..... I will not blame it solely on incompetence. It is either the money was siphoned for a different purpose for which she was kept in the shadow about or she is just a figure head in that ministry without actually knowing what goes on there cos she was just appointed for the purpose of filling up a vacancy 7 Likes |

Politics / Re: Fashola: How We Added 400MW To Power Nat Grid Despite Sabotage by slick1(m): 11:30am On Sep 25, 2016 |
...... This is what u get when u put square pegs in round holes. Mr Fashola is a lawyer so I don't blame him when he sees 400 MW as a monumental achievement and enough to provide uninterrupted electricity for years I did a research for a friend recently and I discovered that what we generate in terms of electricity from all the modes available in Nigeria isnt up to what is produced using solar alone in America in terms of MW. And our minister of power isn't ashamed to say we have increased power generation by 400 mw. This is what only one solar station in california produces. The government has to encourage private investment in the power sector and task them with generation of electricity from renewables especially and also ensure the current structure of power generation and distribution functions effectively. Debts owed gencos must be paid in order to enable them generate the much they can the resources available right now while transmission and distribution must improve in order to cover the national electricity grid. When the current system works effectively, it will be easy to convice investors to come in and invest their hard-earned money, especially in renewables |

Sports / Re: Throwback Photos Of Footballer Alex Iwobi by slick1(m): 4:27pm On Sep 24, 2016 |
Start small, be consistent and have d determination to get to the top. It works even in football. The lad has a bright future. P.s. Lesson to Nigerian footballers. It's nit when you've tried in other areas of life without success then u remember u can play football at 30, then u start using machete to slice ur age. Football is a physical sport with time ur real age will surface Lesson to Nigerian parents, learn to suppot ur kids in their areas of strengths. Not everyone has the brains to go through formal education. Stop forcing ur failed dreams on ur kids. Being a footballer doesn't make ur kids any less valuable in society than an Engineer. Sky is ur limit Alex iwobi 1 Like |
Business / Re: Profit Sharing Ratio Between Business Partners by slick1(m): 4:06pm On Sep 24, 2016 |
I'll go back to the old saying of 'He who pays be piper calls the tune', even tho it is quite not related to this Partner A who provided the capital should have major share, cos business plans don't make u rich. It's when people invest & then the business grows u can then make money from ur business idea cos it has bn turned into reality by another man's money. My advice is be patient and earn as much as u can active Partner B, get a new business idea then invest in it. It's all yours then P.s. The above advice is for the 'nice guys' but sometimes business needs the 'hard and smart' guys For the hard and smart guys, use what u r earning from the business to start a rival business that will compete with the current one. You had the original idea, so u know the slight modifications to make to give ur new rival business an edge and make money from two sides. Don't crucify me, It's just my thought process at work 36 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics / Re: It's Illegal And Unconstitutional To Sell Off National Assets - Falana by slick1(m): 6:16pm On Sep 22, 2016 |
Nigeria's problem has always been that of mismanagement, greed and bias which has led to the implementation of silly policies that have pulled us down for so long and make life hard for the common man. You are selling assets to revive the economy right? Ok, who will manage the fundsobtained from the sale (i.e. if ever there is a sale cos govt can just transfer ownership to trusted loyals and quote a might amount to fool the public), the same govt that have over the years bn so wasteful with resources? Put the right policies in place, give jobs to d right people (i.e. put nepotism and favouritism aside) and in no time this country will be on track to be one of the greatest nations in the world. The youths are already giving up on the nation. God help us |

The same. Professors that are so happy and ever ready to go any national media and criticise any move by government are now angry when criticised.. Shame on them, cos I see nothing wrong about the young man's post. During their days as students, they were even more active in student unionism than the students they are trying to stifle. They schooled as kings even when most of their parents were poor farmers, they protested if there was no meat in the free meal the govt was giving them, they protested at any slight discomfort and now they are against unionism Never give up Greatest Nigerian Students....Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta 20 Likes 4 Shares |

Did charms originate from Nigeria? Aren't there magical powers in other countries of the world? What I'm trying to say is charms do not protect criminals. Why don't these guys travel to developed countries of the world and rob without fear cos they have charms? Nothing concern charms and security, beef up ur security and these so called "red oil" militants will be crushed like ants. |
