cucumbar: this boy, you no smart at all. I wonder what smart is doing in your username.
Anybody wey open eyes vote for who Dey lick microphone or Dey support am is not smart.
You this clown, I've not seen you around in a while. How are you? Funny enough I didn't vote for Tinubu. But that information is not likely going to be useful to you so carry on.
Devil1Messenger: Lolz The person u quoted simply means Obi will manage Lagos resources for lagosians He wont be putting it in bullion vans to be sharing to touts to help him snatch ballot boxes Lagos would have been miles ahead now and even competing with major European cities now. Oga u dull
Oh of course, he won't put his loot in bullion vans. Obi is not that sophisticated. He would rather siphon it 250 million by 250 million via commercial vehicles as he did then, for onward transmission to his Pandora accounts. Not so? I put it to you authoritatively, you have nothing inside your skull.
Devil1Messenger: U are dull Is IGR a measure of development?
Hope u see how Tinubu is taxing everything, that was how he did in Lagos to raise IGR. A very dumb strategy that only make sense to foolish people like u. GDP, HDI those are the globally recognised indices for measuring development and Peter Obi dust fashola and Tinubu combined in those areas Any madman can come and start taxing every goat and fowl to raise IGR. That is what Tinubu did in Lagos and that is what he is doing in Nigeria now Hope u are enjoying the govt now Ozuor
Where did I cite IGR as an indicator of development? Do you have soggy bread where your brain is meant to be?? I clearly said Lagos is ahead by infrastructural development - do you not know what that means? And obviously, Lagos is far ahead of Anambra by GDP so I have no idea what point you think you're making. In fact, do you even really understand the concept of GDP? lol.
In your usual deceitful manner, now raising IGR via taxes is bad, but that is the same 1 trillion IGR the clown I mentioned referenced, that Obi would have managed well.
So on one hand you are arguing that Obi would have done much better with the imaginary 1 trillion, and on the other hand you are criticising the person who created those structures. Do you see how barren your covetuous mind is?
There is nothing worth reading in the rubbish that fellow wrote. To start with, as is the usual way with the Obidients, his entire message is based on a lie. Lagos does not have and has never had anywhere close to 1 trillion naira in IGR. The highest is 650bn or thereabouts of last year. and that is not even up to half a billion dollars. Again, claiming that there is nothing to show for it is a most unfortunate lie. Lagos is miles ahead of the rest of Nigeria in infrastructural development. Finally, it makes no sense to claim that a man who could not eradicate touts in his relatively small capital city would be able to do so in a city like Lagos that draws people from all over the country. This is a man who governed, Anambra, one of Nigeria's most productive States, but could not do anything to improve its IGR. A man who thinks governance is best proven by showing people the money you stashed underground (in his family's bank) when you ought to have shown how you increased the funds. Instead, it is to be chooking eye at what another man built, with all sorts of covetous daydreams of if Peter Obi had managed Lagos. Shame on you all.
I keep saying, Had it been Peter Obi was the governor of Lagos state...
No African mega city would have been able to come close.
The yorubas hyping Tinubu as their best shows how they love oppression and slavery. That's why one man has been deciding the governor of Lagos since he left the seat of Power.
This madness will never work in any SE/SS state.
How do you clap for a state that generates over 1T a year in IGR with nothing to show? 1 trillion is a whole lot of money, that you won't see 1 single agbero in a mega city. Things should work as seen in other climes.
I have Been to Cape Town, Kigali and Cairo. You will not find one single tout!!!
But Obi's Onitsha is the headquarters of touts in Nigeria. Or do you feel people dont travel to Anambra at all so you can talk anyhow??
If you are educated you should be ashamed of yourself for dropping this as a source. Are you not meant to ask this man too for his own source? Where did he get the market value of N54 per share??
SmartPolician: Peter Obi invested 1.9 billion of Anambra's money in SabMiller Brewery in the state. In less than 5 years, the shares grew to about N20 billion. Obiano came on board and didn't bother; he didn't sell those shares. Today, that investment is worth less than 100 million. Every state should be praying for a visionary leader like Peter Obi.
AlphaNugget: You are not getting it, how can you expect him to park out just at the expiration of his rent? Why not give him an extra 3 months' notice, the 3 months' notice will start counting from the day his rent expires.
You want to mislead this guy in the hopes of extracting a few pennies from him. Oncd a quit notice is validly served, there is no such additional 3 months.
We know una. Na so una throw Amaechi, Rochas, Ngige, Onu, Chimaroke, etc under the bus. No be una again. Anyway if una fit threw Yemi under the bus despite the little he was able do when Buhari was away, who una no go throw away.
Umahi go soon be IPOB according you im-p-s.
Shamelessness at its finest.
Despicable characters to say the least.
SmartyPants: Lol. I know what is really bothering you and it is not Umahi and whether anyone calls him IPOB. No, it is deeper and much more personal than that and I guess we both know where I'm coming from. My advice: ranting on Nairaland can't help you! Fighting online while you are docile in the real world can't help you either. Retrace your steps.
You hail Umahi now because he is doing your god's bidding.
I know that you never-do-wells will tell him that he is an IPOB when the time comes. Let him come out for the elections first.
