Edopesin: So we should give them the slot because of form and strength? what assurance do you have that Rivers won't improve in form and even win the league?
Stop imagining and use the stats on ground We're not talking of concluding the league. If the league is allowed to run to conclusion any team can win. The issue is Enyimba's outstanding matches, 5 in number! If you allow them play those five matches they will top Rivers Utd. Simple. |
Sports › Re: Rivers United To Drag Lmc To Fifa, Cas Over Npfl Table by SlayerForever: 12:49pm On Aug 10, 2020 |
Sunnyja: Is it a MUST that Eyimba will win all the 5 matches?! I didn't say Enyimba will win the 5 outstanding matches. But as at the time the league was stopped Rivers Utd were leading with 8 points and goal difference of just 3. If Enyimba play those outstanding matches there's no way they won't be ahead of Rivers Utd on goal difference or points or both, considering form and strength. |

SlyCharlie: Even if you use Goals Coefficient. Enyimba would be in second position. Do your maths well Enyimba scored 30 goals in 20 games that'll give you a coefficient of 1.5 . Rivers United scored 28 goals in 25 game's that'll give you a coefficient of 1.12.
The Rivers people are even confused. they don't even know what they are fighting for. they'd lose at CAS if they are foolish enough to go to that extent. See me o. No mind them |

OfoIgbo: Nri predates Ife by possibly more than a thousand years. Ife's achievements is only provable from 12th -14th century AD
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If%E1%BA%B9
Tomorrow, you will tell us Ife invented coal-tar. And the Portuguese that were in Benin in the 1400s claimed that the papal figure to the east of Benin, was the greatest of such figure in the whole vicinity. Now I know Ife is probably closer to Benin, that any of the core umu Nri towns, yet the Benin people made such a statement to the Portuguese. What this clearly shows is that Nri was far greater than Ife. To put it in another way. Igbos (Nri) are greater than Yorubas (Ife) He's just jumping around. Nri is way too old to use and compare Ife. I think an Igbo civilization even predating the Nri kingdom was already holding sway probably alongside the Nok to the North. I'd say Ife and her people immigrated much much later. |
Politics › Re: The Origin Of Arochukwu, Ohofia, Abam And Ututu People Of Abia State by SlayerForever: 5:56pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
OfoIgbo: Nri people held sway in Igodomigodo. Historical books allude to that. Nri people were also the cultural/religious guardians of Benin empire. Nri kingdom started perhaps up to a thousand years before the 9th century AD being ascribed to Nri's origin. That date only truly denotes the dating of the Igbo-Ukwu excavations which were attributed to the Nris, through Oraeri, an Nri offshoot. But it has been erroneously passed on, as the period that Nri civilisation started.
Benin people still use the 4 market days instituted by the Nris. They cannot deny that fact, as it is one of the very few cultural elements of Nri, that survives till present day. I know for sure there's no way the Igbo origin starts at the height of Nri civilization at 9A.D. Various archeological findings disprove this. |

Balogunodua: SlayerForever
The oldest Igbo Ukwu bronze dated back to 840AD so it does not predates Ijebu Eredo Sungbo stop lying the nok culture is by far the oldest dating back to 200BCE. You're talking rubbish bro. |
Politics › Re: The Origin Of Arochukwu, Ohofia, Abam And Ututu People Of Abia State by SlayerForever: 1:02pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
Balogunodua: You are still confused
There is no settlement in Igboland that predates that of ife or any west Africa settlement, and the Igbos were not the oldest group in Nigeria or west Africa infact the Eredo Sungbo in Ijebu dated back to 500AD so you have to understand what we are saying here is that the Igbo Ukwu were the earliest iron smelter in west Africa not the oldest group and their bronze is not even the best, cause the lack the techniques found in the earlier Ife and Benin bronze mainly soldering, wire making etc.
You can go make your research. Continue running about. You're talking 500 AD while Nok and the Igbo civilizations have been present a millennium earlier. To even support my stand the wire making and soldering are newer innovations. The Igbo Ukwu artworks were widely defined as using crude unfamiliar methods by archeologists showing these methods are much more earlier and independently developed. We're talking centuries older. You're arguing but you don't know the Benin art that came centuries later was heavily Nri influenced. Nonsense. You're yet to answer me: Where are the Nok today? |

The Nok never did any bronze smelting but terracota which is kown as the stone-age, the Igbo Ukwu bronze are the oldest in west Africa presently True. But where are the Nok today? You see your life The Igbo remain the oldest group in Nigeria today and probably across West Africa. |

Balogunodua: Stop taking toomuch apku it not good for your health
The only thing that predates that of Ife were the bronze found at Igbo Ukwu site and research still doubt it, Ife existed long before the birth Jesus Christ, infact the pave road in Ife dated back to 800AD and you Nri kingdom was founded in 900AD Oga Nri never predates Ife. You have said it yourself na. Igbo Ukwu predates anything across West Africa so far. So what is your argument again? Is it because I said Nri? No vex. It's all the same, Nri <=> Igbo Ukwu. |

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Nri Stop telling me about Nri Kingdom. Nri kingdom is not the origin of Igbo people. Igbo people have been discovered to have been around centuries before Nri Kingdom. Nri Kingdom was just the height of our very very early civilization. You get? |

Politics › Re: The Origin Of Arochukwu, Ohofia, Abam And Ututu People Of Abia State by SlayerForever: 10:44am On Jul 30, 2020 |
Atigba: That is not true.
Igbo didnt predate Igodomigodo, the oldest Igbo kingdom is Nri which was established in 9 century AD.
People have been living in Igodomigodo since 40BC You're still talking 40BC. Nri Kingdom precedes anything in Igodomigodo but Nri kingdom came much much later in Igbo history. Findings from Igbo excavation sites have revealed works from a millenium before. Igodomigodo, Ife were much later immigrations. If we scrutinize Igodomigodo we would find heavy influence from the much older Igbo group. Influences you won't like to see. |
