Politics › Re: Igbo Or Ijaw, Who Owns Opobo? by SlayerForever(op): 9:00pm On Aug 26, 2020 |
Our lack of an expansionist drive is costing us heavily in this point in time. If we were expansionist we won't be having this problem today of certain groups boldly laying claim over sections of our people. Today an Igbo cannot emphatically stand in Opobo and say it is Igboland. |

If these people are our people it will be a travesty to let Ijaw grab them in, even if they are ignorant. Modified. Also can one explain to me why majority of them in Opobo bear Jaja as name. It's rather strange seeing so many (unrelated) would be bearing the same name. Considering that the word "Jaja" does not mean anything and is only a poor corruption of something else. |
Politics › Igbo Or Ijaw, Who Owns Opobo? by SlayerForever(op): 8:50pm On Aug 26, 2020 |
On several Opobo Facebook pages there's been a renewed effort by Ijaw nationalists to rope in Opobo into the Ijaw fold and the people are not resisting. The people are been encouraged to do away with anything Igbo inclined in favor of Ijaw. |

By the recent trends I can say there's a growing impression amongst the Igbo folk that the minorities will be a bad addition to our country. These days I welcome such news. Hopefully, we will not form a country with them. |

The onus was on them to do this. It's a serious failure on their part.

garfield1: Up buhari Buhari didn't effect anything. The maritime owners threatened to ditch Apapa entirely if the government doesn't decongest the port. So they have to look for alternatives, in this case using barges to ship to Onitsha. |

If you're saying this because of the port better know the situation is out of their hands. Ensuring only Lagos Port is point of call all these years has put them in a bad corner. The port is now bringing huge negative returns. Hence they had to rethink. |
