Ogu to me is a short passes type of a player, not in the mold of Mikel and might not be able to play that role. To play such role, you need to have clear vision and the ability to read your colleague's next moves. Iheanacho should be able to slot in, but the issue is, will he step up? Iwobi like you said too unserious for such role. The only other option is Joel. Etebo doesn't know how to pass, he's better at dealing with loose balls. bengine: Ogu is the best distributor but he lacks the finesse to play the Mikel Role..non of those guys can dictate tempo of the game or control the game..Iwobi is still immature for that role but he is the best we have got..Iheanacho can play the role but that means we revert to 442 to suit nacho..so no one exactly can really effectively replace mikel in the team . |

This has nothing to do with "security", look deeper bro. June is coming and lets see if they will truly pull out their lions. daveP: really. Last time I checked, the citizens don't have a say on issues that concerns security outside the boundaries of the UK. This is one and I don't see citizens no matter how football loving would risk it on such grounds. If the Royal House says, it carries weight. Forget Parliament. |

Go to religious houses, people use other people's misfortunes to praise their God. please what kind of humans are we? seunmsg: The reactions of some of them is really appalling. They shouted at the top of their voices that Buhari should take action and now that there is a major breakthrough, they are so angry and calling it a scam. Wailers are so fvcking insatiable. |

Thank you. most Nigerians are the worst set of humans on earth. no value for life at all! seunmsg: Very sad and disturbing. Hopefully, she will regain her freedom very soon. I however don't like the religious angle. Like i wrote when the incidence occurred initially, the problem is a humanitarian one and we should not allow it to be politicized or given a religious coloration. Where is the proof that she is the only christian among the 110 kidnapped girls? How did sahara reporters got the information that she was not released because of her christian faith? Five of the girls were reported dead, were they killed because of their religion?
The same handles on nairaland that attempted to politicize the kidnapping and make it out as a Buahri failure are the same set of people that are now very angry over the release. People who don't care about the girls and their parents should not be allowed to compromise their safe return with politics and religion. We should wait for a more detailed information about the release and those still left in captivity before we start making baseless assertions. |

You can't do that in the UK, the citizens decide not the "top guys". They citizens know how to deal with whoever is the "top guys" trying to undermine them. They don't run a military system of Government. To pull out, they must debate it and we know the masses in UK don't joke with football + a bit of adventure. So it won't work. Apart from world war 1 and 2, I don't remember FIFA stopping a world cup tournament from taking place because of one disgruntled country. daveP: Dont underrate FIFA when it comes to politics. in fact politics drives the body than the game rules. It's not as easy as you're making it seem. It's more complicated than you think.

For the silly mistakes the Chelsea GK made against Barcelona, if it was to be our GK, we go don ask Chelsea and Belgium to drop him asap. You become a bad GK if your mistakes become routine not 1 or 2 mistakes in 10 to 20 matches. Between Ndidi, Onazi and Ogu, who is a better passer and distributor?
Can any of these at least serve as a make shift for Mikel?
Onazi once played the role but we lost 2:0 to South Africa.
To me, I woukd rather we use Iwobi there or if Joel is fit.
Another option is Iheanacho, he once played that role during his youth football era.
It's a friendly match so experimentation is allowed.
