IfnobeGod20:
Please can you state and quote the legally part of defecting to another party?
If they can go to court and swear to an affidavit of their defection, please what more? Do people just go to court to swear affidavit for fun?
Every political party has a roll of its members. This is what is legally recognized as the party's membership. If your name is not on the roll, then you are not a member of that party in the eye of the law. It's that simple.

Note that an affidavit is a tool not an end in itself. Meaning, an affidavit is to be used as a supporting document in the pursuit of a further final document or application. For instance, if you have lost your passport, an affidavit stating how you lost it is necessary for a fresh passport application, however, if tlyou never actually apply for the fresh passport, can you then go around claiming that your affidavit is as good as a new passport? Are you getting it?

Secondly, the validity of an affidavit is always contestable. For instance if I swear an affidavit claiming to be the owner of Aso rock, will you willingly buy it from me if I proposed a sale?

If we should be expecting law and order, then, the 27 members of the house of assembly suppose to have lost their identity since December 2023, if it is about law and order.
But it's been made clear that there is a legally recognized way to defect and since the persons in question merely claimed to have defected without going through this process, then by law they are not known to have been defected?

You talk like a Moro.n that is why I addressed you as such.

Now would a Moro.n base their research off snippets from Google? Yes they would. But like I said, the entire body of thought that opines that HIV can be passed through clippers comes almost entirely from Nigeria.

The screenshot below is taken from one of the resources you shared. Do you see how moronic your contributions here are when you look at the methodology for the research?

Now, share with us a single documented case of HIV transmission through clippers.

Lol. Some STDs are also transmitted through other means like sharp objects (blades, needles, clippers), blood transfusion, mother to child during child birth and so on. HIV and Hep B fall into this category. Be informed!

Where did you guys come from? A little Google search will prevent you guys from future regrets caused by ignorance.
Hospitals started using one needle per patient basically because of HIV and Hep B, yet they're STDs
Don't be a Moro.n. Of course needle use can also transmit most STDs however in the context of clippers this is not relevant and the underlying concept remains the same. Now note:, Needles are able to transmit these pathogens because

1. They are able to preserve blood and the pathogens in blood longer than if the blood was exposed to air.

2. They penetrate deep into blood stream, beyond the barriers of the skin.

Clippers cannot in anyway transmit any blood borne STD because they don't do the aforementioned.

This level of ignorance is only found in Nigeria.

I've always wondered what those pushing Fubara on think will happen eventually.

With the Courts currently agreeing that the pro Wike lawmakers did not validly defect, there is no way out for him now.

He will slowly but surely feel the weight of federal might. And this time there can be no complaints because the FG will be on the side of the law.

It's literally in the name: Sexually transmitted... So unless you have some weird fetish that involves doing unspeakable things with a pair of clippers, no you can't catch an STD from sharing clippers.

This same thing happens everyday in offices, market places, boardrooms, classrooms, on the roads between drivers an passengers and between car drivers and bus drivers .between police and citizens.

The house of rep guy did what every other Nigerian does. Infact based on some comments in this thread, some people would have done worse.

It is an everyday thing blown out of proportion by hypocrites. A minister of the federal Republic has said something worse than this but hypocrites never reacted. Asari Dokubo of recent said something worse but the inspector general never reacted
Well that's my point - people have chosen to make a big deal out of it even though so many other people do things like this and get away with it, for several reasons but mostly simply because the guy dared the IGP. And secondly because vdm is involved.

And you can't compare him with the likes of Dokubo. Dokubo is powerful - you can't go after him without Nigeria shaking small. This other guy is just a house of reps member, and one in the opposition at that, and a minor opposition party at that. To make matters worse, he also assaulted the guy on camera giving the police no excuse not to act.

Notice the uproar and nerve wrecking reaction over this case and compare it with the near silence of the same people when a code of conduct judge harassed a trade assistant at the popular Banex Plaza some few months ago and tell me some is not wrong with Nigerians
Well there are two main factors making this matter trend.

1. The MAN got arrested, which is because he dared the IGP not because of the act itself

2. Verydarkman is involved

Instead of giving answers to the questions raised by the Rep member about why our federal roads are in a worse state, he is busy engaging in a dick measuring contest.

