. Beg them well. They will understand.

Don’t bother about new clothes; wear what you have at home.

For your refreshment to be sufficient, make sure your guest list includes both parents (yours and hers), two of your friends who will also sign and act as witnesses and cameramen respectively.

In total, you have 10 guests including you and your wife. With this, the Ghanaian buns and 7up are likely to go round. You would even have more than sufficient for the court staff who are fond of doing “Atenu”

Back to my analysis. N14,000 + N450 + N1,400 + N1,500 equals N17,350.

With this, you will have N2, 650 as change. Use it to cook honeymoon Soup. Enjoy your life to the fullest with your wife.

Implement this religiously and thank me later.

Crime › Ritualists Target Bald Men, Believe Their Heads Harbour Gold by sixtus3606(op): 8:02am On Jun 08, 2017
Bald men could be targets of ritual attacks, police have warned, after the recent killing of five men for their body parts.
“The belief is that the head of a bald man contains gold,” said a police commander in Mozambique’s central Zambezia province, Afonso Dias.
Albino people have also been killed in the region for ritual purposes.Three men have been killed in the past week alone.

The BBC reporter in the capital, Maputo, says police think the notion of a bald head containing gold is a ruse by witch doctors to get clients to take a person’s head to them. “Their motive comes from superstition and culture, as the local community thinks bald individuals are rich,” Commander Dias is reported as having told a press conference in Maputo. The suspects are two young Mozambicans aged around 20, the AFP news agency reports. A regional security spokesman, Miguel Caetano, told AFP that one of the victims had his head cut off and his organs removed. The organs were to be used in rituals to advance the wealth of clients in Tanzania and Malawi, Mr. Caetano said, citing the suspects.

There has been a spate of killings of people with albinism in East Africa in recent years, with their body parts used to make charms and potions by witch doctors. The BBC reports that suspects have been arrested in the central district of Milange, in Mozambique, where some killings had occurred.

Health › Re: 6 Provoking Ways You Are Endangering Your Health by sixtus3606(m): 8:05am On Jun 06, 2017
PalmchatApp:
Health they say is wealth. Unfortunately, so many people treat their health status as unimportant. There are some day-day mistakes/acts you engage in that could actually be detrimental to your health. Treating your health as a basic necessity makes you totally fit.
Below are some provoking ways you could endanger your health.
1.Poor Eating Habit
This is one aspect people tend to ignore. When you eat right, your health feels right. Fruits, vegetables are important part of healthy living. You don't necessarily have to eat heavy meals or even complete the three square meal, but it is necessary to have a complete balanced diet. When poor eating habit lingers on for long, it affects your mental and physical being. Excess fat is not right for the body. Try to eat less, avoid oversize portions, and replace sugary drinks with water. So many people are unnecessarily overweight.

2. Little or no exercise
The importance of exercise can never be overlooked. so many people are guilty of it, especially those in office environments. It does not take much of your time when you stretch your hands and legs. Sitting on the same spot for long hours could later lead to stroke, fat accumulation and so on. Even if you don't have an office job, take out time to walk round the house, register at a gym center just to keep fit.

3. Excessive thinking
It is not a big deal when you think and have time alone,it becomes an issue when you do it often. Excessive thinking could lead to depression if not checked. “Those likely to internalize stress are in greater danger; research has shown a benefit to laughter and social support,” Dr. Reynolds says. It is good to be in control of your thoughts, before they have a troll on you.

4. Reckless Lifestyle
This is also way people, especially youths endanger themselves. Excess alcohol is linked to a greater risk of high blood pressure, high levels of blood fats, and heart failure. In addition, the extra calories can lead to weight gain, a threat to heart health. Smoking, extra loud music, keeping a sad face constantly is unhealthy and also a way of endangering your health.

5. Isolation from the world
So many people like to act like sadist. They shut down the world an create like a barrier between themselves and those around them. The importance of always having someone to talk to is deep. People with stronger connections to family, friends, and society in general tend to live longer, healthier lives. They hardly have many things to worry about, everything just feels perfect. Everyone needs alone time, but you should still reach out to others and keep in touch whenever you can.

6. Stiffness
Truth is, we have our days when everything feels not so right, when worries takes a great part of our lives, but we shouldn't let this completely affect us. Some people take life so seriously and hardly find time to relax and chill. It doesn't hurt to go see movies, visit friends or amusement parks. Enjoy life and take it one step at a time.
Thank you for this piece.

This is so me! undecided

AutoReportNG:
That moment when you thought you have seen the weirdest in innovation and technology that's when the journey begins. We have seen autonomous cars, drones, aircrafts, and now an autonomous suitcase. I remembered showing this clip to my friend and what he said was "Radarada, they should come and try this in Naija, they will steal the bag, the owner, and the operatee". A California-based company named Travelmate Robotics which aim to ease of travelers, shoutout to all those busty ladies at the airport, God has answered your prayers, with this suitcase, traveling just got get better using the autonomous robotic technology.

According to the company..

Travelmate moves by itself both horizontally and vertically, following three to five feet behind you by tracking your smartphone location. It matches your speed accurately, going as fast as 6.75 mph.

The company says Travelmate works seamlessly in crowds and doesn’t require any extra peripherals. As an “autonomous” suitcase and robot companion, Travelmate can sense obstacles ahead and take action to avoid them. The prototype suitcase uses an infrared sensor to detect potential obstacles, but the final product scheduled to ship in June of this year is expected to use a different sensor, perhaps a camera or radar.

The suitcase is always nearby and you can turn on an alarm, just like with your car keys, if it ever gets too far away from you.

In addition, the suitcase’s battery can be used to charge your electronic devices through a USB port and a standard electrical outlet.

The carry-on suitcase complies with IATA, ICAO and FAA regulations, according to the company.
