Everything about your iPhone 2 is old. But your can try custom firmware from Whited00r project if you want to have a feel of iOS5 on your stoneage devices. Google for "Whited00r" go to the site and download for your iPhone.

Has anybody exprienced any problem with safari download manager?
Anytime i install it since i upgraded to 5.01, my safari keeps crashing.

Download Safari plugin on cydia, if you on iOS 5.X.X

My favourite tweaks:
1. Sbsetting-- I just discovered, I can do without it.
2. Springtomize --> You can't exhaust ALL what it does!
3. MyWi--> I share my internet with any PC either via USB or wifi via my iDevices.
4. Activator---> It speaks for itself!
5. IntelliScreenX --- I will say, this is the way Notification Center on iOS5 suppose be.

These are the main reasons why I jailbreak ALL my Apple devices.

I don't think it worth spending so much on iPhone 3G repair
3G is old with Old-hardware, old spec & Old Firmware. If you will have to spend on it to fix it, then you better think twice.
That is my opinion anyway, it may not be the best.

Hurray! I jailbroke my iPhone 4S today. The whole process went smoothly as clarified by iClarified.com.

I can't say for now that there are no issues, a time will tell.

I now have cydia on my homescreen.

What did you want your phone to do? That will prompt the tweak you will need. But anytime I jail broke any iPhone, I install Sbsetting first.

I think this question has been answer in the thread. My transaction with GTB is like 99% online.

Most hacker are always after high profile organisation. e.g Sony, Apple, Bank of America, Paypal, ebay, Amazon etc
Users are to be very careful. Some people just put their details into any freebie online which is very wrong.

To stay safe:
1. Don't update your account details online, go to your banking hall.
2. Never use your online banking access on PUBLIC COMPUTER, very very important. Use it only private PC or Mobile device
3. Keep your PIN and banking access in your HEAD, avoid writing it somewhere
4. Separate your online banking profile email from your social or secular emails. This might not be of much importance, but it is anextra precaution from me in case social networking junkies hack into your email.

Seems Apple iTunes Store is having bonanza since Xmas, ALL EA-Games prices were pegged on $0.99 each!
I still confimed it today, maybe it is a mistake. Anyone looking for clean EA-games can pay for it now before the window closes.

I think soft touch will b d one to help cos i dont stay i ibadan, im in lag. U dont need to give your imei. What u need to give him is your model number to know d network.

Same problem with me. It was working fine with tether JB with Redsn0w 0.9.9b9d
Maybe the untether codes has broken the ibooks again.

The problem of Facebook for iPhone not showing on ur facebook might be as a result of the updated facebook apps. Try use Old version of facebook apps for iPhone. When I say old version, I mean a version more than a year ago. I will try get old version from apptrack .You may report your findings too.

I just downloaded sso apps from a friend's system, now when i try to ssync my apps on my own itunes, i'm threatened by a message that everything on the phone will be erased. I've tried "transfering purchases", but i get an error message telling me my computer is not authorised. What can I do PLEASE.

Time to update my iPhone 4 to 5.0.1

Even with your tethered JB of iOS 5.0.1, you can make it untethered by installing Corona from Cydia or run New Redsn0w on it.

You may give Glo-3G a try. That is what I use to download both heavy games and Apple firmwares at amazing speed.
Gone are the days when 1GB data take eternity to download, when I can download it within 30 mins very early in the morning with Glo.

Downgrade back to iOS 4.
If no service.
Flash iPad baseband.
Next time u are going to ios 5.x.x create custom ipsw.
Restore and use ultrasnow.

it was the same dude that upgraded the base band. why should i not jailbreak?

If you are sure the phone is factory unlocked before the dude upgraded ur baseband to iPad-baseband, you got no problem unlocking it on iOS 5.0.1
Just create custom ipsw with option DO NOT ACTIVATE (meaning you got carrier unlock).

Then activate with itune. (Since ur Serial number is on Apple server as unlock, itune will unlock it)
I have upgraded a 3Gs to iOS 5.0.1 like that with 6.15.0 baseband.

yes. i tried it once on my 3Gs test phone.
I dowgraded to iOS 4.x.x first ( since i got my shsh blob saved)
then i used redSn0w to flash the baseband (but seems new snowbreeze got a function like this for lock-3Gs users)
then i used snowbreeze to create custom ipsw WITH HACKTIVATE option (very important)
Restore the custom ipsw with ireb.
After restore, the phone activate without itune. Then install ur ultrasnow from Cydia (you will have to use Wifi to install)
Reboot, The signal came ON.
