@A-40, well true it is time to just bin this thing, cos going through the blogosphere i have seen that though it is acting like some uniting factor for our team it is actually also distracting from the main issue at hand. The fact that we are in a title battle with a better chance of winning it. But let me make my last comment, at least at the level of debate. It will be quite naive for us to assume that Arsenal dont make bad tackles or it is only against Arsenal that bad tackles are made. But it is a very well accepetd truth that before matches players and coaches alike talk about roughing up Arsenal players. And hence on to the game we see all sorts of tackles wrongly labeled committment. My grouse with what happened to rambo is not just that the player made a tackle he shouldnt have. It is the fact that he used an excessive force strong enouhg to break another person's leg on contact. All for a 50-50 ball, actually a bal he had lost?. All because it seems accepted that hard tackling gets Arsenal off our stride. There are clumsier tacklers in football. Paul Scholes comes to mind, always likely to get a booking, but memory fails me to come up with a tackle that had Scholes breaking another person's leg. What is the difference? He doesnt tackle with such excessive force and calls them committment. On a final note, just for 5 seconds bear with me and imagine that miskick Diaby made on Terry. Just imagine in his misguided passion he had used the same force Shawcross used to tackle a 50-50 that broke another person's leg in 2 . . .just imagine. There is a genuine reason why excessive force and disguised brutality masquerading as commitment should be removed from football. |
DK. . .didnt Debo just say people were banned? Did you have to post that 'Saint arsenal' thing. You know you didnt have to, you could have simply chosen to read on and not comment. It was uncalled for. Sincerely give it a rest, stop acting like you did nothing wrong. Usually wont seem that bad, in these circumstances, overboard. Like i said, you should have just kept out of it. Now please give it a rest. |
^^^^DK, ffs Debo has talked nice, v3 has talked nice. . .our boy's leg got broken, we got mad, you added your usual even though very much uncalled for in this situation, people responded. . . .now you want to pontificate?! Abegi!!!. |
Akinalabi, dude you are 2 centuries late. In 1800s when people were complaining that the robust side of football was not being allowed enough, they banded together and formed Rugby. See your options are growing. Football is for techniclally astute people, geeddit? Not for retards who think cos its called football you have to kick someone's foot. |
Who gives a flying f.uc.K if he was crying or not? His victim is in the hospital with a career on hold. Well, you can want the old game back, oh hell, what do you mean you want it back. Where did it go? It still exists, its called the Sunday league. You can kindly f**k off and go watch em. In the premiership we actually try to play football. Geddit? Football, you know that game when technically apt player try to outwit and their opponents. |
Tayoccu God bless you. That is very much my point. How much force does a player need going into a 50-50 tackle. Gallas went into a 50-50 tackle totally mistimed which ended up on another players ankle. Said player was well ready to take the pitch the next game. That is simply because he knew not to apply force enough to break a man's leg in a tackle. In this case Akinlabi wants us to accept it was just a bad tackle, when the swing of a leg was enough to break another man leg?!!! Are you shitting me?!! It is this silly hard tackle mentality when idiotic teams confront Arsenal that results in all this nonsense. And in a media driven hard football culture which we are safe to say is biased against Arsenal what the hell more do you expect?!! This was an horror waiting to happen. Les than 3 weeks ago, Arsene was complaingin about this incessant fouling on our players. And this man-u fan wants us to believe we would have pretended it didnt happen if we didnt have a leg break. And he's here talking about emotions. Old boy take your time oh!!!! This poo wont receive any media coverage other than he is a good boy and Wenger is whinging and going over the top, unless of course it is england's hope for glory, then we will be seeing centre spreads of what a foot looks and and people will be receiving more biology than they ever did in high school!! And the inner workings of an oxygen machine. What utter rubbish!! 3 times in 4 years is f.Ucki.ng enough. This time somebody has to have this one on his conscience!!! |
I am stil pissed as f.U.ck. If the useless inept FA dont do something about this uselss football culture that persist in England where a 19 year old boy can have his bone broken by something trying to retrieve a 50-50 ball. What utter rubbish. How much force does one need going into a challenge?!!! And what is more annoying how they keep saying he's not thhat type of kid. Are you kidding me? A player who is on course to end the carrer of another player. Who has sent 3 players to medium to long time absence is is not that kind of player? This culture of excessive force in tackling has to be put to an end. A-40 with all due respect we shouldnt keep quiet about this. This is not about winning triphies this is about the career of our players. 3 players in 4 years. Just because everybody has gotten a stupid notion that the only way to beat Arsenal is to rough them up? news flash to the m.or.ons, we have beaten evrybody who came to the field with thuggery. This nonsense has got to STOP!!!!! True talk though we really shouldnt lose focus on where our season is at rigth now. We have a league to win. It seems they really want to make it harder. Well we are not giving up you assh.oles!!!! And to the idiot Sharon that says the little kid deserves it. Well, you are just an idiot. Nuff said. |