Meanwhile, how many votes did you guys give him during the APC primaries. You knew he was good but sold your souls to the de-vil. Shamelessness at its best.
Lol.
Treasure17: You must be kidding. Where did you register at 10k? The least price you will ever get is 20k and now that it's compulsory, your guess is as good as mine.
That is if you're using an agent. If you do your business registration on your own what CAC charges is 10k.
Elusive001: I am already laughing at the insults you guys will dish out to Umahi when he comes out the contest for presidency tomorrow. It is then you guys will tell him that he is IPOB. For now, he is good because he does not question your god.
I'm here to provide information to counter certain misconceptions. That's for people who care for the truth. Why does that offend you? Does the gibberish you typed up there have any connection to the topic at hand?
tuzle: with the competition around the money they make isn't that much except u are in a open place. Some don't make up to 10k profit in a month.
Is there any business without competition? From what I've seen, at least here in Abuja, POS people are doing okay. And if it is sitting in a desolate place that would make one not see 10k in a month, then fortunately, POS is a highly portable business. You can carry your kiosk and go to a better location. As at the last time I asked, the one in my street was doing 150k monthly, although this was 2022.
zedegit: You sabi how many months e go take some of them to recover abi nobi you go feel am if di price rise?
Multiply #10 000 by 1 million and know weda you don see that kain money for ya life.
I know say POS dem suppose reach 10 million at least as jobs no dey
I have a friend who owns a POS business with 3 operators under him. I also spoke extensively to the one on my street when I considered adopting the same model. If you see people sitting down there all day to give you money don't think it is because they have nothing else to do. There is money in the business even if it is not so much. They can afford 10k. And btw, each of those machines costs 25 - 250k (at least as of 2022) so its laughable to complain about 10k.
kenn4rill: Always looking for any available means of frustrating businesses, even the least POS business sef Dem done dey put eyes. Very wicked government
How does CAC registration of 10k [with a two-month period of grace], amount to frustrating POS operators? Mention one country you know where people do business without registering first.
What's the fate of those roadside kiosk POS shops or those shops that just combine the POS biz with their main business, and don't make up to 1k per day?
How they wan take see money to register?
Lol do you know how much a single POS machine costs? Any business that doesn't make up to 1k a day can never afford one. Where do you people get these figures from?
We're there other structures there that were left? Yes.
Did it affect his business radically? Yes
Is he trying to use the remaining building to stay afloat and not loose a $200m investment? Yes.
Did he refund customers already? Yes.
This agenda will not agend sè
Stop it. He has only a few customers who were affected by the demolition. As he has refunded them, he himself has been/will be compensated. The disruption to his business is less than 20%, unfortunately after having given the impression that the entire place was brought down, he now has to fight to get back customers who believe the place is down. Paul Onwuanibe is a great guy but I don't know why he decided to play this script.
Also, he himself has said the investment is a 100m thing so why are you still peddling that imaginary 200m figure? Do you see that you're the one with an agenda?
cyrusmillz: Awon were meji The chimp is actually quite popular and I've seen it in another video making the same poses with another woman Seems he was trained for this and the women too will be smiling sheepishly ... smh
Obviously he has been trained to do this. Notice the white man off the camera that pushed him toward the lady
nedu666: Nation that cannot provide his citizens with light, fuel, cheap food, quality healthcare is talking about demarketing. When world Bank ranked Nigeria has the 9th poorest nation with over 133 million people living in abject poverty. What were they doing? Upmarketing Nigeria.
Nigeria is the world's 46th poorest nation not 9th. Are you misrepresenting some other statistic??
Slytiger: What does Yemi know. Since when did she become an expert in town planning and environmental management?
Below is same Yemi Alade complaining about flooding 2 years ago. Government is now trying to contain the flooding by demolishing houses built on canals, flood plains, and natural drainage, yet she is complaining.
I don't find most celebrities' opinions worthy of comment. These ones should simply be ignored. For her to wake up and imagine that peoples homes are being demolished because the government just feels like it, you really have to wonder.
Remote jobs are just like regular jobs. Some good, some bad. There are definitely really great employers out there, so keep at it and ensure to keep improving yourself with evidence. You'll get a better job soon.
Racoon: "...At a time in which the economy is bleeding profusely, there must be better areas to plough our little resources into, not coastal roads. In fact, the over N77 trillion debt and 96 per cent of total revenue to service it, alongside the criminal negligence of our roads, are sufficient red flags against this super highway now..."
Just imagine what Nigeria will incur to service the loan that will be collect for this controversial project - at a whooping 96% rate. Remember debt servicing is not debt repayment. Meanwhile there are other more pressing national issues than these coastal roads. Investors are fleeing away and the economy is stagnating.
I've told you to stop being a bush man. Stop it now! You read an article that talked about Nigeria's loan profile and understood it to mean the cost of this road in particular, even when the actual cost has been mentioned in the article.
jiz: This government want to use anything to suppress the truth from people and call it cyber bullying. This guy is saying the truth and take that to bank. You increased the price of everything, pay some online miscreants to hail your poor policies and you want people not to talk? Nonsense....this is democracy faa
But you just read that it was the same government that ammended the Law to remove those provisions he was talking about.
