This is so sad...Knew he would not get a favourable judgment from the disciplinary body.
Sports / Olympique Marseille Sacks Evra by snapatini(m): 6:40pm On Nov 10, 2017
The embattled former French player and Olympique Marseille player has been sacked from the Olympique Marseille team. It will be recalled that Patrice Evra kicked a fan who was alleged to have attacked him and said some words to him last week during warm up in preparation for a game.
atrice Evra's contract has been terminated by Marseille after he was banned until June 2018 for kung-fu kicking a fan.

The former France captain was sent off before Marseille's Europa League defeat against Vitoria on November 2 after lashing out at a supporter who Evra claimed was abusing him.

UEFA charged Evra under article 15 of their disciplinary regulations, which deals with the misconduct of players, banning him from their club competitions until June.
And Marseille quickly followed news of his suspension by terminating his contract with immediate effect.

A statement published on Marseille's website read: "Patrice Evra has been exemplary on the field and in the locker room. He played an important role in reviving the team and in the improvement of results.

"However, on November 2 in Guimaraes he committed an irreparable act by responding to provocations from a handful of individuals.

"Nothing justified such a reaction, especially from a senior player whose attitude both on and off the pitch should inspire the youngest of us.
"In that context, the conditions were no longer right for Patrice Evra to accomplish his mission here with serenity or, above all, effectively.

"Both parties agreed to end the collaboration by mutual consent.

"This incident also highlighted the unacceptable attitude of a small number of people who uttered insults and threats of violence towards the player and his family before contemptuously invading the pitch.

"Such behaviour, which exposes the club to sanctions, has no place in the stands of a football stadium and at Marseille in particular."

Patrice Evra- Marseille full-back sets unwanted Europa League record. 2017/11/02
Patrice Evra has become the first player in Europa League history to be sent off before the start of a game after he attacked a fan on Thursday night. The France international did not make it to the start of the game as his side, Marseille faced Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal. Footage appeared to show the 36-year-old defender aiming an acrobatic kick at a fan on a sideline of the pitch during the warm-up.Reports from the scene claim that Marseille fans, who are unhappy with Evra’s level of performance this season, broke through the stadium barriers to confront him, prompting his violent outburst. He was red-carded before the kick-off, and his side started with 11 players.
Uefa disciplinary body will review the case on Friday.

Mr Seun please take this to front page...its the latest transfer news.
Sports / Mancity Signs John Stones by snapatini(m): 12:54pm On Aug 09, 2016
Manchester City has completed the signing of John Stones from Everton in a £47.5m deal on a six-year contract.

The fee, which makes Stones the most expensive defender in Premier League history, will increase to £50m with add-ons.

Sky sources understand the deal was done between the two clubs on Monday night. City's squad have been given the day off on Tuesday so Stones will not meet his new team-mates until Wednesday.

The news comes after what a City source admitted was an administrative error on Tuesday morning when Stones was named in the club's Champions League squad, which was published on the UEFA website.

Everton thwarted Chelsea's persistent attempts to sign Stones last season.

Stones appeared on Manchester City's squad list on the official website
The transfer will also benefit Barnsley, who have confirmed they included a sell-on clause when they sold Stones to Everton. The exact amount they will receive has not been disclosed.

Stones told the club's website: "I'm absolutely delighted to sign for City and now the deal's done I'm looking forward to the next stage in my career.

John Stones says he can't wait to play for Man City after completing his move from Everton
"I've obviously seen what's going on here at the Etihad, it's an ambitious Club with a great manager so I can't wait to get stuck in and help achieve the goals.

"I know it will be tough getting a place in this team but I'm determined to become the best player I can be and help us.
"I had a wonderful time with Everton and wish them and their fans all the best but now I'll give my all for City."

City boss Pep Guardiola added: "We want to help John show his quality with us and improve on what he has already achieved.

"I like the way he plays the game and I'm looking forward to welcoming him into the squad."

Stones, who will take squad No 24, becomes City's eighth signing of the summer transfer window, following Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Aleksandar Zinchenko, Aaron Mooy, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno

United sign Pogba

Manchester United is delighted to announce that Paul Pogba has completed his transfer from Italian club Juventus. Paul joins on a five-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year.
Pogba was signed for a record fee of £89m, subject to increase as a result of add-ons and bonuses.
Paul, 23, has been with Juventus for four seasons, making 124 appearances and scoring 28 goals. He joined the Bianconeri from United in 2012.

The midfielder has been capped by France on 38 occasions, scoring 6 goals and was a member of the recent squad that reached the final of Euro 2016.

Paul Pogba said:

“I am delighted to rejoin United. It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with José Mourinho. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends. But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford. I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can’t wait to make my contribution to the team. This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game.”

José Mourinho said:

“Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the United team I want to build here for the future. He is quick, strong, scores goals and reads the game better than many players much older than he is. At 23, he has the chance to make that position his own here over many years. He is young and will continue to improve; he has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond.”
