Didn't you see what NAFDAC is doing in the area of drugs and Cosmetics? They are somehow winning the war agianst inferior drugs because they have a set standard in place to check any drugs that is being manufactured.

That is NAFDAC. Have you ever asked the question why we have so many inferior phones(china phones abi what is the name they call it again) and phones with TV in Nigeria? Who is regulating that? Fake tablets PC coming in from China which is not available in the developed countries because they did not pass safety test is available in Naija. One is currently being distributed in education institution now and its a government backed project.

Lilimax: There is nothing wrong with China products when given the right specification for manufacturing.
Afterall China manufactures products for the US, Britain, Canada etc.
The problem is that Nigeria has no standard specification in a lot of products coming into
the country from China. Anything goes.... Standard Organization of Nigeria should wake up to their responsibilty as the onus rest on them in drafting standards for products.

Most of china products coming to Nigeria are inferior products because no quality assurance team to check them.As long as it works. I know someone who got a contract to distribute IPAD to educational institution only for him to go to china and bring in far more inferior products that is not apple product. Nobody checks them. That's why i said made in china products. Most of made in china products are not the same quality as other products being shipped to developed countries.

I was on this topic earlier https://www.nairaland.com/1269835/nigeria-really-unsafe . The guy who created the topic expressed his views and i express mine by writing about the experience i had this easter when i went to Nigeria for two weeks.
Only for the guy to attack me call me a fool and ediot. I did not take that lightly and i responded back while i copied his message into mine

Here is the problem.

I noticed his message has been modified and the swear words removed after my comment. The guy could have done it ba? Good but his message which i copied into mine will not have change? Wrong. That also changed . Same message i copied and viewed after i submitted by comment was changed to look like he did not insult or say anything negative removing a fraction of my own comment on insults on him and leaving the insults which will make people ask why was i reacting to a neutral comment.

I have been banned from politics section while the guy Rossikk is still active replying and taking his anger on people whose views are different from his.

So is Rossikk working with a mod? Is he a Mod? How did his comment which i quoted suddenly changed?

Modifying people post does not speak well at all for any mods. You cant be changing people's words which will make it look different from the original message? You guys are not God. If you want to block my comment, block. why will mods be modifying people's post?

That incident left me thinking.Here is another one. I was driving around 5pm around the island area not far from shoprite. Near one roundabout there,one police office shouted at me and jumped to my front with gun in his hand telling me to park(why will he shout in the first place. he created so much scene to make me feel i was a criminal or something).I parked and he came to my window,Guess what he said? ahh, too much money. baba ni e. . Is that the guys who are suppose to be battling crime in the city? He did not even ask me to open my booth. He only ask for money.no drivers license, no where was i coming from?.nothing. Just money.

Nigeria is really unsafe due to the corruption in the society. Its a well known fact that if you got money,you can do and undo in Nigeria.Does that make Nigeria safe?

Driving also in Nigeria is unsafe. Fact. The way everybody drives in Nigeria is unstable. You might think i am talking crap but please i need you make research. When my uncle in uk(i was in naija then) came and complained about how people drive in Nigeria,i though he was talking rubbish but its the fact, naija driving is unsafe.people driving and claiming two lanes on the road . so they can pick which lane moves fast. people jumping from one lane to another . scratch your car and all you will hear is sorry. My cousin almost got robbed on third mainland bridge at night.
There are loads of things. That light issue is another thing that makes Nigeria unsafe. That loud generator is also part of the things that makes Nigeria unsafe. Bad roads, bad politicians,no law and order.

Lets know we have problems in Nigeria and find ways to solve it than to keep deceiving ourselves

During Easter when i was in Nigeria , went out with my friends to see someone who just built his house in lekki. we stayed there for a while and left around 10pm going back to Ikoyi. Got stopped by some police officers( i though they said fashola banned checkpoints in Lagos? ) Told us to come out and later claimed we assaulted one of their officers aiming their gun at us saying they were going to shoot us. it was a tactic to throw us off our feet and when they found £ in my pocket, they concluded i was a yahoo boy. One of them told us they could waste all of us and claim we were armed robber and refused to stop. I really questioned why i came to Naija that day as i have not seen this kind of thing before in a long time. This guys that were suppose to keep the road safe said they would waste us and call us armed robbers which makes we wonder how many innocent people have been killed by police officers. I gave them money which is obviously what they wanted and they started calling me Rich kid. i was happy no accidental discharge happen and lucky to still be alive as i could smell concentrated substance on them which i could think off as weed. I noticed the other officers were trying to calm the guy who raised the gun at us claiming we assaulted him down.Either he is mentally unstable or was high on drugs.Till i left back to the UK,i refused to leave the house at night and ensure i am back home latest by 7pm.

Now i am here and reading post from people claiming Nigeria is safe? Maybe you guys should try staying in UK for a while and see the difference. I leave my house at 2am to pick up my mate at the train station and no reason for me to hesitate at night.Friday night, we go out from Portsmouth to London and sometimes Birmingham and we have no worries about any dangers on the road.Road is safe,No armed robber,No pot holes on motorways. IMHO, the fault is with the hospital. They should have at least try to save the remaining two babies. Telling the families to go and get drugs. what if they buy fake ones?

There are jobs.It might take a few weeks or months to get it but there are part time jobs around. Its now up to you if you want to do it. e.g Portsmouth/Southampton,there are care job and support worker jobs but you might spend some money on training before being allowed to work.it depends on the agency

Another dirty scam. I was in the country last week and was going around seeing traffic cameras around the mainland only for me to be told that they were not working. i took closer inspection to one of this cameras only to find out they were dummy surveillance cameras. They blamed hoodlums for stealing and destroying them but in fact they never had cameras there. Just dummies. No body to verify that anything works.$1billion for this. At the end of the day, they will outsource the software to India or china who will give us inferior software. How much did customs pay for their stupid software which never worked?
