Seems some people have mental issues in this country when it comes to thinking properly. DSDLIVEREPORT: So if Baba OBJ didn't shout about the equipment noone will do nada. Haters can leave him now . And what did Jonathan do with his own 5 years? Also tolled the line of Obasanjo and Yaradua. PDP don dabaru this country taytay. Realdeals: Obvious, they are some of the equipment acquired during the Obasanjo administration for the power sector. Late Yar'ádua administration should be described as the real Baba go-slow, he stalled the clearing of these containers and even stopped construction on the much celebrated Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail project. |

It's a choice and government isnt here to dash you free money just because you're a graduate.
Infact if truly you're a graduate, 30k for teaching and a tablet should help you replan your life.
But if 30k is too small, kindly drop it to free up the space, there are genuine people interested.

You don't even know if they are Yoruba or Fulani. You don't know Whether they are christains or moslems. You don't even know if these people are Kwarans as I grew up in Mushin and still know Sarakis fathers house near Pam Avenue. Even Saraki holds a British nationality and his children are claiming Americans and Nigerians. What a family of fraudsters. And Ilorin as a state kept been ruled by these extremely selfish children. I'm sure Saraki is currently grooming his kids to take over the next puppet he props up in the state. As painful as it sounds though, I wouldn't mind working for Saraki. Atleast he can rule Nigeria better than that mute and inactive brain dead loser called Buhari. Atleast If Saraki was in Buhari shoes, I'm sure he would have solve this type of problems years ago and not allow it to get this bad. Anyways, Buhari is the man who made Saraki very powerful After stating all the bad stuffs about Saraki and his family, you ended up saying such a person can rule Nigeria better? You see why we might not get any good leader in the future if a snake is what you prefer as a president? |

Quote where i said so. Thanks dalaman: You've already acknowledged that NPower can not help any body get out of poverty so I really do not know what you are arguing about. NOT power is NOT an empowerment scheme since people that earn the 30k (less than 100 dollars ) live in abject poverty by any standard in the world. |
Politics › Re: Over 11,000 Benefiiciaries Of Npower In Ekiti Declare Support For Buhari by somehow: 8:54pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
dalaman: 30k is not enough for people living in the suburbs of Abuja. A person earning 30k monthly is living in abject poverty by every standard in the world. N power is NOT an empowerment program since it does NOT lift people out of poverty. People that earn the stipend are still abjedtively poor. Did Npower stop anyone from getting other sources of income? if 30k is not enough in Abuja, the person should go for what can be enough for him or her na or is the government forcing anyone with Npower? Npower is to help those who have nothing to do at present, not for those who have options, it's more like a stepping stone for those with better plans ahead. Minimum wage is #18k, yet alot still go for these same civil service jobs, yet we have more civil servants in Nigeria. How are they surviving and why haven't they all died? Because alot of people don't rely on just 1 job, so why should anyone rely on just Npower? |

dalaman: Ogneni what are you saying? A bag of rice alone is about 16k and you are saying that 25k feeds a couple? That only happens in your imaginations. 25k can NOT feed a couple for one month. How much is a kilo of meat? What about other ingredients and vegetables? How much is a kondo or bag of beans. A bottle of palm oil and other stuffs. Ogbeni be serious pls. So you mean a couple will eat one bag of rice for a month? since you don't know zilch when it comes to kitchen stuff. The people earning #18k monthly or even less must have all died by now. Let me break it down to you incase you don't know. there are people feeding even with less than 20k a month, some even spend less than 15k a month. And no sir, a bag of rice is not 16k everywhere, some places have bags of rice for 11k, 12k. smaller bag sizes are 9k and even 8k. Now if you want me to break down how to spend 20k monthly (2 people). Go with me on the tour: 1 derica of rice is #220 in Lagos 1 derica of beans is #300 in lagos Yam is like #400-#600 here in Lagos Spag is #180 Semo is #220 (small one) Sachet tomatoes with pepper is #50 here in Lagos, the one without pepper is same A gallon of Palm oil is #650 Groundnut oil is #750 maggi sachet is 220 sachet of salt is 60 gas is #3k 1 kilo of titus is 1100, kote is 1100, shawa is 600. kilo of chicken is 1100, turkey is 1200 egusi is 300 for milk cup, ogbono is 500 for tin cup. Depending on how both couple eat, 20k should feed you both for a month unless you're the type that eat more than what you earn. don't let anyone deceive you, 10k can feed you same as 100k. so whoever tells you he cant eat because he earns 30k monthly is deceiving you, planning for the future with such earnings might be something else, but feeding is covered. I repeat, no one does a single job anywhere in the world again, you must have multiple streams of incomes. only few people on earth can do one job and live the life they want. |

