^^ stop twisting my words.
you're trying to pretend yorubas werent represented because yoruba muslims shun the competition for religious reasons. That's a big fat lie and you know it.

stop trying to derail the thread.
fulanis wey you dey shout everywhere- let them be! I'd like to see you getting a pure fulani to date should you live in nigeria. undecided

while you're at it, list the number of yorubas representing other states.
I agree people should represent thier state of origin

excuse me- I can get any babe in naija fulani muslims chistrian yoruba hausa igbo ijaw calabr aiight miss. Pulling babes is nothing to a guy like me small tings. give some secs to rap to a fulani babe she'll be wearing her hijab around her waiste and her panties on her head. walahi

there are about 3-4 yoruba babes in there, look I dont feel like arguing The pretty muslim yoruba babes I kno dont think about shiot like this or even nollywood(aside from rukyatu and aminatu) stuff.
CelebritiesRe: Mbgn 2010 Is Fiona Aforma Amuzie! by sjeezy8: 3:20am On May 30, 2010
^^^ How can you compare aminatu in yankee to muslim babe in naija- not saying all muslim babes dont compete but ALOT do NOT. and you are taking it to personal ms. because there was yoruba babes who represented non yoruba states

________________________________________________________________
None of these babes are squat- the igbo ones yoruba ones and the edos who competed- The babe who won isnt shiot either- as in I highly doubt any of these chicks can win miss world- even the winner of Miss Nigeria.

This competition isnt a good representation of beauty around Nigeria period- and no one can really get mad cause igbo babes represented some non igbo states, as well as all the yoruba babes represented all non yoruba states, also all the edos presented other states.

So i guess you cant really complain of tribalism just complain about a shittyy MGBN. AND ALL MY BEAUTIFUL MUSLIM FUTURE ALHAJA/HAJIAS DID NOT COMPETE(50% of Nigerian women)  cry and I stand by that-

abi ori e yi ni? huh

are you daft or you have a problem with english language. Let me repeat myself, dumbo.

Miss Oyo- Kalu Joy Onyekalu
Miss Ogun- Ogbebor Amen Sandra
Miss Anambra- Iloh Precious Chimaka
Miss Akwa Ibom- Nene Alegimenien
Miss Abia- Awala Delphin Alero
Miss Delta- Osika Onome
Miss Kwara- Chukwueke Chineye Ruth
Miss Ondo- Okoronkwo Ivuoma
Miss Osun- Onyechi Chialuka Anita
Miss Ekiti- Obiora Charity Chinenye
Miss cross River- Isabella Ayuk
Miss Imo- Ymunakwe Odera
Miss Adamawa- Agukwe Chioma Pamela

do you still think you have a senseless point? Even assuming ogun, kwara, ekiti and osun are now igbo, what happened to the indigenes of those states? Was the competition held overseas where people can claim they couldnt find any? Abi una wan pretend the entire southwest is too ugly to show face?

if na oil dey cause jagbajantis for naija, the southwest also has oil, so shut up
ms tpia I said that half of yorubas are msulim and wouldnt compete anyway- you said oda rubbish.

It was about 3-4 yoruba girls who competed(in other states beside their own) ONLY 1 was muslim. So I mean I guess it really does represent those who came out.
CelebritiesRe: Mbgn 2010 Is Fiona Aforma Amuzie! by sjeezy8: 2:25am On May 30, 2010
well from what I saw there wasnt really any HOT girls in this- im talking aside from tribe the girls who competed igbo edo yoruba etc- just werent that hot! they were pretty fine but NOT beauty pageant fine and Like I said Only ONE muslims girl competed- and the country is 50% muslim.

it can't be that way forever though.
Only time can tell - thats why I said for now .  I personally have no problem where the Governor comes from but I know alot of christians( from every tribe) who will be like hell NO - to an hausa as governor of their own state under the impression he/she might implement Sharia into government or marginalization of their ethnic group.

and I also know alot of muslims(from different tribes) who would be opposed to an ijaw, igbo or urhobo christian because they will probably see everything he/she does as against islam or marginalization of their ethnic group.

So I dont know why people think Lagos' case is any different, no country is perfect and every country has laws made specifically to address the problems of that country. In Nigeria you cant implement the same exact Laws as the United states.

Eddeux:
I'm not a Nigerian, so my say may not matter that much, but I lmao at simple comments like 'we can just break up.' Regardless of Nigeria, do you have any clue of how most breakups in other countries have occurred? All I gotta say is that it wasn't peaceful. lmao. Say in the worse case scenario, that Nigeria broke up, how would it happen? Would it be peaceful with Nigeria breaking up into two countries, 5, 10? I mean once the breakup starts there is no stopping other ethnic groups from calling for independence too.
Nigeria can break up and people die with years of war between ethnicities.

Doesnt really matter to me cause Where im from in Nigeria there are no other ethnicities, to war with- So If Nigeria breaks up my own country might have minor BS conflicts between themselves(which happens in every country) but the splitting of more countries No. Cant say the same for the rest of Nigeria.

and I actually laughed at your comparison to India and Indonesia- WHERE THERE HAS BEEN RECENT BOMBINGS BY MINORITY RELIGIOUS GROUPS AND ETHNIC MINORITIES WHO CLAIM TO BE MARGINALIZED.

