Does this make sense? Which Bible said anyone should be denied holy Communion for not "wedding" in the church?
1bunne4lif: All these people commenting nonsense, mass wedding is very common in the universal church, its an act to help those who can't afford a separate wedding and also to help couples who are married traditionally to be able to receive sacrament in the church, it does not have anything to do with tribe
salt1: They're not young couples. Most have been cohabiting for years after their traditional marriage. The Catholic Church insists on the sacrament of matrimony or church blessing before they can take holy communion
So a man or woman married in a traditional way isn't married so can't take holy Communion?
Show me where in the Bible you're to marry in the church building.
He was the only known threat attack wise, the rest were pedestrial especially iheanacho. Ighalo was quiet too but gave the defenders things to worry about with his high pressing.
MetalJigsaw: I know he was kinda selfish but it also worked to our advantage in disguise.
He kept coming at the Polish defence with his trickery and mobility which subjected the defenders in a state of somewhat pressure and errors. Which eventually led to that penalty.
One thing some of us are missing is the fact that Mikel not only distribute passes, he holds on to the ball and also tracks back to defend, these attributes are lacking in Iheanacho, so there was no way he would have slotted in.
The closest to Mikel right now is Joel Obi, Onazi is also a candidate but his passes aren't top notch.
I am waiting to see Rohr play Joel Obi as CM/AM like Mikel and not pair him with a DM to know how good he is offense wise
TheSuperNerd: All I want to say is Well done Super Eagles.... I have no need going player for player... But Ekong was the best of the lot for me and Victor Moses still showed why he is the boss and livewire of the Super Eagles Attack. Amazing how we beat Argentina without him (Ofcos Mikel alone can make a decent attack of Nacho and Iwobi look like Magic).
Yes, VicMo was selfish, and full of himself at times especially on that freekick he should have left for Nacho buuuuuutttttt.... Live with it... That guy is our biggest gun after Mikel. #Fact #CaseClosedOnThat
Breakout star of the game.... "Big" Francis Uzoho
Lord! That one-on-one save against arguably The world's best no.9 is gonna do something magical to Uzoho's confidence and mindset going forward. His morale is boosted after another fine shutout (another cleansheet) and he can only get better from here. He was jittery yes, but he is 19 and has not faced such huge crowd before with the whole stadium egging Poland on... Uzoho showed heart.... And I think this is the heart we need between the sticks. A Young lad with a Big Heart for the Grand occasions. His scary face, big frame, super height and Big Heart... Hmmmm... Watch out for this lad. He is Nigeria's next number 1.
Iheanacho was kinda quiet today apart from a couple of fine interchanges/interplays and I was right to warn you all to not expect him to do even half of a Mikel... Despite that his shift on the overall was just moderately okay. I expect more from him (if he gets to start) against Serbia in the presence of Mikel.
The midfield combo of Ndidi and Joel did more tackling, marking, and ball winning rather than stringing consistently fine passes together to connect To Nacho and the other forward men. This left Nacho to come pick up stray balls deep in midfield sometimes.... Truly Mikel is the boss as I have always said.. The odogwu himself remains the best man for the no.10 role in this SE set-up.
With time, more will be said as we look forward to having a really solid 23-man squad for the mundial but I will end by saying, this win was massive and it is a big deal indeed. Beating a LewanGOALSki-led polish team (no.6 in the world) with our world no.52 team... *whistles** I say, this is huge mehn... After all we are not world class... But we have done it over two world class top 10 teams in Argentina and now in Poland. And this Poland result came in Wroclaw, Poland in front if their 48,000 passionate fans..... I say our young team deserve the credits. We can only get better.
Well, i said a PK is going to be in the match and there we had it but on the other side I said at least 2 goals, 1 was allowed and one disallowed.
So sir, which debate are we having?
AllforJesus7: somehow : Whatever happens today, remember that this is a friendly match. I expect at least 2 goals. A PK might show up against us. Apart from Mikel, the 1st 11 shouldn't have issues showing us what to expect in Russia come June.
Somehow can you come in now for the debate?
I said so didn't I? We will cancel out most European teams we play against in terms of technique. Poland is 6th on the FIFA ranking and we beat them at home.
Add the pivot of Mikel to our midfield and we are good to compete.
Only concern is set pieces and goal keeping. Uzoho will come good ( I doubt we will find another quality goalie before WC). Today's experience is vital for him and he settled into the game in the 2nd half.
Enough said, i can't argue with you oga. we wouldn't be asking for a replacement for Mikel if Iwobi was a fit. that you don't know this says alot.
Whatever you believe, stick with it sir. thank you for your time.
Martz101: there is nothing like Mikel role, the role is attacking midfield, or rather the number 10 role...mikel against Zambia first leg played a deeper role with onazi, yours truly iwobi played that attacking role
And yes iwobi was groom to be an attacking midfielder due to so much attacking talent in the arsenal team like Ozil his shifted wide sometimes, even almighty Mikel experience same thing while at Chelsea.
Ok sir, i never knew Iwobi has played or plays the Mikel role for the SE and also Arsenal. And yes, i don't know football.
Those i was conversing with got my point, sorry you didn't.
Thank you.
Martz101: Bros you dont know me and I don't know you, don't let discussions like this get to you.
you said iwobi tends to play rubbish when the ball is with him for long, and without more argument from me I said his rubbish got us to the world cup and I pray he continue the rubbish that will bring goals in russia, I said that because is obvious you have little knowledge about football.
In super eagles iwobi is one of our best in terms of ball retaining and keeping possession, he was train by arsenal youth academy; they are thought to retain the ball...
Aina was mocking Uzoho last night saying "Hey, this is my 19 YEARS old friend from Deportivo", Uzoho spoke few Spanish words and ran away, then Aina started saying "He's so tall, watch him, he's gonna hit the signpost at the top" (this was inside the hotel passage). Aina is troublesome and might even be those boys in school that love to taunt others.
MetalJigsaw: That's really bad. Talking as if she can do Nada if Musa does
Humility017: that lady is like one wit character issues... she shouldn't forget...she is the second wife... the dude had to go through divorce prior marrying her....definitely musa can still marry as many as he can manage...moreover Islam laws permit 4 wives.
Was watching Shehu live yesterday when Musa called the wife.
The wife started saying.. "no go give person Belle for Poland o".. Musa went quiet. I thought heard him wrongly. The call was on speaker phone. I guess that embarrassed him because the call went off few seconds later.
I think I got your initial post now. I totally missed it, I didn't know you get to join the confederations cup if bundled out of the CCL during qualifiers.
