And when I talked about Chelsea, I'm saying what they are experiencing at this moment is the effect of their policy over the last few seasons. I'm not talkin abt the team they fielded in this year's carling cup where their fringe players got beaten by the team our fringe players totally mullered in their home.

When you talk of dulling the lines. . . . well that is what you end up getting with the Arsenal kind of policy, although of late our second string isnt stepping up as much we would like.

And as simplistic as it sounds yes chelsea are where they are because they overused their top performers. While bringing in more top levelers when needed eg Anelka. Well they relatively arent spending anymore and the fringe players never developed enough to give the same level of performance.

We do not have the same luxury where finances are concerned we cannot afford to risk our top performers' health. See Djourou and Fabregas.

And its simple logic demands you use your better players for the higher grade competition. No? Unless of course you are saying let's play Fabregas in carling and rosicky in league because 'what the heck, we won't win league anyways'.

If we go the distance this season. We will be needing to play 2 games per week. And you basically want the same set of players stepping over the white line evrytime?
