No harm trying, in as much you don't restore from backups and Spotlight Search disable. Personally, I don't even a jaibreak for now.

When dealing with Apple products, please always buy factory unlocked iphone, unless you are receiving it as a gift.
Just need to be a little patience a solution to iPhone 4s will come soon.

Iphoners,
if you ever install iOS 5.0.1 and experiencing battery drain, try this it works for me.
Goto General-->Spotlight search, then uncheck all the items.
Note: Only install if you are factory unlock and not looking for Jailbreak!

I mistakenly bought and ipad 2 on verizon 3g wirelss for someone . Only to learn later that it works only on CDMA and has no sim slot, does anyone know if it could be configured to work on starcomms or visafone thanks.

Easy way for you is to tether your CDMA connection on Starcomms via Wifi. Then activate wifi on your iPad to get the connection.
How to do wifi tethering depends on your Laptop or Desktop system?. If your are using Apple Mac, the Wifi is inbuilt with wireless router, hence any connection on ur Mac can be turn to Wifi in less than a minute.
But if you are using Normal Laptop, you will need wireless router, a very long way indeed.

Note: While using Greenpois0n, your computer need to be connected to internet, cos the main jailbreaking data need to be downloaded during the jailbreak. That is the only reason I personally don't like Greenpois0n.

(If your iPad has been jailbroken before, with your SHSH blob saved upto 4.3.3, just create Custorm ipsw for 4.3.3 and point ur host to Cydia, but if not, it is GREENPOIS0N).

Can Nigeria minister of foreign affair take a serious look into the condition of Nigerians living in Thailand, we are facing serious problem here, there is a particular man called UWAABU PAW PAW, by Nigerians leaving in Thailand. He is operating within sukumvit,onut and environs, any Nigerian that come into the country must know him because he hate Nigerians with passion, he does whatever he want with Nigerians which he can not do same to other nationality, to the extent that if he wish he will just drop drugs into your pocket and ask for bribe and if one can not provide that means you are going to jail. Please this is an SOS to Nigerian Government to look into this matter with seriousness.

Very good intentions, but before international communities starts treating us with dignity, the way we treated ourselves matters.
When immigration and customs in our Airports are treating fellow Nigerians shamefully in order to extort money from innocent people. Apple can Block your phone serial number or UDID if reported stolen.
Unlocking is just accessing network on your iPhone.

So, which one, are you Unblocking or Unlocking?

By circulating tweets, FB posts, BB Msges, etc. informing Nigerians to refrain from loading recharge cards from the target network just for 60days, , I tell you, they will come to our terms by force!

Ok, You may need to re-jailbreak. I don't know if the New Redsn0w will do for iOS 3.x.x because I learn the system key to all previous ipsw has been updated into it.
Let me do some search, I will get back to you.

1. First make sure there is working Internet connection on your iPad:
2. Open your Cydia, allow Cydia to load and set-up all your file system.
3. When Cydia finished loading, check if u see any red-badge signifying a needed update. Try to update by clicking on it
4. Then allow the Cydia to self-reload.
5. Look below your Cydia Home page, you will see ur device name, your iOS version and the current Cydia version.
If Cydia version is less than version 1.1.1 (as at of today 17th Nov 2011), then Cydia need to updated.
If so, Exit Cydia, wait about 8sec, then re-open Cydia. Allow Cydia to self-reload then follow step 3 down to Step 5 again until your Cydia version shows 1.1.1

Anyway, there maybe another way, but this is how I always update Cydia whenever I jailbreak iOS4.1 and below using Limera1n. Anyone, with other method can share it, we all learn daily.

As for the Ipod touch, the ios on is 4.3 or there about not sure again self, but i know it is 4.something (what i can do to even restore it back)?

Have RESTARTED the iPad after seeing the white Cydia?, try and restart, then update ur Cydia files, cos Limera1n that Jailbreak iPad 3.2.2 will always install previous version of Cydia.

It is not a theme, I only changed my font by installing Byta Font. Go to Cydia---Sections---Fonts

Yes,, google it to see how to fix ibook problem on jailbroken iOS 5.0 or You may use new Snowbreeze v2.8b11 to create the custom firmware. I read it addresses the ibook problem, but i have not tested it.

I just confirm the performance of latest iOS 5.0.1 yesterday on two iDevices, here are my findings, Note: the firmware is NOT Jailbroken
a. The new update is a battery eater. iPhone getting hot suddenly is peculiar to iOS4, I have never experience this problem on iOS5 betas to iOS 5.0, This is what i experienced yesterday after 5.0.1 update on my test-phones. What a surprise Apple claimed they are fixing battery problem that never existing since iOS5 beta release. Now they are intentionally creating problem for people.

b. After stock restore of 5.0.1, the iPhones were very slow. The RAM has been seriously chocked-up! (With only stock applications)

Hence, if this can happen to a fresh stock restore, for normal user, i see this update as Pioson!!!

I only pity iPad 2 and iPhone 4s users.

Install either iType Apple icon or Vmoji (ordinary version) from Cydia.
Remember both app can not be installed together, you choose only one.

The above statement is not entirely true. Only countries that have an agreements with apple or laws that prohibit phone manufacturers from locking down their system have access to such. Countries like france, UK, canada, beligium and some others can be unlocked as early as 6months into a phone contract. Other countries like the US, Japan etc dont have access to such facilities.

Apple has gotten a beta way to deal with jailbreakers. while trying to untether an ios, Apple starts to seed a beta version to developers which means d hackers will be forced to hold on to what they got untill d new version is released. when d new one comes out, d hackers starts to test what they av to see if apple has blocked it, while working on that, apple brings another version   . now ios 5.0.1 is already been tested by developers, it wont make sense to release any exploit now cos it will obviously be blocked by apple in 5.0.1. i guess the hackers now make more money from apple than from users. few weeks ago, one of d hackers showed a youtube video of ipad2/iphone 4s jailbreak, Apple sees it, pays dem off, the hackers tell users dey are still working on it while apple blocks it with a firmware update.
Its dat simple. Im sure new guys will soon come up with something before apple bribes dem again.

I'm not surprised at all, everyone now want to be on Apple's payroll for exploit.
What Apple is fighting now is for any wiz-kid to useless the A5-chip with a boot-rom Exploit, hardware structure on A5-chip is the future of Apple for now, since Steve is no more.
I just told a friend today to keep all his old ipsw files (iOS 3.x.x to 4.3.3) very well, because Apple may start forcing file-hosting site to remove them.

Can anyone help confirm this , maybe it is an old news, That Apple normally unlock all locked phone after 2 years from the day of first activation from the MOBILE OPERATOR.

Apple expect the contracts on ALL locked iphones to end in 2years from the day of first activation.

I have been wondering while my 3Gs that was locked to an Operator in UK, suddenly got permanent unlock few months back, then I came about the article online.
But I will like someone to confirm it too.