did folks even bother to read the reason he decided to opt out. The dude says he doesnt want tension in the dressing room. And this is as major as tensions get. Players will tend to take sides and those who dont will just be looking on with pitiful eyes. Is that the kind of dressing room suituation England wants when they are trying to win their first trophy since forever? Which player doesnt want to go to the world cup? And people are out attacking him as being unprofessional like if he's some programmed machine. |
Hi Gooner, well as per pompey thank God they didnt have to withdraw from the league altogether. From FA cup to admnistration and sure relegation. Sad tale. Dudu something you said is what i've been trying to say as my defense of our state of being now. The youth thing was not an experiment, not a project . . .not somebody waking one morning and decided it will be more fun to win with kids. It is the path that was chosen after careful projection of what our financial situation was going to look like if we had to build a new stadium and yet remian competitive. . .and more importantly be worth something in money terms. Simply put it had to be done. True talk something had to suffer, sadly for fans it had to be on pitch success. Here's to hoping it's all coming to fruition now. Maybe its not yet uhuru, but i believe the aspect of inability to buy personnnel or improve on player contracts based on finnacila constraints should be a thing of the past now. Anywyas thats talk for the summer. Right now we have the some of Anak form Stoke to take on. Like A-40 said, we need to stand our ground not bee shifetd off the ball. We have by far more technically gifted players so outplaying them is not an issue. The matter will be to refuse to budge physically. COYG!! |
Meanwhile eldee God bless you for your observation. When i saw d cover i thot looked nice but wasnt in any way conceptual as his other covers. Looked blingy to me. I was expecting at the least a play with the Vitruvian man or something about the Reinessance man, a throwback-all doing image kinda thing. Big ups to the guy who did it over. I hope M9 takes a cue and makes it over too. At bjmighty, omo forget matter oh, album cover na major matter. Appearance in everyway matters. |
DK DK, ehen so you sef dey watch match for Faj? Omo looong tin, inside dat hoooot condition. Ha ha ha. |

A-40 ha ha ha, get physical wit Stoke However, I gree with you man. . . concentrate concentrate concentrate!!!! |
Either Inter actually dont know how to attack, or they just chose not to. The truth is that both times they went forward in numbers they scored. The rest of the match they were just content playing the ball to isolated Eto'o , Millito or even hoofing the ball to an already marked Balotelli who did well several times to shake off his markers. BUt then Malouda is no left back is he? |
Ed no ask DK dat kain question, we all know he can only get it up after seeing a poster of Hitler. But every rational thinker knows the sane answer. @Afro, can u please speak english? This is a forum abeg, we r nt txtin hr. . . . ![]() @Myself2. . ![]() |
^^^^Just say Suara or Sharon, NL police no go catch am!!!! |
Sharon u don come again. Light weight. Oh i see light weight in name abi?. No we should go for Ibra-no-goals. Chamahk fyi is not a luxury player feeding off other people's performance. It is actually the other way round, other people shine because he brings them into play. And that as been exactly what Arsene has said he likes about him. Other players play better with him. Where is he playing? Is that an argument. Villa is in struggling Valencia, Dzeko is in Wolfsburg. . . .so what's ur point. How can an Arsenal team commited to attacking football be looking for someone to be playing lonely man up front? |
Well saw only the highlights of the Bordeoux match as i was busy watching Shakira and Mad Jens (what a character) teach Barca how to play football on bleeped up turf. No kidding, if not for bad decisions and the complimentary UEFA referee nonsensesities Barca would have been duly embarrassed yesterday. Anyways i think Dudu's analysis of Chamakh is about right. He doesnt use his body to hold up the ball. More like short movements in the same area to allow time for others to come into play. Meanwhile i did see Carlton Cole as well and considering the fact we were also mentioning him, i have to say, no wonder Wenger was saying it wasnt abt just getting any striker. That dude's link up play is horrible. An unfit Bendtner so far brings people into play far better than CC. Even Mido was doing better after he came in. So the scummies sha won sha, nuffing do us. COYG!!! |
^^^^^^ ;d ;d |
^^^^ Ha ha ha, truly classic. After the dodgy penalty. Now dats how to scare a Devil!!! ![]() |
I think Rafael was at fault for Seedorf's goal, he had stuck to Dinho almost all game, then got too comfortable in possession far from the goal, got dispossesed and Dinho did his thing with all the space afforded plus with all the confidence he had been building up all game, the pass was top notch through limited space. Wasnt in anyways Evans' fault. Actually it was well on Ferdinand's side of the box. That said Sharon wont be quick to push Evans under the bus. He's been major rapture all season about the kid. Sauron if Pompey go down, seems we all lose points oh. Except the useless Scousers who couldnt get anything from them. |
With 22 tracks, its not that bad putting in 2 or 3 old tracks IMO. Death Blow 2? Im not so sure bout that tho. I go buzz person wey know. |
Lovely cover no doubt. Was expecting a conceptual thing tho. No lele. Lovely cover. |
Omo, Richie see set up!!!! Muki abeg no delete this thread oh. |
I can see we are getting back to usual. Donkeyanu picking his nose and eating the gunk, Suara peeping and having minor fits of panic attack. Anyway him dey do well to hide am. When we win am, he is sure to go haywire. Shutter Island sh.i.t., I tell ya. As to the Stoke players thing, maybe they'll be tired, but will all that hulking around im not so sure they will be that tired. But if they are good for us!!! anyways looks like we will be having the Diaby ong Cesc midfield, with an Arsha, NB 52, Nasri attack. . . .sure looks bright. @A-40 we didnt go out to sign that boy oh. He has been with us since forever. Anyways as Debo has said, there is no substitute for experience. Especially when it comes to winning things. COYG |
