Christianity EtcThe Religious War: How To Address The Issue by skydancer(op): 9:56pm On Sep 16, 2009
Reading more recently on matters of religion, I have discovered that enlightenment never ends. We have to understand the meaning, history, and purpose of religion before we can live our lives as we are supposed to do.

Karl Max, for instance defines religion as 'the opium of the people'.

To look at this in another way. I did say religion is a practice constructed by men in an attempt to establish moral conduct and to explain after-life. This is why religion is closely tied with tradition.

It is here that I want to address the issue of Christianity and their mistakes. When Christ came to earth, he did not ignore or disregard the Jewish tradition. He simply thought us a way of life. Now during the spread of Christianity, e.g. the catholic church. Foreign missionaries criticized our traditions as being evil. For instance, some who bless kolas nowadays, bless it in the name of Christ, rather than the traditional way. In Nsukka, Catholics are not allowed to sweep their village arenas because of the claim that evil spirits live there and so many other acts adopted on mere will of the leaders. We have to learn to think critically and not remain enslaved to what we have been thought. As for me, I firmly believe that a good and holy man such as Jesus Christ was saying the truth when He said that He was the Son of God. I do not know of any other religious symbol who has claimed such fact and I believe it's true. The only reason why someone should not be a christian is therefore is the person does not believe in the claims of Christ, which by the way does not concern me. But there's no use adopting a tradition like paying of tithe and other tradition tied doctrine imported in a christian church. I also urge those who are ignoring their motherland to stop doing so since Christ Himself did not do so.

Remain blessed

@KunleOshob: yeah.

@Horus:Are you suggesting that they freely mingle with men. There are better pictures than that, and that one may mean a different thing altogether

Mazaje rampage, quite funny. I think the best way to address someone's issue is not to create a thread about them and write all sorts of nonsense about them. Arguments will continue in religion as long as we fail to create a balance between what we know, what we are thought and what we experience in our daily lives. Many choose to deny what they find hard to accept and accept what they want. Faith is a personal matter that most will do anything to defend. But why don't you provide evidence for your claims?

Krayola2:
Why one great force? why not two, three, several. . .working together, or in opposition, or seperately. Why erase all other possibilities? Could it be your background in a monotheistic faith that leads u to think that there must be only one force? What presuppositions do u bring to the table when u make this assertion so boldly, and where did they come from?
Do you read wellhuh grin

He never said particularly that there is only one force. But tell me, what do you mean by several forces. The only forces known to exist are the forces of good and evil. Even if they are working together like in the concept of the Trinity, they still make up one force.

Thank God someone else is thinking along this line. People hat to believe what they fear, because it gives them a sense of insecurity. What do we all have to say about the roswell incident or even more importantly 'Area 56'. There are even more mysteries on earth than we can imagine and the ones that we see evidence we hate to believe them. But there's still a question. We think we humans are intelligent, yet till today, we have never understood how our brain works much less understand the other powers that exist in the universe. And some things we call psychic powers, which the igbos had a long time ago, but was tarnished by mordernity because of the claim that all our powers and practices was devilish.

The greatest mistake a fool can make is to think he is wise, for so, he will never get to learn again in his life. Read this stuff well:

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself Galatians 6:3

bindex:
You can start by showing us where your god lives.
You can start by telling me why you cannot see spirits, or can you?

There is no use deceiving yourself by thinking that because you do not understand something it does not exist. Man has always known that there is a mightier force that exists both in tradition and religion. I know there are orphans but even orphans can have grandfathers. If you have one, you can go and ask him that question, but first, I will like to ask you, What is your prove that God does not exist?

@Kenkas: You can either compile it as a library and reference the library, or you can copy the contents of the other class and add it to your classes. I guess you want to use the first choice. To do this, start a library project and after you finish, compile the project(build the project). Then go to your main project that you want to import the project to. Go to your references in solution explorer and right click. You will see a tab for adding a project. Browse for the project and add it. Then in your main source file, add using [namespace of the imported project] You will then be able to use the classes in your library normally. Goodluck.

