Let's keep hiding the truth.
Police men are being targeted in the east and we are covering it up with 'unknown gunmen'.
Make una continue. By the time your hometown become a no go area, you will start claiming other states as yours for not being able to go back home. |

qdlvy: I tried ignoring this because you're either living in a different country or you're being willfully blind to the situation in the country.
I'll take your first paragraph as nothing but boastful talk to gain internet points. Go against anybody with more means, power and time than you in Nigeria and you'll be the one in jail regardless of who's guilty or innocent.
Regarding your second paragraph, a search of the accused's name on google will show you he was arraigned before a magistrate court for alleged fraud, with said case reported on a national newspaper. I could be wrong but I believe the accused himself comment on this thread about said case. If you care about evidence, which I doubt you do, you'll see said case died a slow death due to the plaintiff being unavailable (lives in another country, potential lost income and more expenses attending a court case in Nigeria) for a prolonged hearing.
I don't know which country you live in, same country where Al Mustapha, Oluomo, many ex-presidents, policemen, lecturers, primary school teachers sexually molesting kids, local iyalojas embezzling owo ajo, cultists, yahoo boys, Naira Marley, Mompha, even everyday people giving bribes, disobeying traffic laws, all of which are walking the streets free, not in jail. I know a lot of people who have committed fraud (I'm not accusing anyone of fraud, just making a point that your point is pointless, pun intended) and walking the street free. The country is a shitshow when it comes to upholding law and order. Besides, most cases of fraud in Nigeria are civil cases rather than criminal cases. Only the poor goes to jail in Nigeria.
I'm not defending or making a case for either side. I'm just surprised at some of the awful defenses I have seen here. If you're going to defend something, at least do so from a logical perspective rather than making moot points that portray you as a fanboy/fangirl.
I'm not replying to any further illogical responses. The thread should go on with its intended business. What a pity. It's not possible for him to dupe all these people and none was able to get him punished! I even asked how he duped them but got no clear answer. Did he collect money without executing the task or did he collect money for product A, but supplied product B? How exactly did he dupe or commit the fraud that none of the victims could nab him even though they know his whereabouts? So all the 'plaintiff' lived abroad? how then were they able to sue him to court according to you if they lived abroad? I don't want to drag this for too long, I just want to throw the motion that you can't get justice here into the trash it belongs when it's not like the so called 'fraudster' is a politician or a well connected personality. The examples you cited are nothing but the typical Nigerian talk. Have you heard of filled up prison yards? If truly no one gets punished, who then are in prison? homeless people or all of them are innocent people picked up and charged randomly? Do yourself a favor, go to the crime section on Nairaland, you will read stories of those arrested, sentenced and serving various jail terms within this Nigeria you claim not to be working. The few sets of people that can evade justice in Nigeria are these 2 and he does not belong to any. You can try duping me though, so that I can use you to set an example of how it's done. Typical Nigerians line up excuses on why things won't work without even actually trying (The right way) . In the absence of no precise details of how he duped or defrauded his victims, I will move away from this subject matter. One thing remains, if anyone defraud you and you have real evidence without him hiding, you can get justice in this Nigeria as long as he's not a heavy weight politician or very influential personality. Thank you. |

jabolo: Busy is an understatement. More an assault on the senses IMO.
Minimalism as a concept in interior decorations has much to be recommended. Neutral colors, thoughtful living spaces etc.
You get a sense of calmness as well, if your brain is not constantly but subliminally overworked with the ever present visual stimulation.
And, if you really want to go bohemian on a whim, do it with something easily removed/replaced (like a rug or painting). Perhaps not something permanently etched like these examples.
Horses for courses though. The particular one he posted can turn the brain upside down. Too busy! |
