Yorubas are on their own

Oduduwa gave birth to Bini, Yoruba, itsekiri, and even some igbos as philip emeagwali claims
sjeezy8:
PHILIP EMEAGWALI

I am a Yoruba by birth (born in Akure, western region) and Igbo by heritage. As a native Onitsha Igbo, I trace my ancestry to Eze Chima, a prince who rebelled against the Benin royal dynasty and emigrated from the kingdom. Other Igbos that trace their lineage to Eze Chima include Onicha-Ukwu, Onicha-Olona, Onicha-Ugbo, Obior, Issele-Ukwu, Issele-Mkpima, Issele-Azagba, Ezi, Abeh and Obamkpa.

Native Onitshans speak a dialect of the Igbo language with several Benin/Yoruba words such as "Obi" (of Onitsha) and "Oba" (of Benin). In fact, the word Onitsha (Onicha) is a corruption of the god "Orisha." The bini name for River Niger is Ohinmwin. The Onicha Igbo call it "Orinmili." In a few years, we will have DNA tests that proves (or disproves) the Onitsha-Benin-Yoruba connection.

In fact, a lost dialect of the Yoruba language, called Olukwumu, is spoken in Brazil and in a few Igbo communities named Anioma, Idumu-Ogu, Ubulubu, Ugboba, Ugbodu, and Ukwunzu (M. A. Onwuejeogwu, 1987 Ahiajoku Lecture). The absence Olukwumu in core Yoruba land proves that these communities are the Lost Yoruba Tribe that were fleeing from slave raiders.
Oduduwa isnt yoruba and hes foreign to the region of Nigeria

I mean to be honest AC has what the country needs to progress. They have taken up that US mentality of business and governance. There is more money and long term results to be made with PPP then it is with looting oil money.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by sjeezy8: 6:25pm On Nov 01, 2009
Number 1- it is the country of Nigeria that gives Nigeria the bad reputation, 80% of the time people associate corruption, scams with Nigerians back home. - and thats just the truth. Nigerian 419 people in America are looked at as petty criminals, thats why Nigerians STILL get jobs on wall street, credit companies, and in  major banks(where credit  cards are). The thieves in the UK and America arent even major or considered that smart enough to do anything major.

Number 2- Nigerians in naija are 70% entrepreneurs who dont pay their DAMN taxes. Every time I hear people complaining about paying taxes, it makes me sick. Its like a whole bunch of illiterate fools not knowing TAXES and high ones at that, are needed for electricity, clean water, Education, public things. Some people automatically think paying tax is  Govt 419, so they dont pay, if everyone thinks like this then there is no reason to complain (you make your bed you lie in.) But i dont blame them, one has to travel outside Nigeria to a developed country to actually know the IMPORTANCE OF TAX if not looted.

Number 3- Nigerians in Nigeria are complaining about lack of JOBS by the Govt. The only blame the govt has its no privatization in enough industries and electricity. The Govt IS NOT SUPPOSE TO SUPPLY JOBS FOR PRIVATE SECTOR.

Abagworo:
really?sjeezy8 why would becomerich add some igbo, bini, urhobo, ijaw, itsekiri, isoko, engenni, esan, etsako etc. territories to his map.if he wants to join benin republic, why not leave the oil areas.he should just add ogun, osun, ekiti, oyo and ondo(minus illaje and ijaw).

his other option is to seek for support from all these other people and not add them to a map without consultation.

im wan collect 30% of nigeria oil.na im papa land wey de oil dey?greedy man.
He added people who are descendants of oduduwa cause its not only about yorubas, itsekeri, bini related urhobo, esan, as well. The rest of the are also related groups except for ijaws and igbo. Which i dont agree he should had but delta states and bayelsa still have oduduwa related ethnic groups and most likely if given the choice  they wouldnt stay in a country with the north majority and igbos second. (cause the north wont let Rivers state, awka ibom go)

so he makes valid point - ondo is a yoruba state and ALL its properties included. but if the rest wont follow benin republic or oduduwa republic, they can just stay in Nigeria with the north, wetin concern oduduwa related tribes?