dalaman: 30k? What is there to show for 30k? 30k can not feed People that live on 100 dollars a month are considered to be living in abject poverty by every standard in the world so what are you talking about? Then give them a better job that can earn them 200k or should thr government give them 200k jobs? The insolvent civil servants are already gulping free "salaries" from the govt already. If civil servants were actually working effectively, we might have had some of them evolve to the stage of create businesses that employs fresh graduates but no, some rather die there collecting money they actually didn't earn work wise. Abuja(most part) is not for low income earners, let them move to the suburb until their income capacity gets to the living standards of those within main Abuja. |

dalaman: I have two relatives that I feed that are enrolled in this Npower. It was through them that I got to know about the existence of the scheme. They still live in my house in Nigeria and depend on me for most things. The N power money can not feed them talk more of pay their house rent and buy other utilities.
Ntech, N build etc are nothing different fron what you learn from vocational schools in Nigeria. There's nothing exception or spectacular about them. N power is just like any other government run program in Nigeria that is riddle with mediocrity, inefficiency and incompetence in the training field. How then do civil servants earning #18k feeding if #30k can't feed your relatives? I know of a couple we feed with #25k monthly and if you see them, you would think they eat at eko hotel everyday due to the freshness of their skin. What am i saying? If someone who's not married claims 30k is not feeding him or her, then something is wrong. In this world, no one does just one business/job, else he won't progress from his current stage. #30k is small but let them diverstify. |

Chai.. So the man died with his 3 children all in his hands? Gosh..
Meaning if he was selfish, he would have survived.
The grandfather and the 2 years old survived because the grandfather was able to handle one child.
All the women died! None could swim? Not like they were trying to save any of the kids.
If the women could swim, they would have been able to save themselves and at least a child each thereby reducing the burden from the man that died trying to save 3 of his kids at a go.
Everyone should learn how to swim or not go near the water at all. But then, what happened to live jackets and safety tires?
So painful. So so painful. |

As long as you have better option for now, you don't throw away this one. Before motorbike came bicycle. That they are stealing means whatever 'small good" they do should be rejected? before Npower, was there anything paying unemployed graduates 30k? Remind me again, how much do civil servants get? i mean minimum wage? No one is saying they have done the best but when a step higher is taken, you commend for better things to come. candy: It beats me how you attempt to justify this fake political show of shame with logical reasons! I'm not against the people who benefit from the n-power, I just don't think it's enough reason for them to throw bouquets at a failed government and eulogize them over something that meagre.
BTW, I try as much as possible to impact lives in my own little way. Bear in mind that what I earn is a result of MY HARDWORK, not stolen from the National purse. I may not be able to pay many people the n-power stipend continuously, but I pride myself in my ability to do my bit; not because I expect their votes, but because I care genuinely. |

No, i didn't miss any point. the 30k + tablet is to keep them up and working for 2 years, they also get to access loans from Npower if they have business ideas. before Npower, thousands/millions were jobless, so saying Npower is a bad thing is far fetched. Government is not even suppose to be in the business of providing jobs but here they are, giving hope to alot with no hope. Those who can do 30k jobs for 2 years aren't forced into the system either. you can go for your 500k/month job if it's available. We already have an overbloated civil services producing next to nothing so this one is actually effective and more valuable to the society than the default civil service. My biz crashed some months ago, if i can be picked for something like this which in turn opens me up to a safe and secure loan they give, i will gladly pick it up. (Not really because of the 30k but for the loan option to revive my business while also holding body and soul together with the extras) I know it's not the best but for now, better off than nothing since it's not forever and if you get a better offer, you can opt out. deepwater: You have missed the point charlie |
