Well, i have never seen or read that uniassist or any German universities rejected applicant for not providing first school certificate. But i have seen and read where first school certificate is not provided for visa application and the dude got the visa... So if you don't have it don't bother urself for visa applicatio as it flies without it....

Importantly your senior school certificate is compulsory by both uniassist and these universities...Especially those currently studying their degree in Nigeria and want to continue or start afresh in Germany..... Your evaluation by uniassist will be based the average on both (German converted grade) your senior school certificate and your Nigerian university year 1 grade....

Please is first school leaving certificate compulsory? I took common entrance from primary 5 and didn't go back to take the first school leaving certificate exam. But some years back around 2010 I went for the exam via adult education just incase government work show. So is first school leaving certificate part of what to submit for admission or embassy for Visa?

The answer to this question can be gotten from your university... However, it's possible to get it from the university....

How did you go about the certification of your degree certificate and transcripts? Was it sent directly from your Nigerian university to the German university? Because looking at the information on the German university website it was stated that they accept copy of stamped and sealed certificates and transcripts from the issuing university, only documents that are not mandatory can be certified by other institution like the embassy, High Court and so on... See screen attached....

My advise is to approach your Nigerian university to request to send both a copy of your degree certificate and transcripts to the German university.... Also, send a mail to your course coordinator to find out about the appeal if should come in form of a letter or how? In your appeal let them know it was an oversight of the need to send university certified transcripts and certificates....

I may be wrong.. It's just my suggestion though...

Pls I need urgent assistance! who has got the format for Contesting Admission Rejection?

I just got a Rejection Letter from Mannheim University.
Their reason is that I didn't certify all the pages of the copy of my Transcript.
Meanwhile, that's the same format I used to apply for other schools through Uni-assist last winter semester & it wasn't rejected.

Pls, how do I go about this appeal because they have given me 1 month to do so.

All of my application in last winter was applied with letter of English proficiency and i got 6 admissions.. It has to do with more research on various German universities on both daad.de and study-in-germany.de website... Although writing English test like TOEFL and IELTS gives you more schools to apply either directly or via uniassist, but EPL (English Proficiency Letter) can still get you more admissions like me....

The best thing to do is mail your intended course coordinator and explain the situation to him or her. Inform that u just graduate and bsc certificate is not ready from your school, that if you could use your transcripts and statement/notification of result from your university.....

Welcome on board.

However, there has been some ish around graduates of most universities in Republic of Benin. Most of their universities are not recognize on anabin (you can type anabin website on google to get the correct website). Anabin is a database of recognized higher institutions in any part of the world, and most German universities refer to before evaluating an applicants' educational documents such as transcripts and certificates. But most universities in Nigeria are recognized on that anabin site. To get admitted into any German undergradute degree HND or 100L transcript of any recognized higher instituition in Nigeria is required.

In order not being discouraged i would advise you to still search for more German universities and their courses cordinators, and send them a mail attaching both your transcript and certificates (you may include any related confirmation of work experience) for recognition and confirmation of the suitability for admission. The required amount to apply for a student visa at the German embassy is approximately 4.2M, and it covers for 1year living expenses which u know amounted to 853 euro monthly.

Above all please do more research on your plan to study. Google is your companion on this journey.

Good evening, everyone. I'm currently in my final year (in Benin Republic) and will be done by July-ish.

My folks called that I should look into south Cyprus for my master's degree, that after that I can get a Schengen visa and start work abroad. I asked about the costs and they said some agent can help me get scholarship, and we need like just 1M for living costs (hmm - I personally don't trust agents)... Still tho I've done as asked and through the Schengen visa research, I came across Germany and Netherlands, and I feel they're better than the Cyprus.

So not to derail, I like that most German schools are tuition free. And from the two schools I found for my MSc of choice - Software Engineering (currently finishing BSc computer science - with average programming skills); Fulda and Uni Augsburg , I'll just need living expenses (€500 - €800 monthly).

My questions are:
- Can I get a scholarship to cover these monthly expenses? What do I need to get good at to qualify? I'm in no rush. I'm thinking of doing my NYSC first, and hopefully being able to save the allowee for IELTS for winter 2021 applications.

