For the kind of team, Kayode played for, he should have had more games. He had a lot of opportunities but for a striker, if you are not scoring, you will be benched.

I think, Dessers and Umar could have at least gotten one goal if given the number of games Kayode had.

Kayode finishing is average, when he went to a better league, it showed.. Ideye was scoring a lot in Ukraine but when the standard was higher he could not produce.

Umar had limited opportunities in Serie A but he showed his ability in pre season and now in the Eredivise. In his recent games, he has made me a believer in his abilities. He still needs to improve on his finishing. His finishing is not good enough yet.

Dessers has one of highest goal scoring rates per minute in the eredivise.

Kayode that I know is not an in-box player. Can't deputise Ighalo nor can he hold up play. I'm talking of a proper 9 here. Kayode to me is more of a forward (winger) than a CF.

Too bad some of you don't know that for Ighalo to sit up, he need someone who's with same experience or even more experienced than him up front. He's been kinda lackadaisical of recent. There is no other striker of Nigerian descent tested and trusted that can give Ighalo any sit up needed at the mundia. He had 3 goals from 10 matches in the serie A
This term he's not even scored a goal after 6 matches in Serie B, even though he has clocked more minutes.

You see what I mean? This is why i'm not big on league comparison.. it's all about player form and maybe other factors as well.

I was comparing the 2 players that was put side by side, Umar in fewer number of games performed better goal wise than Dessers.

Umar is not a lethal finisher, he is just ok but he offers a lot more as a forward..he has pace and very skillful for a guy that tall..his hold up play is good too...too be honest I don't mind him being our third striker, his unpredictability can cause a few upsets at the world cup...

If we can just get nachos finishing and download it into Sodiq's brain, I would take Sodiq ahead of Ighalo right away in our starting line up...

I don't think taking just Ighalo and nacho to world cup as our strikers is good..one of them would get injured at some point..and u can't really trust Musa..

if we are to talk of league comparism...then i believe those in Chinese league shouldn't be invited...because the Dutch league I believe is better technical than the Chinese league....

I believe the league both of them are will only teach them how to score with less difficulty defense wise, will they be able to repeat same goal scoring ratio when they go to a better league?

I will still rate Umar ahead of Dresser because he came from a higher and more difficult league where he actually had some goals recorded to his name.

He started at a very young age and luck to hit it straight at Inter Milan from Nigeria.Mind you Martins didn't play Nigeria league.

What makes a player extraordinary is playing different roles, creating chances out of thin air, making others who play around him or her great by bringing out the best in them, scoring and assisting. Not blaming others when they lose. Not getting angry and complaining when they don't pass to him. Not lurking at the edge of the penalty box waiting for others to do the job so they can pass to him to score, then claim all the glory.
