1. After her 3 months maternity leave, her mom will still be around till the baby is a bit strong for daycare.
2. Raising family is not a career nor a full time job, it's an obligation attached to parenthood. A man gat to do what he gat to do. Likewise a woman

im sorry to say, that isnt thinking it through, i have an experience of a couple currently facing this challenge, the husband wants her to resign to take care of the baby, and she is holding so much resentment towards him right now.

another colleague of mine, doesnt see her children till weekend, reason being that she leaves the home before they wake up and gets home wen they are fast asleep, shes is a stranger in her home, hence my reason for creating this thread isnt it better to address this fully prior to marriage or like my case just go for a chic with a less demanding job undecided

richyblink1: Think you are still having difficulty understanding the real meaning of marriage, commitment, togetherness and sacrifice.

I and my better half works in the aforementioned sector. She comes back later than you mentioned because of tràfic and the section she works. I on the other hand closes around 5:30/6 daily, and gets home latest 6 because of proximity.

For the past 1year, i take care of meals and house chores from Monday to Friday, while she take over Saturdays and Sundays. I have never complained or grumble. I always feel on top of the world while cooking for her. You need to see the type of prayers and peck I get each time she comes home to see that I have washed the dishes and prepare dinner for her. Not minding the fact that I have to stay hungry most times till she returns so we can eat together.

Broo, if you truly understand the rudiments of love, marriage and togetherness, you will notice one thing, Sacrifice (tolerance, endurance and selflessness)

tanx bruv, this is the kind of insightful post i'm looking for. i have a question or two

1. whats your take on having children? who looks after them?
2. would you/her sacrifice career over raising the family? or just sacrifice family over career

Now he is dating a career lady. Chai.

dear NL peeps,
I have been in a relationship with a hawtiepie, truth is ive been really kinda busy, so i maximize my free tyme to be with her, however it jst occurred to me that she is also very busy, even busier than I. now here lies the challenge, she works late evry day i.e 8pm (it also takes like 2hrs to get home), and gets called to the offices on saturday at least twice a month, sometimes on sunday shocked.
I planned to settle down with her but with this her busy schedule, I am having serious second thots, I practically will be living with a stranger, secondly who will take care of the Children when they eventually come.

pls if you are/have similar challenges, kindly share, also do you advise i break-up, cos i cant deal with this right now sad.

.......yeah- she works in the banking sector

idumuose: Buhari is 74years or thereabout, next year(2015) he will be 75.If he is defeated in 2015and i am sure he will, his next chance to contest is 2019.Buhari would be 79+ in 2019 and it's only a foolish party that would allow him fly it's presidential flag.

This is the time for him to fight dirty as it were to clinch APC ticket.Goodluck to him.
hmmm this is a sign
79, @2019.....
9 is a special number
APC * PDP =9 i.e multiplying the number of letters
NIGERIAN= 9 letters
President= 9 letters
....Buhari to win the presidential elections in 2019

sai Buhari 2019 sure pass grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Abeg , guys as you can note the time of posting 11.50pm...this post is really serious.

im in a fix at the moment, yeah got a serious gf, but the thing is she wants to own me shocked,

she calls me every other sec, expecting me to return calls and wen i dont she calls to ask why.

she compares my commitment to her with my job shocked, saying im more committed to the office.

she's upset if i dont spend enough time with her, knowing fully well, that my schedule is demanding

she never keeps to time on dates sad

pls im abt done with her but i need an opinion if all "serious" relationships are like this, or its jst peculiar to her cos i cant deal ryt now- i'm so used to my space,

or i've i become a serial bachelor sad

By the way, if anyone on this forum has the ears of any top-ish NMA members, please beg them to strongly consider shelving their strike for now. I will also be doing the same. What looms before us is a national emergency of truly unprecedented proportions, and I think history will judge NMA harshly, unless they lead us to face it.

sowii, on the contrary the "good doctors" will postpone dia strike for longer "till d coast is clear--wu wan die
Politics / Re: "Follow The Money"! GEJs onslaught on GMB! by snthesis(m): 1:46am On Jul 24, 2014
Sloan: "Follow the money"! When crime does occur, this is all you have to do to find with 99% certainly who is the criminal or culprit. This is what the US, UK, etc do to find criminals with minimal time by just narrowing down the search parameters. In a nutshell, who has the most to gain from the crime? That person or people are most likely behind it.

In the bombing attack today on General Buhari, who has the most to gain from his death? Jonathan and the PDP! They are the ones who are trying everything to kill off opposition so that they could easily steal the 2015 elections! Who has the wherewithal to kill off investigation? Kill off any report? GEJ with the illegal use of official powers. I put it to all Nigerians and the world that GEJ is behind the attack on Buhari and Boki Haram! He has the most to gain from his death and the division in Nigeria!

contrary GEJ has the most to lose with the staged managed bombing of GMB. GMB is almost certain to win the APC presidential primaries-which is a gift to PDP grin and why wud GEJ want to loose that advantage
