Politics › Re: Barcanista And The Promise Of Ministerial Aide by smartleo(m): 4:22pm On Apr 04, 2015 |
barcanista: This thread is to address certain issues which I believe are paramount to maintain my reputation.
On a certain day, I was approached by someone to jettison supporting Buhari and switch to Jonathan. The promise of an Aide to a cabinet minister was made. It was a good offer but I rejected it and maintained my support for Buhari. In the spirit of brotherhood I informed Rawani, Berem and some other people. The person that tabled it was a friend and he was even shocked. He had believed APC had been paying me. That was months before my defection. I find it irritating when people like Rawani used it as a basis. Even when I defected, the guy that ade the offer was wondering why I did moved to PDP finally. I told him that it wasn't connected with his offer.
After my defection to PDP, I was offered some stuff by a PDP Representative for my voluntary support to their course, this again I rejected outrightly. Though I maintained my support.
I was also approached by someone who told me the goodies I had missed for defecting to PDP. In fact, he had asked me to immediately retrace my step so as not to miss out on what is prepared for me. He kept on with that because he thought that I should reap from the #Buhari camp after my contributions, all these I declined to his amazement. The week of the election, he still tabled it but I declined.
It becomes shameful for someone like Rawani to assume that I did what I did for so-called Ministerial aide appointment. I know the stuff I'm made of and I don't accept what I don't believe in. If I had wanted to accept the offer I wouldn't have told Rawani or anyone else. I'm not not stupid. I had considered Rawani to be a friend and had lots of conversation with him. It is a shame that he and others will use my sincere words against me.
I would have mentioned names of the people involved but for respect of their privacy and not to drag them into unnecessary controversy, I will rather keep them anonymous.
Let me reiterate that my defection to PDP is unconnected with any offer whether monetary or otherwise.
If Rawani's accusation are truth, may God not grant me any fortune in real life. But if they are false, may God not grant Rawani and all my accusers happiness and fortunes in life.
Those who disagree with me should say amen.... . barcanista u sure say u get vision self,u r just like our everyday politician.pele |

Bevista: I disagree with you Mr Indomie Brain.
Think about this, Buhari with no recognized party structure (not even a LG councillor), without campaigning at all in the entire South, without any known financial backing, etc was able to muzzle 12million + votes in 2011.
Fast forward to 2015, PGEJ with the power of incumbency, about 20 state governors + FCT min, the entire security apparatus of the country, excess funds to throw around, etc was able to muzzle just over 12million votes.
It's a shame! sincerely you are correct |
Politics › Re: Buhari Will Not Force My Impeachment Illegally - Fayose by smartleo(m): 2:34pm On Apr 04, 2015 |
Editor1: Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state and fierce critic of Muhammadu Buhari during the electioneering period, has expressed optimism that the president-elect would obey the rule of law.
Reacting to the impeachment moves against him by lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fayose, who was the first PDP official to congratulate Buhari for his victory, said those lawmakers trying to oust him were only advertising their ignorance and crudity in the market place.
“The script being acted by the APC is a failed one because no one, no matter how highly placed, will be allowed to test the will of Ekiti people,” read a statement issued by Lere Olayinka, Fayose’s special assistant on public communication and new media.
“The speaker of Ekiti house of assembly is Hon Dele Olugbemi and not Dr Adewale Omirin.
“Since last year November, these so-called lawmakers abdicated their duties and ran to Lagos only for them to resurface on Wednesday, but they hurriedly ran away again.
“Now they are posting notice of impeachment signed on March 9, 2015 and Ekiti people are asking; was the motion for impeachment moved and adopted in Lagos or Osun state house of assembly? Is impeachment of a governor done along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway inside a moving bus?
“Rather than going about advertising their ignorance and crudity, the APC lawmakers should wait for the court to adjudicate on the case they filed because even the president-elect, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), will respect the rule of law when he assumes office.”
The assembly had been involved in crisis since October when Ayodele Fayose, the governor, assumed office.
However, the crisis reached its height when PDP members with minority number impeached Omirin as speaker under controversial circumstances.
Their APC colleagues responded by suspending the seven PDP lawmakers and resolved to relocate the sitting of the house to the premises of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), alleging that the assembly complex was no longer safe for legislative activities because it had been taken over by thugs.
But Fayose has acknowledged the action of the PDP lawmakers, and continues to insist that Omirin is no longer speaker.

Bevista: PDP is very poor in the art of proper politicking and mobilization. Over the last 16 years they have depended on money, intimidation, Federal Might, etc to have their way.
Now that they have lost their advantage, I'm not sure these guys have the wit, resilience and maneuver of Tinubu to offer a credible opposition.
I hope they don't all defect to APC after the Gubernatorial elections.
Modified: Should PDP loose Akwa Ibom & Rivers States, then their source of funds will really be compromised, making them virtually dead. sincerely I don't see pdp surviving as an opposition party, these fellas are bunch of thieves that thrive on federal government money But I see party like KOWA playing a more stronger role of the opposition .seriously time will tell |

He asked her: JONATHAN: How do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips u can give to me? I want to help Nigeria. "Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people." Jonathan frowned, and then asked,"But how do i know the people around me are really intelligent?" The Queen replied, "Oh, that's easy, you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle. The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please send David Cameron in here, would you?" David Cameron walked into the room and said,"Yes, your majesty?" The Queen smiled and said,"Answer this riddle. David, your mother and father have a child, it is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it? "Without pausing for a minute David Cameron answered,"that would be me." Yes, very good,"said the Queen. Jonathan went back home to ask his Vice President Sambo JONATHAN: Answer this. Your mother and your father have a child, it's not your brother and it's not your sister, who is it? SAMBO:."I'm not sure, let me get back to you." Sambo asked, Januzaj SAMBO: Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or sister, who is it?" Januzaj answered sharply, "That's easy, its me!" Sambo smiled, and said "Thanks!"