Its obvious you dont know wtf youre talkin about- If Nigeria is the Giant of Africa or the midget I dont care.
PoliticsRe: Father's Land Vs Birth Land by sjeezy8: 9:22pm On May 29, 2010
No big deal if Lagos ISLAND- becomes a state apart from the rest of Lagos, that state can have a governor from anywhere.

I mean its not life or death- things are the way it is in Nigeria to keep peace- If no one likes it

we can just break up. and every New country or state has its own Laws

If you dont like it you can always leave Lagos. . .

Even the decendants of settlers from Brazil, Cuba, Ghana and beninoise in Lagos and who are now yorubas have been in Lagos for 200 years havent smelled the governors seat. lol Even Ijebu people, ijesa, are not even thinking about being Governor of LAGOS STATE and there all yorubas. you people are talking about ijaw igbo hausa and fulani.

you people better wake up Lagos Island was the capital of Nigeria not th rest of Lagos state(which was under the western governemnt), theyre are indigenous people in Badagry, Ikorodu, Agege, Lekki, Isale and such.

not even ABOUT A YORUBA PERSON- EVEN AN ILE IFE MAN, IF HE THINKS HE CAN BECOME GOVERNOR OF LAGOS STATE HE IS FUKIN CRAZY. He should go back to his home TOWN in Osun.

^^^^

so do you mean the Yoruba Muslims are as violent and uncivilized as their counterpart in the north and have been hiding under the disguise of being peaceful just because a Yoruba is governing them? huh

but why do yorubas also keep money in igbo banks? why haven't they boycotted igbo banks in Lagos since it's not owned or governed by yorubas? huh

abeg no questions oo, no insult me please oo. tongue
I dont kno why you people are making a big deal. and its not yoruba vs igbo( as fulani, ijaw, calabar all the same to a yoruba) its more of people around Nigeria still cant govern a multi religous society like a yoruba.

and there no such thing as igbo bank and yoruba banks, people are there to make money. Thats like sayin a caucasian bank- that doesnt even make sense

ethnic minorities in America dont hold positions in Government- do you see black chinese mexicans not using banks with white employees?

If a non yoruba can keep peace in Lagos state without secretarian violence- great but I HIGHLY doubt it.

Can an hausa become Governor of RIVER STATE or any southern state? If not then there no sense in arguing.

Like I said before Nigeria can always break up- doesnt matter to me and probably alot of yorubas. Everyone wants to be governor but doesnt know what it takes.
PoliticsRe: Father's Land Vs Birth Land by sjeezy8: 12:51am On May 29, 2010
anyway ms poster . .

a non yoruba cannot be gov of Lagos state right now because Hausas- fulanis are too radical with Islam they offend christians and Christian, igbo, ijaws or urohobo may offend the muslims esp in our religous society.

And you foolish if you think that Yorubas will be doing the investing. All your people do is spend money on big fancy parties. It is the Igbo who invest in other people's land unfortunately.

It will be still be the sweet crude light from the Niger Delta that will go to Lagos. Do not be a fool.
Im not going to go back and forth about tribal stuff- cause I dont care im talking about Lagos state.

lol Nigeria can break up anytime,  we wont die. If igbos stay in Lagos ok and if not still ok lol, like really we dont care. Its  win-win situation.

Lagos was Lagos before igbos and will be afterwards. . . ko matta

^^^^^^^

Where are you getting the revenue for this?

It will still be based on OIL! undecided
lol are you dumb like really all this revenue will be from different investments. and guess what theres an estimated 40billion barrels of crude between Lagos, Ondo, and Ogun. No be big deal. Oil is even nothing to us.

EzeUche:
We Igbos built up Lagos! You all cannot claim it as long as Eastern oil was used to pay for that crappy city of yours.
Oil money was used to pay for Lagos Island the former capital of Nigeria not LAGOS STATE. Lagos island is even becoming OLD NEWS- so that place will be dead in a decade or two after eko atlantic grin, Badagry and Lekki are developed.

I don't believe you. Either you are Muslim or SeFAGo is one.

Anyway, it is your backward thinking why the nation cannot progress. It should not matter what ethnicity you fool.
is that so ? tell that to everyone in the world you goat. let yorubas do their own thing we are in our own region, you do yours how you want, we'll do ours how we like.
PoliticsRe: Father's Land Vs Birth Land by sjeezy8: 12:00am On May 29, 2010

what are yout talking about you GOAT - when has there ever been a black muslim president in America or Uk PM? so ethnicity and religion matters everywhere in the world.

Nigeria can break up- I dont care.

EzeUche:
But this is what I would expect from a Muslim who is not as enlighten as us Christians. Even you pseudo-Muslims among the Yoruba are keeping your race backwards.
@ poster the above is the reason why a non yoruba cannot be gov of Lagos state.
PoliticsRe: Father's Land Vs Birth Land by sjeezy8: 11:50pm On May 28, 2010
I wonder why non yorubas think Lagos is an easy state to govern. like really?

Lagos state is peaceful because a yoruba is the Gov.
I doubt other ethncities, can understand its complex religous and ethnic make up.

So they should leave it like that for now- maybe in the future 60-89 years from now it may change but till then yoruba governor from a muslim and christian family.
