Bros, if you're in Lagos, please consider these: 1. Standard Canteen (Budget 1.5m) 2. Unisex saloon (Budget 3m) 3. Carwash (Budget 2m max) 4. Food stuff (Budget 2m for a start) 5. Phone Accessories with POS (Budget 2m) Invest in any 3 from above. Nurture the biz for 3years max. I am very sure you'd make massive ROI. BONUS: With 500k, you can setup 6 Akara and puff puff joint and make over a million Naira in 6months. I have witnessed this. Na all the aforementioned dey bring money pass. No dull am. After sometime, you can advance and go into production, importation and any other Busienss you feel comfortable investing in. But you see that above ehhnnn...e sure die! Boogiebee: Hello Nairalanders,
So straight to the point. Please I need your advice about two things.
1. I just got my inheritance and I got cash of 8M and there's this popular belief of people squandering their inheritance,I don't want that to be my portion so which business can I invest it into. For context, I currently have a job and I'm not ready to quit so please put that into consideration.
2. My younger brother is still a student so he has asked me to save his portion of 6M in bank until he graduates but I don't think that's a good idea. I would rather he put it in some form of secure investment that will be yielding something. Kindly give us suggestions.
May the soul of my beloved Father continue to rest in peace. Amen |

It actually does have all documents intact. But how dare you drill holes in such cars? Even if I am the owner, I won't try such. You stop me and request for particulars, I'll provide them. Simple. For such a person like Davido, he moves with a convoy and a good amount of security detail. For his calibre and the level of security of the country, such a step is required. This one na setup (Planned between the stranger and the rogues in uniform) MyVILLAGEpeople:

This is one of the reasons why people find it difficult to help atimes. Just look at these animals killing a fellow who helped them in trying times. That’s how I read one time that a fellow picked up a stranded man along Lagos Ibadan express way( maybe it’s Benin Ore road, but can’t remember now). Only for the man to drop bullets in the car when he wanted to alight from the car( the guy who helped him didn’t know he dropped bullets before alighting). After that, the man got to the next check point and the police searched his car and he got arrested for a crime he knew nothing about. I think he later got released after spending big money. |

I had my first son at the age of 25 when I was earning just 30k. I was living in a room apartment. I didn't give up. I didn't follow anybody's advice. I simply stuck to my very own advice.
Fast forward to today, I earn close to half a million and this was possible thorigh hard/smart work, and ofcourse professional certification courses. I got my first car at the age of 32 and I now live in a flat.
What works for me may not not for another man. And what works for another man may not work for me.
Kolawole2130 , I advise you have a heart-to-heart discussion with your partner. If at the end, he doesn't want to see reasons with you then if his decision is something you can go with, then go with it.
In this life, we one way or the other agree to disagree.

On my part, at 50, my children will probably be planning on having their own partner (tbis means I'll be on the verge of becoming a grand dad).
Biko talk to him. Look out for opportunities. You can also create opportunities for yourselves. No be until una do 9 to 5.
Both of you should think out of the box.
Good luck! Kolawole2130, On deeper thought; you said this husband of yours categorically stated that if you cant wait for 2years (after he's done with his certification course), you can go ahead and divorce him. THIS A RED FLAG Secondly, I have never come across (Read or heard) of any certification course that runs for a period of two years. ANOTHER RED FLAG Take a deep thought on the red flags. Do your findings. The ball is in your court. Good luck |

You should have added the following: 1. Graphic Designer 2. Web Designer/Developer 3. Cinematographer With these skills, whether you go to school or not, you can become a millionaire overnight. I AM A TESTIMONY ReventifyCV: List of Top Paying jobs Without a Degree in Nigeria
1. Software engineering 2. Digital marketer 3. Data scientist 4. Brand influencer 5. Actor 6. Sales Rep 7. Real Estate Agent 8. Personal Trainer “Formal education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune.” – Jim Rohn
Developing the required skill set for such jobsFirst, determine your current skills. Spend time answering the following questions:
What do you enjoy? For example, interacting with people, solving problems, writing, etc. Are you complimented for any specific ability? For example, ability to solve problems, resolving conflicts, etc. Do you have any past accomplishments? It could be anything big or small. For example, you completed a community project, volunteering, or won an award. What skills helped you deliver results? Next, you must expand your skillset to take advantage of the opportunities. Here are several ways you can develop the required skills for top-paying jobs without a degree:
Set goals for yourself Learn from online resources Practice your skills Freelance (if possible) – Register on online portals to get freelance jobs. Some popular freelancing portals are Freelancer.com, Upwork.com, and Fiverr.com. Find a mentor Review related job descriptions Join a professional association in your field Work hard
When you come across a job that seems like an ideal fit for, don’t put it aside if the “education qualification” section says “degree desired.” Some hiring managers fill this section because it is the “norm.”
Times have changed. People without a university degree are entering high-paying jobs like web developers, graphic designing, hair stylists, personal trainers, etc. Of course, there are professions like doctors and engineers which ask for a formal qualification. But, several best-paying jobs are willing to hire those with no university degree.

