Enoquin: In my opinion, I see nothing beneficial in Maku's governance tour. When he goes to a state, he is a guest of the governor of that state and so is duty bound to promote the state...there is no state that is perfect...yet, all I read are how the government of this state is doing this and that...of a truth, a working governor's project will always be visible...can you close your eyes to good roads, water or other governmental projects? This is bullshitt. A lot of Nigerians are oblivious of what is going in other states where they are not resided. If not for the tour,i wouldn't know about the power plants in different parts of the country. |
AfroArab: if we arabs leave north africa and go away to arabia of middle east then africa will be half empty and very weak. so we stay here to help you okay. This is a joke, right. There is no military hardware in north-africa that is not in sub-saharan africa. We are wealthy enough to buy military hardwares to protect ourselves,if need be. We also have the brains to develop indigenous technology. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: Israel beat you all in 6days you should be ashamed of that. And for your military advancement Egypt should thank amerikkka and the others Russia.True. The Egyptians are lucky to be reciepients of $2billions annual military aid from america. |
snydergp: So what we built three already. We practically gave the world some of the most sophisticated satellite tracking systems and were still the leaders on that front, even NASA uses our systems from time to time in satellite communications and research.we have our own space research facility, which is world class from what i have heard. |

snydergp: Beegeagle is a blog not a resource site it mostly gives info on Nigerian Army.I was actually comparing beeg with defence.co.za. |
snydergp: Would u mind telling us where the US got some of there uranium from in the early 1950-1960's.They got it from allies. So? |
sheyie2007: Not in commercial quantities, Jos hasIs jos not in Nigeria? |
andrewza: A good site for local african newsBeegeagle is better. |
Msauza: People are dreamers here.who are the dreamers? You underestimate us badly. |
andrewza: You don't even build a jet engine yet you want to build a SCUD?we were supposed to get tech transfer from N.korea to Nigeria as part of the deal. |
Msauza: What about platinum and manganese. Platinum deposits are even more expensive than gold and is mined in Rustenburg and Limpopo.we have both. |
Msauza: What do you mean by they were not South Africans. Their ancestors arrived in SA in 1652, thus it makes them proudly South Africans.well okay,if you say so . I understand why you would claim them wholly. Who wouldn't? I would,if i were in your shoes. |
andrewza: Seems you wanted to buy Scud knock offs from NK. Not build a ICBM. It makes littel point to me.we wanted to buy like like 6-7 of those scuds, tear them apart, study them, and then create a local variant. We also wanted to use them as a platform to launch our home-made space and rocket technology. ICBM is a little beyond our reach for now. |
andrewza: Common myths but all wrong. SA devloped most of its tech with out any help from europe and we deloved a lot before them. Such has V lap, helmet mounted lock on sights, MRAP.Would you mind telling me the southafricans that build those techs, and where they got their training from or were they self-taught.? Lol |
snydergp: Didn't u say u will be the first african nation to develope missile technology. Do u even know what infrastructure u need in order to build such thingsgoogle, 'Nigeria to acquire missile technology from N.korea'. |
andrewza: What year you living in. Diamonds are by far not even close to a big money earner for us. We get more from Coal imports than diamonds.okay. |
andrewza: Nigeria was independet from 1960. Technicly around the same time has SA since we only became a republic in the 60s.it still dosen't change the fact that the arpatheid researchers(which were not originally Southafricans) kept their research in SA and also transfered technical know-how from their former countries to southafrica. Besides,Israel were also instrumental to your technical edge. Imagine if England transfered nuclear and other kinds of tech to Nigeria during the colonial era,we would probably be a superpower by now. But no,they only wanted to exploit. |
andrewza: Did you really say that and ask that.I was just kidding though. I know SA had other resources, but it seems you guys depend more on diamonds. |
Msauza: Hello!!! Please you must go to school to finish your grades. SA is far bigger than Nigeria. In fact, our land mass equals Nigeria + Ghanaokay,i just checked it now. You are correct. SA is bigger than Nigeria. Though I dont think there is anything in SA that is not in Nigeria, except diamonds. |
andrewza: Both the mokap, A datar and soon to be land based Umkonto are new sytems of the new SAThe arpatheid era already set the foundation for tech devt in SA. We are starting from scratch. |
