Babysho:
You sure there's no explanation for why it could be 180? The person is a trusted family member.

And any idea what the rate is in Nigeria not the one on Google.
As of today being the 24th of September, the AUD dollar rate is $267.50 (source is world remit), mind you, it goes up and down from time to time, but am sure it would have been higher as at when your friend received the money.

Babysho:
My friend's uncle sent some money to her from Australia using transfer. She didn't have an account to receive it on so she had to use someone else's here in Nigeria. The person later transferred a meager amount to her and said Australia dollar rate is 180 per dollar. How true is thishuh We googled it and it says 277 per dollar. What could be going on?
Well that's obviously a lie from the account holder. Tell your friend to go open a bank account so that she can be receiving money directly, if not, she will keep getting ripped off.

Hi everyone.
I would like to share my experience on this Aussie parole.
September 2017 I got my visa 489,my hubby move to Australia in October same year while I was still in Nigeria cos I need to resigned (work with LSG).I joined my hubby in December same year.Jan 5th we moved to a regional area in qld.Getting accommodation was hard cos we don't have Rental history, we therefore lived in a shared accommodation with a Fijian woman.God used this woman to make things easier for us in term of settling in.Hubby got a job at the factory. I applied for different roles but wasn't lucky to even get an interview. I enrolled for certificate 3 in individual support and I got Government funding,so I only paid $65 for the course.Hubby encourage to concentrate and finish the course and also look aftet the kid while he worked and foot all the bill.i finished the course with 6month.(wanted to finish as early as 2montg but the RTO wouldn't allow me of qld directive that the course should be done around 6 to 12month).I got a job where I did my placement and life was good.
January 2020 we lodged our 887(PR).God added to my family 3months after we lodge 887,so I was able to enjoyed all the care given to a citizen at hospital . NO DIME PAID. We notified CO of our additional baby, baby got 489 and Bridging visa immediately. Six month after lodging 887,got CO to rescan hubby passport. September we got our grant..

I just want to encourage anyone there, that do whatever it takes you to be here.Let me quickly add that I didn't get job in my occupation (Public health) and I couldn't do any further study cos of the cost. Finally, if its 491 worst case scenario student visa you could get, grab with Joy.If you are not lazy and you know how to save .You will be alright
Congrats on your PR Grant, I also got mine last month (August) after four years of coming into the country on student Visa.

Has anyone used world remit or transferwise to send money (AUD 1000 and above) via PoliPay to Nigeria? Please let me know how long it took for the recipient to receive it.
Why not try cashremit, they only use PoLi pay, and they good rates. And it doesn't take long before the recipient receives the money

Good day every one. Please I need an URGENT help. I have been working in a bank and I assessed with Vetassess as a Customer Service Manager last year. I got a negative outcome in June 2019 (12weeks after) saying my documents do not show a dedicated customer service management role and that tasks undertaken are not relevant to ANZSCO Tasks. It was added that my documents showed I was heavily involved in the day to day operation of a branch. I was greatly discouraged.
I am planning to reassess soon but unsure of the documents to add and how to repackage documents for a positive outcome. I have been in customer services and branch operations. My first degree is in Chemistry 2:1 but I have no masters. My employment in banking started in 2008. I was assessed from 2014 to 2019 by vetassess. I have an ielts academic score of 7.5
Please and please help urgently on the best step to take now. Waiting eagerly for your response
Why not try Canada express entry? Am sure you would get a positive assessment with your work experience and ielts result.

Hello, thanks for your input, however, I have 5 burning questions for you, kindly answer to douse my ignorance.

How is the job market in Australia for Frontend software engineers or Website Developers?
What type of Visa should one apply for without a job sponsorship from Australia?
How much does one need in their account to move to Australia as a skilled migrant without a job in Australia i.e. Bloc account, asset declaration etc.?
What is the total cost and duration of this process?
What would be the cost of moving with my wife who just graduated as a Nurse (Bs.N, RN) and our 3yr son?
Lastly, what is the wage for say menial jobs if I don't get the desired job in my field of proficiency.

I would really appreciate your input and those of our kind hearted Aussie-Nigerians. Thanks.
IT jobs are in high demands, and they pay really well....you can check seek.com.au or indeed.com.au for more detailed info.
189 or 190 visa, will do.

No Hepatitis test?
It's up to the department to decide whether that will be included on your test list, but its mostly you will be required to get tested on it because you are applying from overseas.

Hello everyone.
I've stuck to this thread for over a month now taking it all in. I feel like I have what it takes to get the required minimum point (I'm just 29, single, I have around 7 years work experience, the right qualification and I've demonstrated superior english twice- it's a requirement for my job that you have the certificate).
However there is a sour topic I never came across. I'm HIV positive, undetectable though. I'm worried about the medical screening process.
I've read that there are certain circumstances under the waiver provision when a person can be granted permanent visa.
If there's anyone who can help, either you've had a personal successful experience or you know someone who has, I'd really appreciate a feedback soon.
(Feel free to send me an email please)

.
I don't want to go on a wild goose chase.
the MOC will assess your medical condition with the threshold for a period of 10 years. The threshold of costs is currently $49,000 to become “significant”. if the cost for treating you is beyond $49,000 within 10 years, you will need to provide compelling and compassionate reasons on why they should grant you the visa.

this link might give you the answer to your question.
https://ahwc.com.au/australian-immigration-news/australian-health-waivers/

i suggest you give it a shot, as you may be granted the visa. goodluck

Hello guys pls which medical tests are needed in order to fly to Australia from Nigeria
Which kind of test will they do and does tests results determine approval?
If you are coming on a PR visa, you would do the following test;

Medical Examination (501) which includes Urine test, eye check test, general body check, high blood pressure check, and heart rate check

Chest X-Ray (502)

HIV Blood Test (707)

But if you are just coming on a temporal Visa, you will not be required to do an HIV Blood test unless you are going to study a medical related course.

And yes the outcome of your result can affect your visa outcome if you fail the test, most especially the HIV blood test.

Good evening doc, Pls I have been trying to get my wife pregnant for close to a year now but all to no avail.

To me I feel everything is okay with my wife since I met her a virgin

Though she had discharge which I believe I infected her with but you prescribed drugs for us and since after taking the drug, the discharge stop for over three months now,

But even at that, she has not been able to conceive which gives me the impression that the fault must be from my end.

What do I do Pls....?
