Are you also aware that there are many movies with directors' cuts or you just feel like commenting like you guys always do... Directors' cuts do not necessarily mean the first releases were bad always.. They are often times released for extra profit making or for higher sales of their dvd and blu-ray sales too... Hope you are aware that even the super talented, the very much topnotch directors like James Cameron, Peter Jackson and even Richard Donner Superman 2 also had directors' cuts.. Use the internet is your friendly neighbour please.

The highest grossing period for the DCEU was 99% under the dark and gritty and I did not read nor hear where people who love those movies complained about box office numbers aside those poo eaters who wanted everything to look like rainbow and cracking jokes like junkies on steroids...

Yes Synder movies were more matured than your average Superhero film. Yes they were dark and gritty which means they won't appeal to younger people like 7 years old kids. I would say the Synder movies were made for an older audience, at least 16 years upwards.

Synder movies are one of the few CBM where heroes don't live in a vacuum. We see how regular people in the world react to heroes. It took Marvel until Civil War to explore this. Examples The US army didn't even care to know who the bad guy was between Superman and Zod, they just started shooting at everyone in cape.

Superman is also hated for the casualties that happened at battle, he even had to stand trial.

We see people terrified about Batman. Some people think he's an urban legend, while people who have encountered him think his a spawn of the devil.

On Batman himself, the guy is highly damaged. He's an alcoholic who has terrible nightmares (Yeah the nightmares are just to further the plot). He's been fighting crime in Gotham for over 20 years. He's seen people he thought were good turn to bad guys. He's had his Robin slaughtered by the Joker. At this point he's no longer disillusioned that he's a hero. He knows he's a criminal that goes after other criminals.

How many superhero movies have ever explored these themes? Please mention 5 of them for me, or these are not matured movie themes for you?

Also out of all the points I raised you could only criticise one? Do you agree the costumes were deliberately designed to sell Toys? Do you agree having comedy scenes in the middle of a battle like MCU always does makes the battle feel like there are no stakes involved? Do you agree that we don't necessarily need an origin movie for every hero including the lesser known heroes before we see them team up together? This in particular was one of the biggest criticism of the Synderverse. Everyone wanted him to just copy Marvel's template.

Apart from the fights with Thanos. Tell me 5 Superheroe movies where you watched it and truly believed the fate of the world or city it at stake in the battle. Obviously you can't mention because one minute they are fighting, the next minute they are behaving like Tom and Jerry

Another funny thing here is, many complains of Zack's BvS having too many cameo even before the movie was released, but Gunn is absolutely doing worse now and those same complainers are busy praising him ironic, right

Gunn is gradually inculcating his GotG ideas into this Superman costume, and we should tight our seatbelt for more.

I keep telling people that to make a Superman movie that will be good and also please almost everybody is near impossible because of his unique persona and power attributes... Just now now, people have started nitpicking on why is Superman feeling relaxed to put on his boot while the world is burning.. Gunn go hear am, na the boat him don enter too since him sabi talk well well make him ready to explain taya to people..and please nobody should try to play the blame game when people who dislike this cosplay come full all out on it because they have done worse...

The problem with the DCEU then was that it was too plot driven. It wasn't the dark tone or light tone. That was the misconception. It didn't have character moments that weren't reliant on just moving the plot but getting audiences to actually care about the characters. I didn't feel the love between Lois and Clark, we didn't even get to know Clark or Lex or Batman. Why Wonder Woman was liked was cause it had these moments. Same with the first Aquaman film.
Look at The Boys for example, that show is dark and people love it. Cause it's character driven. Same with Gen V.
Now, the mistake WB made was trying to make the Franchise like Marvel rather than correct the narrative style.
Now, we have to agree that Zack Snyder's weakness is, he isn't good at fleshing a story that surrounds around characters. He is more of the aesthetic and action director. He is not strong on story. That was what killed BvS and MOS. And to be fair, Henry Cavill was lame in MOS. He got better in BvS. Or maybe it was the direction. His Clark and Superman were just robots. He barely had facial expressions to contribute to his performance.

A lot of problems with the DCEU and WB was the chief architect of it. They should have had better script writers and not had Snyder build the universe. I feel they could have had a writer or two to carve out the plan and work it with directors who will then bring their own styles into the films.

The biggest mistake is trying to throw tv/series into a conversation where they aren't suppose to be... A series can't be compared to movies because tv/series can get away with so many things that movies can't. Let them try The boys as just a standalone movie and watch how it goes... Their are so many flaws in tv/series that audience can easily let go because their are still much room and time to make up for those flaws and series are meant to work with mini budgets, lesser vfx etc...so when a series breaks such boundaries then people tend to invest more of their time on it because what they are actually seeing now looks different. Whereas movies are expected to be so.

I still don't understand what you mean by Henry was lame (as Superman) in MoS.. I guess you judging from the angle of Christopher Reeve's Superman, because from what I have come to know their are 100s of version or alteration of Superman out there and I don't think many of us have read up to 20 different versions for us to completely say he was lame in MoS... I think somebody answered this same question on MoS being lame/bad perfectly on Quora site and even gave the actual version that Henry Cavill's Superman was actually portraying. Maybe if I get hold of that excerpt (again) I will paste it here...
Yes, their are/were flaws in both movies, but the bulk of the blames should go to WB for trying to be faster than their shadows in everything...
Even the best story tellers and writers will suffer almost the same fate as Snyder if their works are being heavily meddled with...
