Even battery issue on Blackberries are corrected with software updates without changing battery, iPhone 3Gs got same problem, it was solved without battery-swap.
iPhone 4s got massive battery-drain at launch, it was solved with software update.

Maybe it was like that for iPhone 4 cos after launch of iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0 which came with issue you mentioned, i rarely come across any iPhone 4 with that firmware 4.0.0

In the iphone 4 a simple phone casing solved the issue thus a court ruling in the US mandating Apple to provide free casings to all iphone 4 users.
How could a software upgrade solve a hardware issue? Pls don't mind my stone age brain, its still running DOS

My only facts: I started using my iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3, up till now no problem with reception or drop calls. My colleagues in office got non too.

I was amazed to see chinco iPhone 4s last week both buyer and the seller have never seen a real iPhone before, That makes the situation very complex.

You may then navigate to the iTune folder on your PC, copy the ipa into a save place.

You don't need BlackBerry Desktop Manager to load a new BB OS.
Navigate to apploader in your PC. e.g C/Program Files/Common/Research In Motion/Apploader/loader.exe
You are good to go.

I got solution finally to the iPhone-4, the battery is dead, (even when it is showing over 90%, no matter how I charge it after I squeezed her out of sleep mode) hence it can't boot, with no re-boot, it can't complete restore. Booting itself take chunk of the battery power, with insufficient power from the battery the CMOS shut the phone.

It all depends on what you want, but here are my favourites:

cydia (dot) hackulo (dot) us ----> Best place to download your installous, AppSync and their dependecy libraries
repo (dot) insanelyi (dot) com---> I'm still looking for a way to eliminate it due to many theme updates, but get many good tweaks too.
sinfuliphonerepo (dot) com

Most of the repos will give you same thing, you may even limit your additional repos to two.
Hundreds of Theme updates are the main cause of your data consumptions on Cydia, hence avoid repo with tonnes of themes.

The hurrible battery life of 9900/9930 was solved by Leaked OS 7.1.0.267 update, you need to give a try. grin

My battery drain per hour is stable at 3.2%/hrs unlike 9.7%/hrs on stock OS 7.0

Yes. I used for 5 months before my wife hijacked it from me for Valentine.
Personal experience:
It is heavier compared to 9930 I'm using now. It is not as fast as 9930, I don't know of 9900
It is generally a nice phone too with 8GB internal memory like other OS 7 phones.

My research so far,i discovered about 4 pple were able to revived theirs using this os: 'find a leaked version of 7.0.0.540 (this is a MUST) and install it'
i downloaded d OS it didnt work for me.
am always stucked at re-connecting to JVM.Can't go further

I got this type of problem while running two OS on PC in parallel. The both window and Linux are claiming the USB port while BB is trying to connect to JVM. VMware and Other Parallel OS program will give you headache loading BB OS firmware, I have experience that MANY times.

Just be sure, another device is not trying to use the same USB port. Another program that may do that is your BB Destop Manager. Check to see your BB Desktop manager icon disappear completely from icon tray before running your apploader for the BB OS install. or remove any other USB devices like modem before you start.
If it won't work, uninstall your BB Desktop Manager and try again or change your PC
Let me know how it goes.

I added BB to my phones to reduce my monthly internet subscription cost.
I spent close to 10k. monthly both for my mobile devices and home PC, but with my BB of Full BIS of 3k, I can achieve a lot.

I use data up to 18GB monthly or more with my 3k. and I don't need to carry my Laptop around while travelling, a risk on it own.

Even when you buy knife to help with your kitchen activities, some use the same knife to kill, that will not be reason for me to dispose knife from my kitchen.

Some get BB to "belong", some ping their future with it, but we should learn to live within our means, that should be the Lesson for everyone.

Cydia eats your data if you get many repos.
I have learn that to reduce my additional repos to 4.

No doubt you could be right on that one! I downloaded ober 2gb with the I500 subscription on MTN but i recently received the notice of 200Mb for that plan. Since i dont plan to steal in this life and anytime soon i rather have to go to Glo CoMonth!

Under compressed data technology of BB, a 60MB compressed data is going for around 250 - 260 MB real data, meaning 200MB MTN is offering might be going for over 1GB real time data.

Anyway, you got nothing to worry using FULL BIS service of UNlimited download from MTN ( if you get 3G or 4G in your area).
The only problem I got with Glo is constant BB signal outage, which always interrupt my downloads.

I have used Glo, zain and MTN subscription (Full BIS)
With my experience, I'm sticking with MTN. Why?

I'm downloading anything downloadable. Some pay for 6GB monthly for N7,500, but with my N3,000 BIS for MTN, I can download above 10GB with my busy schedule, If I'm less busy, I planning to get above 15GB mark on my BB.

It all depends on what work best for individual.

If you are looking for MyWi alternative use Tetherme (Not for iPad anyway). From personal experience Pdanet is only good for USB tethering, but Tetherme is better option for wireless tethering.

GTBank VISA ($) is acceptable on amazon. I have been using it for close to 2 years now.

Buy what makes your day-to-day activities easier, not because some are using it for show.
About the battery-life of BB9810, I use mine for 3-days not charging. Most battery problems on BB are usually cos by either your firmware or social-network base applications.