11 Explanation 5 sons + 3 sisters (3 sisters are same sisters to all the 5 sons) + 1x3(3 sisters have one baby each) = 5 + 3 + 3 = 11 Adding couple (father and mother) makes it a total = 13 But in actual sense, na only two people (the couple) go picnic. Bros, please I'd love to have a private chat with you. yungchop: Bros.. Apply for MSc in USA, admission takes 2 weeks max. Get a sponsor. Go for visa interview, pass and boom! You in America. If you never get money for school fees, defer admission or just forget about going to school once you're in if you don't mind doing menial jobs. America is too big for someone to be looking for who is illegal or not as long as you don't get into trouble. If you need further guidance let me know.
MODIFIED
I got a whole lot of mentions from people who don't even have a passport. 1. There are universities which gives out admission without you paying for school fees upfront. 2. I still stand on my words that if you provide the right documents, admission takes 2 weeks or 3 max. 3. I just applied to a university two weeks ago and i have submitted all documents, should have gotten feedbacks but last week was thanksgiving holiday so hopefully if i get a response on Monday I'll post it here. Funny enough a friend applied with HND and got the admission. 4. I have not forced anybody to apply, i only said what i am very sure of. 5. Apart from the OP i didn't ask anybody to contact me for any service. 6. I wont entertain any questions, do your researches by yourselves. I am supposed to drop names of about 3 schools you can apply to and they'll waive things like application fee, GRE, IELTS if you message your course coordinators to tell them this is so so so requirements you dont have and give them reasons why they should waive them for you, but since some of you are just bent on bringing others down and saying things you dont know, i wont drop any name, do your researches too, afterall it took me months of intensive research to get the information i have. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What I Did Yesterday After I Lost My Last N200 During Interview by sixtus3606(m): 10:50pm On Nov 19, 2021 |
This guy will make it in life. Just watch out for his testimony here on nairaland in 2 to 3 years time. PlanToSucceed: Like a motivational speaker would say, "the issue is not the problem you are facing but the solution you can think of".
Yesterday was a tough day for me but as a full blooded naija man exposed to hard life from childhood, I immediately found a solution for the problem.
Let me make it brief.
While I'm working hard so to get a job and beat poverty, I'm also praying fervently for God's mercy in my life because a single fame from Him can bury all the years of shame.
I'm seriously in need of a job and so I applied for a vacancy I was in the know. I was called for interview yesterday. The transport fare wasn't even enough but I managed to gather what could take me to and fro. Dressed in corporate, I went. All I had with me was N800 including my feeding. So I spent N400 for food, paid tfare N200 to get to the venue and N200 left for my fro. How the remaining N200 lost in my pocket, I can't tell till now. Can't even tell if a fellow applicant pilfered me.
After the interview, that was when I realized I was without a penny. I searched everything to find the missing N200 but to no avail. I almost cried because of how important the money was (pray against every spirit of poverty). Having not seen,
I approached the first two guys for help but they shunned me. Naturally I don't like begging. I prefer to die in silence than begging openly cos I feel very bad if turned down. After the first two guys snubbed me, as a true Nigerian and full blooded 'kpako', and sportive in appearance, something struck me. Immediately, I folded my trouser upward and to add comic to it, I left the tie still on my neck and in no time, I was on the road jogging and heading back home at around 2-3 pm with my file in my hands.
People were looking and in surprise over the unusual jogging dress. That was how I jogged on major roads and short cuts till I reached house. I can't really quantify the total distance but it is something over 10km. As I reached house, I freshened up immediately even though nothing to eat, I found Garri and sipped. Life goes on!
My prayer: may I make it in this life, Amen.
People, in all you do, work hard and pray against poverty. It is not something to wish even your worst enemy.
Meanwhile, the interview ended on 'we'll get back to you". I'm still waiting for them.
Thank you for reading. |