Politics › Re: How Peter Obi Manipulated Nigeria System To Become Billionaire. by SmartyPants(m): 11:16am On Oct 28, 2024
muykem:
In 1993, Peter Obi was a protégé of Arthur Nzeribe in the Association for a Better Nigeria (ABN). They secured a midnight court injunction that nullified MKO Abiola's presidency. Obi personally delivered the court verdict to Nwosu and stopped the further announcement of the election results. This ultimately led to IBB stepping aside for Shonekan, in an arrangement with Abacha. Abacha became Head of State and expectedly did not forget Peter Obi's role ⁹ìin his ascension to power. As a reward, he tasked Obi with decongesting the Tin Can Island, where Obi made billions of Naira and subsequently became Chairman of Fidelity Bank.

Peter Obi reciprocated by joining others to convince Abacha, to transform from a military leader to a civilian President. His main contribution was bankrolling the formation of a Youths group called YEAA (Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha) headed by Daniel Kanu. The Group introduced the "One Million Man March" as a political campaign strategy in Nigeria. Peter Obi later adopted this strategy at the beginning of his presidential campaign in 2022. The Abacha project came to an end with the death of Abacha.

In 1998, when the ban on politics was lifted, Peter Obi became a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). This is the point that most people know as the begining of the political journey of Peter Obi.

History will not forget every role played by any human being.
Please share your sources, I would like to verify some of these claims.

All this sad.ist that are wondering how Obi keeps on soaring high & donating hundreds of millions to the public.
Let me school you about Peter Obi. Obi was a already a billionaire in his 30s. No presents Nigeria politicians will boast of not making their fortunes from politics except Peter Obi.

Now:
A little about HE Peter Obi

Obi headed a market management company that specialised in imports. He ushered in Heinz Salad Cream, Ovaltine, South African Breweries, and many more consumer brands into the Nigerian market. This is why he’s repeatedly bragged about his reputation as a “big trader”.

In the 1990s, Obi was the CEO of Next Nigeria International Ltd. He also founded the popular Next Cash and Carry which remains one of the largest indigenous retail malls in Nigeria.

By the time he became the governor of Anambra State in 2006, Obi was the chairman of 11 companies in Nigeria and abroad.

In the corporate world, Obi chaired four banks — Fidelity Bank Plc, Guardian Express Mortgage Bank Ltd, Future Views Securities Ltd, and Paymaster Nigeria Plc.

He was also a board member of Guardian Express Bank Plc, Chams Nigeria Plc, Emerging Capital Ltd, and Card Centre Plc.

“I was sitting on the board of three banks and was the chairman of one before I became a governor,” Obi said on Arise TV in 2021.

Peter Obi had major shares in the banks where he was a board member, and has invested in many more businesses over the years.
Why does Peter Obi's story always start in the 90s as the head of this marketing company, very shortly after which he became a billionaire? It's rather strange...we know how other billionaires go their starts...Where did Obi get his first 1 million naira? Between leaving and school and his appearance as the head of this marketing company, what was he doing?

Is it normal for a legitimate businessman to have left his business to go and work for a dictator like Abacha? And he became a billionaire around the same period??

A Federal High Court in Lagos Thursday adjourned the criminal case instituted against internet socialite Okechukwu Pascal, A.K.A Cubana Chief Priest, due to the prayer for a plea bargain he initiated with the EFCC.

At the resumption of trial on Thursday, Cubana Chief Priest’s counsel, Chikaosolu Ojukwu, informed Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the defendant’s intention to toe the path of plea bargain subject to Section 14 of the EFCC Establishment Act.

“We have looked at the charge under Section 14 of the EFCC Act, which encourages plea bargain agreements.

EFCC counsel Bilkisu Buhari confirmed the position.

In a criminal matter there is nothing like settling out of Court. What are you settling? You can only negotiate a plea bargain and to do that you must plead guilty. Any other arrangement is a blatant illegality.

He should get a better lawyer this time around and not plead guilty to anything. He should fight dirty till they drop the silly charges and stop the constant harassment. They left Cubana chief priest alone so why can’t they leave Bob alone even after a six month jail term?
This has nothing to do with money spraying. He has served his sentence already. This is about his claim that he did not serve his sentence at the appropriate place. Try to read and understand issues before commenting.

And BTW Cubana pleaded guilty too. He just got a plea deal that spared him jail time.
