WHEN Ibukun Jegede moved from Nigeria to Sherwood two years ago he had no idea of the opportunities ahead of him. But it has not taken him long to rise to stardom. This month he was crowned Best Male Model of the Year in the National Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television and Art Awards. Last year he won Britain's Top Model of Colour headed by his modelling agency Mahogany Models. Ibukun, who studies information and communication technology at Nottingham Trent University, said: "When I came to the UK I didn't really believe I could be a model, I just came to the UK to do my degree. "My parents are very proud of me, I remember when I started modelling, I told my mum I wanted to be a model and she just laughed at me but she knew I had a passion for modelling." |
Tosin Akeredolu Based in both London and Cape Town, model Tosin Akeredolu has been on our radar for a while. With a gazelle like figure, it’s no surprise that her modelling c.v includes stints at Vivienne Westwood and Agent Provocateur. Frustrated by the under-representation of Black and ethnic models in the UK, the 6ft beauty bravely relocated to Cape Town where she’s been inundated with work. Currently with Oxygen models and a lover of British fashion designers, including Avsh Alom Gur, William Tempest and Matthew Williamson, Akeredolu hasn’t given up on carving out a career on our shores, “I love London, it’s my home, but for now I intend to focus on my career in South Africa and return to Europe for fashion week” she says. We say, “Watch this space!”

Daniel Oluwafemi is a name you might want to remember. This young Nigerian born model has the potential to head straight to the top. I spotted Daniel gracing the runways of fantastic designers during Fashion Week in New York and I felt compelled to scoop an interview. I mean How can I not. This man has the body of a God and after I envisioned how many ladies would thank me for featuring this eye candy on Amebor it just had to be done. Frankly when I approached this 22 year old to introduce myself I expected him to be arrogant and dismissive especially because he was surrounded by a bevy of supermodels backstage. However; to my surprise he was meek and mild which put me at ease therefore I didn’t feel awkward requesting him of his time. Due to our busy schedules we were unable to meet personally but eventually we were able to speak. This is how it went.

https://www.catwalk-uk.com/news/Helen%20Lowal.jpg Helen Lawal has claimed her second prestigious beauty title in a matter of months by being crowned Miss York 2009, and the year ahead will see her become a flagbearer for the city. The 23-year-old reigning Miss Black Britain is Nigerian-born, but now lives in Pickering and is studying to become a doctor at the University of York-based Hull York Medical School. But she left her textbooks behind for a night in favour of glamorous ball-gowns as she received the Miss York sash from the outgoing holder of the title, 20-year-old law student Helen Jackson. https://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00353/idowu_353250a.jpg Phillips Olaosebikan Idowu (born 30 December 1978 in the London Borough of Hackney) is a British triple jumper of ethnic Nigerian heritage. He is the current World Champion and World Indoor champion, representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as reigning Commonwealth Games champion representing England. He also won the silver medal representing Team GB at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He is a member of the London-based Belgrave Harriers athletics club and has been for much of his career. Despite his successes he has at times been accused of inconsistency and of failing to fulfil his potential. His gold medal at the 2009 World Athletics Championships has gone some way towards addressing these criticisms. soludo soludo soludo I suspect maybe he chose pdp for anambra because he might have done some illegal stuvs during his tenure as cbn gov. That being said, i also heard they want to expel him. He should have known better, PDP is KNOWN for taking peoples money and dumping them in the end run. |
ahah ive been shaggin igbo babes since before i dont hate igbos AT ALL. Buts its ridiculous to open threads or generate an opinion of who spoils Nigerians abroads names when most who do fraud are yoruba and most who deal drugs are igbo. any sensible yoruba person wouldnt open a thread labeling igbos as the ones who are criminals abroad, cause he/she would know yoruba criminals do 419 any sensible igbo person wouldn't open a thread labeling yorubas as the criminals abroad, because he/she would know most criminals who deal drugs are igbo. so e no matta |
i think yo head has gone bad because someone in the previous thread said she is light and i said anyone who thinks shes light is MAD so go to sleep |
lol lmfao i cant stop laughing all i did was google in Nigerian drug dealers sjeezy8:lol all of them are non yorubas i cant shoutttttt lmfao- you people better get sense and stop the tribal ish of criminals |
and to be honest yorubas do fraud NO DOUBT but all you have to do is google in Nigerian drug dealer- most if not all are non yorubas but yorubas no get time to open stupid threads hating on another tribe, you guys are either jealous, envious or just bored and angry |
omo tola isnt light skin who ever said so is MAD but omotola is 2222222 sexy and fine |
^^^^ you dey mad who has time to hate on yorubas abi? following threads within the last 24-48 hours Unbelievable! Sizable (70%) Yoruba population support Thief Bode George. This Is Why You Get Frisked To The Balls At Every Airport Thanks To The Yorubas! Typical Yoruba Woman Nigerians Again: NYC Temp Accused Of Stealing Identities all started by or littered with anti yoruba BS by igbos so please you people get TIME PLENTY OF IT ODE |
Las giddi Fashola is superb |
To be honest i never really seen where become has said anything that would really offend the igboman. Most if not all of his threads are about asking for the yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa state to join republic of benin. I mean the igbo hate yorubas(gathering from the multiple threads started by an igbo man against yoruba) so its not too much to ask for the yorubas to leave, making the igbos situation in Nigeria better(since the igbos feel yorubas are the problem). Become doesnt seem like tribalist, the dude just wants to leave Nigeria for the igbos and fulanis- hausas. I might not agree with everything he says but he has a point if yorubas leave Nigeria, it would make the igbos have a higher chance of becoming vice president or president. alie? no |
Lol i cant stop laughing Im actually very flattered by their obsession with the yorubaman(opening multiple threads) . These odes were like yorubas are criminals and then the next minute they're commending Wole Soyinka, Admiring Gani, listening to Fela, wishing their govenor was Fashola or similar, and STILL running to Lagos in droves. lol dem no get sense at all |
lol your love for yorubas is too much |
this one looks like sammy davis junior i said can we please get one who looks yoruba this is what sammy davis jr look like https://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTM1NjI4Nzg0MV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwMDE0NDQ2._V1._SX301_SY400_.jpg i want to see something like https://www.hopefornigeria.com/_/rsrc/1234630757945/Home/about-the-yoruba-people/Yoruba%20drummers.jpg |
