I have sent several mails, I even sent a mail to a parliament member of the constituent where my school is based. They also helped me enquire into the status of my application, same generic reply that my application is still under active review. No one can predict how IRCC works sha, but I know I will testify soon and I will keep sending mails. Thanks a lot Rootiab: WHAT WORKED FOR ME WAS PRAYER AND EMAILS. I SEND MAILS 3 TIMES A WEEK, SOMETIMES MORE AND ON THE 17TH I SENT 3 MAILS AND IN THE AFTERNOON I GOT PPR |

I also applied in nov (5th to be precise) and there are still some people who applied in sept/oct still awaiting final decision. I think you should order ur gcms notes as it will give u more clarity. If you don't submit the confirmation letter will ur admission be withdrawn? Luckily my school does not have such condition although I have passed my deadline to defer but I chose not to defer with faith and also because my gcms notes shows everything is proceeding accordingly (eligibility says recommend interview). It will definitely end in praises for us still waiting Benquip: Biometrics completed since November 23rd, Eligibility review started 2 weeks ago after sending mail and webforms to All the IRCC center, This Friday is deadline to submit confirmation letter to school and I am presently in my 11th week of lectures online... No response from IRCC on either BVL or PPR .. Is there anyone with a similar situation? |

Congrats Nuel, glad to see that Oct/Nov applicants are still being attended to. I am next to testify IboBoyNuel: BVL and PPR just dropped.
Second application
Application date: 13th October, 2020. NSE request letter: 8th December, 2020. Submitted NSE documents: 30th December, 2020. Requested GCMS notes: 21st January. Upfront Medicals: 21st January, 2021. Medicals Passed: 23rd January, 2021. After 40 mails and webforms to IRCC, finally BVL and PPR : 17th March, 2021.
5 months. It has finally ended in praise. Thanks to all everyone who answered my questions even when the question sounded dumb. Lol. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum. I did everything myself and i learnt everything I know from here.
Special thanks to Justmellow, Frankrobbn1, Qudkom (haven't seen this moniker in a while), lekiboboe, etc. I even sent mails this morning before receiving ppr. I can now finally pay my tuition before the deadline which is next week Thursday. To everyone who is expected ppr, keep praying. God always comes through for his children. |

Even me I did not have up to 30k cad in my account but I had sufficient funds for my study but if you google NSE requirements it says 30k cad and its based on that we mention the amount here. There is no harm having more than required but if you do not please still submit. Highest your application will be processed via the normal route. Like they say no two applications are the same shupy: where did y'all get this NSE fund requirement of 30k cad being in an account for 6 months. One person that got her permit stated the NSE required “Proof of Financial Support A mybankStatement certificate showing sufficient funds for your studies for at least 6 months and 12 months of banking history”. The 30k cad is misleading. |

After uploading hope you went ahead to submit. It will take you to a page where it will show you the visa application fee amount again and you click on submit to transmit the document. I think after this it will change to submitted Rootiab: for mine. The 30k cad has been there over 6 months but I uploaded the ticket and it still says action required |

Did you meet the financial conditions for the MBS? 30k cad being in the account for a 6 months minimum period? I heard that when this aspect is not met IELTS result alone cannot guarantee faster processing as they will have to run more checks. I do not know how true it is though but I suspect this is why some applications are taking longer to finalize. We can only just hope for the best in the end Dbankx1: Anyone did NSE but not received any news from ircc?? I thought it was 20 days that was advertised for NSE that’s why I took the time to write ielts. Did I waste money for nothing? |

Online classes with full time work especially bank work is really not easy. I had to attend a 2 hours class yesterday night which started by 11:30pm and also make it to work today before 8pm. The good thing is my job is not so demanding and I can do some reading on my desk while at work during slow periods. This has really helped me to follow up with classes and my grades so far have been good. Just trying to encourage you that you are not the only one going through this, I know your job might be more demanding than mine but when there is a will there is a way. Keep pushing and do your upfront medicals asap, it will end in praises for us Lyndaa22: Good day all, I need an urgent advice on my application. I applied by myself on the 10th of September 2020 and my application was rejected on the 17th of September. I was confused because before making the application I showed a lot of experienced agents all my Document and they did some adjustment and they said it was perfect, I was like 90% sure of my profile. After my first application was rejected, I was really sacred so I went through an agent in Canada and she reapplied for me. The time line of my 2nd application goes like this: Application date - 27th September 2020 Biometrics - 2nd of November 2020 NSE request – 12th November 2020 NSE submitted -24th November 2020 Additional document request (Employment letter) – 14th January 2021 Additional document submitted - 15th January 2021 And it was the last I heard from them, no updates at all. I haven’t done a medical upfront although I booked for 18th of February 2021 with the hope that I would have a medical request before then. My agent has sent couple of mails to them, I personally sent webforms but no update yet. My major issue is that I have paid my first term school fees because the school gave a deadline (school fees can be refunded if visa was denied). Lectures resumed on the 18th of January with online classes, because of time difference and work (I work in a bank), I haven’t been attending classes, I just try to read on my own and it hasn’t really been easy for me because the write tests every day, I have missed a lot of test if not all. I tried to defer but the school said they don’t defer and I can’t quit my job yet because if things don’t work out as planned, I would be jobless and you know what it means to be jobless in this country. Honestly this has been a really rough phase for me, I am so confused, I don’t know what to do anymore, my agent keeps telling me to have patience that it would come but the more I wait the more I miss a lot from school which would definitely affect my grades at the end. Is there anything I can do about this situation? Its draining me mentally. |

This was gotten from students who travelled to Canada recently. Tuition receipts was one of the requirements asked at the point of entry. As justmellow mentioned it also depends on your school, some schools do not require tuition payment before guaranteeing you a seat and issuing you an enrollment letter but to prove to the border control people and those issuing you your study permit that you are really coming into Canada for studies payment of at least your first semester tuition is advisable in this era. lavicollins: Thanks for your swift response.
When did that start and do you have a proof I can show the person that told me please? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by sleekcheek: 6:15pm On Feb 05, 2021 |
This was possible pre Covid era but now one of the requirements they check at the point of entry is tuition receipt so at least payment of your first semester fee is required lavicollins: Gurus in the house, I need your urgent response. Someone said once application fee is paid & admission is given, one can get to Canada before payment of tuition fee. How true is this? |

In addition to this contact the person that made payment for you to be sure the money was not reversed. Yteem: For the submission of NSE, there is no additional charge.
This mail is a tricky and dicey one that should be handled with care.
Could there have been an error from the person that paid for you?
Can an application be submitted if payment is not made?
Just wondering aloud with you to see what exactly could have triggered the mail.
I think a letter of explanation stating that you made payment in respect of your application, also maybe attaching the receipt that you got when you submitted should be written and then send to them.
A letter of explanation was requested for anyway. So just put your thoughts together with evidence that you have and send.
Let’s also wait for more people to add to this. |

Study permit, work permit are both temporary residence applications (this means you are allowed in Canada for a certain/defined period of time) As for the charge 235 cad is the exact amount for a fresh study permit application, did you pay your fee for your previous study permit application? Secondly, I want to know the list of documents I must travel with. Mind you, I have not paid any fees to the school and I have already applied to defer till September, 2021. Still waiting for the school to send me deferrment letter, though supervisor wants me to resume ASAP. MSc.