- Considering I might have time on my hand, will learning German help? How? I saw something about a B1 or so while going through the last thread. Can it help with scholarships? Should I add GRE to my plan?

- Exactly how much minimum should I be sure of having before applying? I also read about a block account or so. That it should have the estimated living costs for my period of stay. This might be a problem for me, thus the scholarship search.

-Any additional tips would be helpful. I want to get everything prepared and planned before I start acting.

We just like to ask funny questions. How can you ask if it is possible or not when your intended German university sent you a mail or text whatsoever to reapply and attach your previous admission letter! Please let's be smart and act fast....

Let me ask you back, who in nairaland works in that university that can tell if possible to reapply or not?

When God has decided to favor you, He even went ahead to bend their policy which doesn't allow your intended course available for summer, and now you are asking for possibility. My brother you better go and do as advised by the university and give glory to God.

I just wanna ask, I gained admission to study Environmental and Resource Management in Cottbus-Senftenberg university but I was unable to resume for my studies because of AD, I sent text to one of the school rep that sent my admission letter to me explaining to him why I couldn't resume because of study permit denial by the embassy but I was told that deferment opinion was not available. I received another text from them today asking me to reapply attaching my old admission letter.
I want to know if that's possible guys?

How long does it take uni-assist to evaluate documents?

No one set of documents covers for all uniassist universities. The information is on uniassist website.

1. Depending on the course and your preferred university, the duration for Bsc programme is between 6 - 7 semesters which means 3yrs or/and half. There is nothing like direct entry (200L) however, you maybe admitted to start from a higher semester which means one semester will be reduced from the required graduating semesters if you meet the the course higher semester requirement.

2. Education in Germany are tuition free both Bsc and Msc however, there are private universities that charge for tuition. So it depends on which university you want to apply for. They both require a blocked amount of 4.2M to apply for student visa at the German embassy. This is to cover your 1year living expense in Germany.

3. Same admission window applies for both (winter and summer).

4. You should know your capability and strength

5. Should also know this yourself. Search on your courses and go through their modules to know which you can handle or passionate about.

In all, please do more research as google is available to answer these questions below.

i was on this thread, part 3 i believe, in 2016. but later gave up on travelling altogether after i got a rejection from canada. i have just again made up my mind to leave naija by 2020. and i have been reading through this thread. i noticed however that most of the posts (so far as i have read) talk about MSC applicants, so i am going to ask some questions because i intend going for a BSC. (i am currently 28, i have a 3rd class in geology from Uniben, with no relevant work experience-- have been getting by with teaching jobs-- and i understand that my chances for an MSC in germany are slim to none.)

on going through this thread, i realize that most people when applying for their MSC admissions also apply for a BSC as a back up. i understand that you need a 100L transcript as well to apply for a BSC in germany but here are my questions which i cannot seem to get the answers.

Each response will be highly appreciated. thank you as i continue to go through the rest of this thread to catch up.

Please just provide uniassist all your educational document and let them process your application. There is no cause for alarm. You think those people are not aware of our education system....The most important thing to them is your higher instituition must be recognized......

Am just trying to see if I can forget about mentioning the HND and nysc because this might lead to another question of how many years I did my Bsc. You know since I didn't start from 100 Level because I came in with my HND.

While you waiting for modupejay, and you need response asap i will advise you to go on the university website, search on the course and find out about the application.. If you are to apply thru uniassist or direct on their portal.. This information must definitely be there.

When you enter into the high court, ask the securtiy to direct you to....Litigation office........once you get to that office you will see another office by your right. That's where your document will be certified........A woman is there fair in complexion if she has not been change.........

The price shouldnt be more than 200 naira per page. Please go inside dont let those hustlers outside to extort you.....

I just called the embassy to get an update on AD and I was told the embassy is booked out for the year. I booked for category B, let's just be hopeful and have faith.

If they said so then search for the university on uniassist portal and apply for the vpd and make payment. After 4-6 weeks uni-assist will send your vpd to you both post mail and email..