NOD32 is just full of CRAP! I had to uninstall it immediately I installed. It could not even detect up to 5 viruses from the hundreds of viruses I dumped on my system, and worse, is that IT WAS UPDATED! And the viruses are old!!!

@Tunde: Of course I need help. Is it possible to get unlimited bandwidth from my own account. Can I use a firewall breaker? How does the bandwidth limiting stuff work? Thanks!
ProgrammingRe: Post Your Csharp, Cplusplus, Java And Assembly Questions Here. by skydancer(op): 2:29pm On Sep 03, 2009
Click the edit items button, then select add columns. Then in the type of column, select combo box item. It's that simple.

I now understand how this network stuff work. They actually limit the bandwiths of some users. When I used my mom's account the speed was 20kbps but on some accounts it peaks at 1mbps. But on administrator accounts, it peaks at 1mbps! And it is actually owned by UNN. Soludo just built it, nothing else.

Yeah you are right to think that way. The truth is, I think they are on an e-learning project. They are upgrading their prometric centre and there is definitely something else that they are doing in two closed rooms that no one is allowed into.
ComputersRe: The Fastest Cafe I Have Ever Known(about 600kbps Download Speed!) by skydancer(op): 8:19pm On Aug 30, 2009
10kbps is crazy.

@Tunde: It is not owned by the school on the contrary. It was built by Soludo but that doesn't mean he is the manager either. Maybe if you come there one day. You will confirm it. We were only three in the cybercafe when I was downloading it(coz it was a saturday). But what do you mean large bandwidth should not be allowed?

@bawomolo: Must you go in the direction that your fellow man has made for you? are you saying you cannot do a test that is not scientific. It just shows absolute rejection, nothing else. You don't want to give it a chance.

@mazaje: if you are saying that the lame hasn't walked in the name of God, then you just don't want to believe. Egyptians too have something like that in their dark magic. Imhotep at least did some stuff like that

The Cafe is in UNN nsukka. UNN cybercafe, but I can bet it is 10 times faster than Afrrihub and even cheaper. In fact I hate Afrihub, they block downloads with their software and the changed the explorer shell of the system to a different one making it hard to use

Christianity EtcRe: Atheists Let's Discuss by skydancer(op): 12:44pm On Aug 29, 2009
If you learnt science, you will have known that we start first with assumption, believing that a particular things is the cause of something. It is the same with God. I am talking of a supreme being who created the Universe. As I said can you explain how one is raised to death in the name of God or how a lame starts to walk by simple prayers. It cannot be explained scientifically and there are so many miracles out there. If you had had forefathers(for eg. in the igbo tradition) My grandfather is a pagan and He also knows and acknowledges a supreme being of Justice, who is powerful and above all other deities. In paganism, they hardly say prayers or worship this suprememe being directly but they believe the deities they do so can communicate with the supreme God. I don't know whether you are a Nigerian, but all the traditional religions I know in Nigeria recognise a supreme God, called Ezechitoke(In igbo, meaning the King who creates).
Everything I said here is just a hypothetical theory and if you read carefully what I meant was for one to put it to test and find out if it's true. Period

ComputersRe: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by skydancer(op): 10:43am On Aug 29, 2009
@ABDUL: Your ram could have had excess charges. Has is started working or is it still not working? If it's still not booting, then it may have undergone a circuit short which will cause it to stop working with certain cpu frequencies. Try holding pg down(or page up: depends on your motherboard bios). Or if you can reset the cmos jumper do so. If not just hold down pg down when putting it on. This should return the cpu clock to the normal factory frequency. After putting it on, go to the bios settings and just leave it on for some time to see if it will go off. If it doesn't go off, leave it and just restart it normally. If it goes off, find a place where 'cpu frequency' is written in the bios settings, then reduce it.
