I'm a high flyer with a great job and good degrees. I have hopes, dreams and ambition but unfortunately, my love life is in disarray. I've had relationships in the past and i didn't tell my partners i had sickle cell.

Now, i'm ready to get married and i need to be blunt and open up. My greatest fear is being turned down because of the disorder. Especially as it is no fault of mine.

Will i really find true love if i open up on my disease? I know how families and friends try to discourage people, i don't need pity or sympathy. I just need someone to take me as i am. Sickle cell is not a tea party. Being married to a sufferer is not for the faint hearted.
Thankfully, I'm not that sickly, hardly visit the hospital and hardly am i limited in any activities by my disorder.

So for real people, who is really bold enough to marry an SS?
