Well, Glo blocked blackberry apn on other phones, but Glo is also performing another magic. Without subscribing to any data bundle, if you try "gloflat" apn, your phone credit will go for it, unlike before when automated SMS will tell you to subcribe to data bundle.

Implication of this is that, if u subscribe to normal data bundle, and your data finished without you knowing then your credit will be sapped. This has been Airtel way of life, I wonder who thought Glo the same method

Did you mean "Tweak"? or Tweet?... I never heard any "tweet" improve network connection. But I knew tweaks that enhance Wifi reception.

If you mean "tweak", then search for Wifi-booster on Cydia.

On App that improve battery life: Buy BattSaver on Cydia, but understand how it works before you go for it. Also, learn to Kill your running background application to improve your phone battery life.

Don't be sad. Most people experienced difficulty at first, me too. I'm sure it will connect, just continue to try. Glo BIS is still working.

Exit your modem UI and eject from ur PC.
Re-connect modem to PC and wait for the GUI to load, see if your modem can see either Edge or 3G signal.
Connect via apn profile you created for Glo-Bis, i.e blackberry.net

sun_temi: You need to use iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.1 to understand what I'm saying. It can make you hate iPhones if you've never used an iPhone before. And Bold 2 is the best blackberry ever made.

If her 3Gs is factory unlock without the weird iPad Baseband, then upgrading should be easy, else someone need to do it for her.

I've not been able to connect, it just keep disconnecting. I already created another browsing profile with blackberry.net as the APN.

Pls my fellow NLder gurus, what sld I do to b able to connect?

After setting-up ur apn, reboot the phone. If it PC completely exit the modem UI and eject the modem from PC, then reconnect it again.
I believe it should work afterward.
I just subscribed a new Glo sim, activation still pending, but I have started browsing with it for close to one day already.

Tuma, SSD is a Solid State Drive, which is faster than classical HDD. When I mean fast, very very fast. SSD is the only drive than can cope with LTE network speed conveniently when talking about data transfer.

Your normal HDD have a spinning drum inside, no matter how compact it was, SSD is not.

Kasiye: What's the disadvantage of OTA upgrade? iTunes is usually slow for me.

Shsh blob from OTA upgrade is not the real ramdisk image of the iOS version. The real ramdisk image is only obtain during iTune restore using the complete ipws file.
Hence, when need arises to use shsh blob, the one from OTA will do you no good.

2BdBest: I just got a white Iphone 4 that is supposed to be unlocked. It was apparently used on AT&T in the US. When I insert an MTN sim into the tray, it comes up with the Invalid SIM error message. I checked the status of the phone on the IMEI.info site and its status is unlocked.

Could the phone still be locked to AT&T or what could be the problem? It is using OS 5.1.1 with firmware 04.12.01.

You can RE-restore with redsnow on 5.1.1
After unlocking sometimes, it may require you to restore (based on experience), but be careful not to go to iOS 6 if you still need untether jailbrake.

As you can see from the attached pic, you phone is unlocked already.

If you don't know what shsh blob is, then you shouldn't be UPDATING the iphone yourself.
I will suggest you contact a person close who can do it for you.

AirBlue crack is prone to many issues. You are even lucky it worked with your Nokia and BB.

Read the thread from the beginning, it is very explitic.

1. Be sure Glo Bis is activated on your glo sim
2. Go to your Mobile data of your HTC, create a new profile, name it anything your want.
3. For your new profile,
do apn:blackberry.net
user: (leave it blank)
password : (leave it blank)
4. Save the setting.
5. Choose the new created setting as your default connection.
6. Restart the phone or Go Airplane mode ON then OFF
Check to see if you can browse and check if your credit is missing

Who ever dream Apple can be selling their phone to other operators outside US so soon?
I dream of a day Apple iOS shall be pre-rooted. That is, iOS having option for the user to be Admin during set-up.

1. Use may use Snowbreeze to create custom firmware for iOS 5.1.1, then use iReb to put the phone on DFU mode.

OR

2. Follow instruction on 6.15 downgrade, then install 5.1.1 with your iTunes host pointing to Cydia. You got to reflash 6.15 baseband to install ultrasnow for unlock.

If you don't mind, why not find out what it will take to Permanently Unlock the phone and safe yourself all the sweat in the future iOS update, u can then downgrade the 6.15 baseband, and start updating your device without hassle.
