Madam don't compare men & women of this present day to paul & mother theresa. Their intentions for leading a single life was entirely for God's work. But we know the present day man & woman lacks interest in marriage because of their nasty & uncouth attitude. Every marriage requires some level of tolerance & humility, which they obviously lack. The bible condemns cohabitation. U can't be preaching what the bible condemns & at the same time making reference to the bible to buttress it. Or u think those condemning marriage can live a life of pure celibacy?

The measurement of a pure concrete is in the ratio of 1:2:4.
1 is one head pan of cement(half bag of cement)
2 is two head pan of sharp sand
4 is four head pan of granite.
To mix a concrete by mixing machine:
1) First put 20 litres of water into the machine,
2) put 1 head pan of cement(half bag),
3) put 2 head pan of sharp sand,
4) put 4 head pan of granite,
and the machine will mix it all together.
To mix by hand:
Measure 7 head pan of sharp sand,put 1 bag of cement and mix it together with a shovel,after mixing put 5 head pan of granite and spread it on it,put 50 litres of water to it and mix to form a paste.
FAQ: Why is measurement of granite for mixing machine is more than mixing by hand?
ANS: Because mixing machine will mix it very well(continuos rotating) to quickly form a paste than mixing by hand.

3. Material prices (sharp sand - 4500, gravel - 12k, plaster - 4500, block - 90ngn, iron rods are offcuts bought from iron rod manufacturing company in Ogijo, Ogun state, roofing wood (fadala), 0.35mm gauge roofing Aluminium sheet and so many cost shaving methods were adopted.
4. No German Floor but block holes were filled with pure water satchet and blinded with cement and sand.
5. Using 6 inches block means less cement and sand usage.
6. Precast lintels instead of the traditional lintel construction
7. Sliding window without net. Net installed separately.
8. Used 12mm iron rods for the burglar proof window.
9. Panel doors from Ijebu Ode with frames
10. Tiles in the living room and normal Screeded floor in other rooms.
11. Buried 2000 liters GP tank for the septic tank and installed one well ring for the soakaway. All this less than 45k
12. Asbestos ceiling in all room except living room. Ceiling noggin at 2 x 4 on the exteriors and 4 x 4 in the interiors.
13. Used block construction for the kitchen cabinet with only the front covered up.
14. Used soil excavated from the septic tank and soakaway for Sandfilling the building.
15. And so many other cost saving methods were explored.

Oga slaw12, anything is possible if you really want to achieve it. No deception. If you go the same route, you'll see that you can drive down your cost by 40-45%

Men and women have different physical and emotional build. Men tend to be taller, stronger and more aggressive. Women are more gentle, weaker and tend to be shorter. I can only agree with gender equality to the extent that women are given the same chances to occupy posts filled by men in the academia, sports, government etc. But I do not agree with the premise that men and women are equal. One can build a new house on top of an existing foundation, the real question is should one build on an old foundation? 15yrs is quite a long time, more than a decade. what is the current state of the existing foundation. Are there visible signs of undermining; cracks, is it broken, is it crumbling, These are important questions that you might require an engineer’s report to tell.

Since the size, shape and layout of the existing foundation conform to what the client want to build, it maybe ok if the foundation is still in a good state. But building on an existing foundation could limit you and waste potential wonderful views or cause you to lose privacy.

Personally I'll advise a new one, because u wouldn't know the spacing & type of rebars that is in the existing one, though considering building on existing foundation maybe due to financial constraint, it's always better to start building from foundation, except structures were detailed documentation is available, should incase any issue comes up....

This is entirely not true.
Usage of DPM depends on the land, swampy, water table & all that. It's mainly recommended for waterlogged areas. Though it's preferable to use it regardless of the land, but it can still be compromised like hardcore & wiremesh, if the building is on a dry land....

About 12 out of the 20 short column was boarded and cast today using a mix ratio of 1:4:4 ( due to the size of the coarse aggregates)
The short/foundation columns have varying height due to the topography of the site.

Nice & neat job as usual... U're good. But what is the size of the coarse aggregate? That made u use 1:4:4? I presume 3/4? is the end result as solid as the conventional mix ratios...

About 50bags of cement.
Workmanship/ labour depends on the location, since it's 6'' block, it should be around 40/50 naira per block or 3k per day for 80blocks, depending on your negotiating power. Labour should be around 1500 or 2000 naira per day. Like I said, depending on the location...

And no. A husband and wife are not equal, biblically. You donot submit "in all things" to someone you are equal to. The way I see it, one is either a christian who lives by the Bible or an athiest/non practising christian who lives by common sense. No middle grounds. A real christian woman must submit to her husband always, hence not equal to him.

Now, my question is; what if my husband wants me to do something that is obviously a sin? At what point does one say no to submission without going against God's word?

God is too pure to identify with sin, likewise anything inspired of him, when he said submit to your husband in all things, as a christian u should know he was talking about the good things. Your father ask u to prepare a meal, u refuse. A husband tells his wife to prepare a meal for the family, she refuse, just to prove she's equal to her husband, she starves the family & commits disobedience, which violate's God's command, because what the husband asked of her wasn't against God's command. But when a man tells his wife to sleep with his friend, it's expected of the wife to say NO, because it's adultery, it violate's God's command.

I really don't like it when I see feminists dragging God's name into their pride motivated rebellious ideologies. Feminists are bereft of humility, they don't have a modicum of it.