snydergp: What drone are u talking about because those AMEBO-III drones are not hightech they are still in a developmental stages and would need 5-10 years before u can consider them operationally capable and world class. That was the excuse America gave when we wanted to get missile tech from the N.koreans. They said we were about to have the uneviable position of being the first subsaharan nation with missile tech, and they discouraged us from buying. As for the capability of our drones; we will get there faster than you think. (kudos to SA,you guys have come a long way) |
sheyie2007: Nobody is disputing that, I'm just proving to the world that you're uninformed..Nobody is disputing what? Smh. |
Msauza: They will never equal minerals that SA has. Like it or notwhat does SA has apart from diamonds? SA is not as big as Nigeria,so the probability of it having more natural resources is low. |
Msauza: YOU LIE!!! with capital letters, Nigeria does not have manganese, copper, uranium, aluminium, platinum, iron ore, etc. Only crude oilThis is a bloody lie. The North of Nigeria is filled with solid minerals like uranium, iron lead,gold,silver,polonium,zinc-ores e.t.c. Niger-republic has the one of the highest uranium deposits in africa and it shares a border with Northern-Nigeria. The only thing we don't have is diamond(yet). The south of Nigeria is filled with hydrocarbons like crude-oil and bitumen,rubber,cocoa,e.t.c. Infact,we have the highest deposit of bitumen, coal and natural gas reserves in the world. Google these things up. I can't post a link now,as i am not with my laptop. |
snydergp: Without oil where would nigeria be.southafrica does not have more natural resources than Nigeria. Maybe congo, but not southafrica. |
snydergp: Most of the weapons systems u see were taken on open days where the military holds public awareness campaigns to attract youth, or from analyst and SA arms manufactures who display for marketing purposes.yeah, you have a point. The Nigerian defence industry is growing due to our partnership with defence partners like the -DENEL-south-africa -MAROM-DOLPHIN-israel -china -india. We are mass producing APCs,gunboats,riffles,bullet-proof vests, military outfits,war-boats e.t.c. Most of our military hardwares are being maintained or repaired in Nigeria. We have started the manufacturing of drones. The way things are going,we may be the first sub-saharan nation to have a home-made missile technology, which we almost got from N.korea if not for america that blocked the trade. |
snydergp: You answered yourself, now can you honestly say that because Nigeria don't display there hardware or don't have it nor the expertise to operate them currently can you claim that Nigeria has the best systems in africa.I never said Nigeria is the best in Africa. I would rate us fourth. Egypt,Ethiopia,south-africa,Nigeria,though an investment of $1billion in the Navy and the airforce military hardwares(which is where we are relatively weak) should see us compete favourably with Ethiopia and southafrica. All military platforms in Nigeria can be operated by Nigerians,as we make it part of the deal when buying military hardwares. We don't buy hardwares without the training of Nigerians by the sellers. |
Msauza: It is just that some of your police vehicle look funny and their printing on the sides is just not professional, look like somebody had just used his hand writing with an oil paint. That old Peugeot is still among the police inventory and is widely used in Nigeria. By the way, why are the police allowed to drive in with complaints cars when they come to lodge in complaints in police stations?it is funny to you but not to us. We are okay with the vehicles, thank you. |
souldust: i was only replying msauza who thought people in here are the same illitrates in the townships.I am currently browsing with my phone,so i can't upload pictures. But i promise to do so later. |
snydergp: SA also uses toyota and Ford ranger SUV's many of there policing duties, but sedans are mostly use because of there speed and reaction time in responding to criminal threats. I guess the reason why Nigeria use mostly trucks and SUV's is because of terrain and road conditions. What I feel is making a few of ur police look poorly equipped is them riding in the back of open trucks, which is something that would create a national debate and outcry in South Africa.it's not about road conditions. Nigerian roads are okay and are currently been improved on. We have lambourghinis,aston-martins and other sophisticated vehicles plying our roads, let alone Sedans. We just feel it's a waste of money buying them sedans when toyota can do the job well. Besides, the Nigerian police have APCs. |
Msauza: Hello! We are not speaking of strength here, we are speaking about military hardware.what are you even saying? Is it not how sophisticated your military hardware is, that will determine your military strength? Can america be call a strong military nation without its nuclear warheads, stealth fighters,submarines,e.t.c.? It is the military hardwares that differentiate a weak military from a strong one. |
