nateevs:
Here we go again. . vouyers here talking about hopes and more likely. Well win tomorrow against Aston Villa. . . then come back to talk about hopes and more likelys. .

@Somze.

Guess what. . . I do like the 4-4-2 . . but in this case . .we do not have the personnel to play it. . . Two very important things are very crucial to a 4-4-2.

1. You need a smart, pacy, very attacking and creative midfielder. . .a playmaker that can hold the ball . . has good goal sense . .can dribble at least one player at a go. . good vision. . . and most importantly, is a genius with passes.

2. You need players that can work the flanks. . pacy . . . can join the central midfield when they have to. . . has abilities to hold the ball so as to bring full backs into overlapping play. . . contribute at least 20 goals to the club's season's total and most importantly can cross the ball. .

Without these two points a 4-4-2 can't work. . . We could have a few moments . . but over time it will fail. .

I look at our team and in case one . . the players that look close to such a role are Ballack. . Lamps. . Mikel. . Essien. . The funny news is none of them fits that player. . as a mata of fact I am gong to strike out 3 of them first. . Lamps, Obi, and Essien are out of it. . . Ballack is close but he is not creative enough and has lost all the pace. . plus he can't even dribble again and he is 31.

Second case . . . SWP, Cole, Kalou, Malouda. .are they all wingers?. . none of them is. . .

So it looks like the 4-4-2 might only favour Drogba and Anelka because they are natural strikers. . they hold the ball and they know how to bring their team mates into play. . and they do the most important thing that strikers do. . . they score and they score well. .

But how do you put to use perhaps potentially the best strike force in the premiership to good use when there are no players to give them the ball?. . . .Anelka was very prolific but since he arrived at chelsea he has only scored ONE goal and it was a defender that gave him the pass not a midfielder. . . So we definitely have a problem with the midfield . . . . .
You know you are right,

Notice I did not choose specific individuals to fit the roles in the midfield. At the moment, no one is playing up to the standard that would be needed in 4-4-2 formation.

Our team currently lacks in personnel the play-making attacking midfielder and the kind of wingers needed for the formation. On paper, however, it seems we may find the players that may be manageable enough to fit -the positions needed.

Assume we have players at their best (or somewhat close to that) form,

Strikers - Drogba, Anelka

Left winger - Malouda, Joe Cole (remember Robben's first season with us?)
Right winger - Shaun Wrong Phillips (he should not even attempt crosses, simple passes would do), Kalou

Attacking Midfield - Ballack, Lampard, Obi (yes I think he should start playing that role)
Defensive Midfield - Essien, Makalele.

I think we can experiment with this a little and see how it goes.

I would not count on more likely too if I were you.

Last Sunday we were more likely to win against Spurs. I guess Arsenal was more likely to win against a Ten Man Birmingham side too and more instances can follow too wink

AG lacks tactical ingenuity.

I read that Ferreira's contract was renewed and I'm like what the hell! Who makes these decision anyways?

I don't still get what Ashley Cole is mad about, am I the only one that think he's been crap.

Ibime
Drogba come off? Are you sure about this? I can't remember the last time Drogba was substituted even under JM.
Meanwhile wasn't it Drogba that gave us the lead in the first place? Why do you want him off?

I've talked to Nateevs about the issue of formation before. I prefer 4-4-2 and I think we should experiment with Drogba and Anelka in that sort of formation.

Anelka does not look too good on the flanks. we have Lampard and Ballack so we can even do diamond formation with the two of them or we can bench one of them and do a Joe Cole and kalou/malouda/wrong phillips on the flanks.

I could not have said it better myself, but what do you get when your billionaire owner decides to sack an accomplished world renowned manager only to replace him with an unknown friend?

AG's wins and the so called streak we have had can be explained at best as pure luck and at worst as error-prone or weak opposition. With all the talk of attacking football, as you pointed out we fall terribly behind on goal aggregate and clean sheets. Meanwhile lets add to his beautiful streak - losses to both Man Utd and Arsenal while drawing with L'Pool. So looking at our head to head ratio in the so called grand slam fixtures we've only garnered a point. Comparing this to JM's era shows how far back we indeed have fallen.

Chelsea now lies at a regular 3rd position on the league table - Sad!

The only good thing out of all the shenanigans is Ashley took his deserved spot - THE BENCH!!!
Why that guy is complaining is beyond me, he should be shipped back in an attractive package to the North Side and lets see how well he'll do with Clichy.

I saw the Rijkaard rumours . . . I think I'll prefer anyone to AG at the moment, even the Viewer from North London himself! grin

Is there any one with similar complaints or experience - that way every one joins in the suit with probably more complaints?

i really don't have time to spend visitng banks to get complains and all that, but i do have a very good way of gettin what i want, hmmm, its time for me to make use of that, anyways, i have already spoken to a this day editor about it, she came to our office this morning to interview someone, and i joined, u can imagine how interested she was to hear all about it, AND i showed her a picture i took of uba s xmas decoration, (their headquaters) its says SEASONS GREETINGS TO YOU AFRICAS, Lord, how pathetic! huh
The Newspaper should be the last point of contact not the first. Only after you have exhausted every procedure is this phase necessary. From my case you can see that the case was entirely different after it was well investigated. You may need to do some work to get answers, you'll be shocked to find out the reason for your predicament.

grabdbull:
I just got a text indicating that my account has been credited with the N20,000 that hooked initially. Am I happy about this? The answer is a definite NO. I am more relieved than happy, and strongly believe all these guys that provide services should be made accountable for their actions and inactions. Wouldn't it be nice to sue the pr, ks for inconvinience?
I'm happy to hear this. I think sometimes banks need a little push and publicity to do what they ought to do in the first place. Another thing I learnt from the guy I spoke with in Oceanic Bank is this cases take the maximum of a week to be resolved.

When it is not, from this experience, I can say that your bank should be at the receiving end of the finger pointing. When your Bank follows the appropriate steps, it is expected that the issue should be resolved.
BusinessRe: Be careful with ATMs! by somze(op): 3:39pm On Feb 18, 2008
I was contacted by Oceanic Bank's customer care this morning, which was particularly nice and I have been contacted regularly by their team.

I talked to someone of authority that explained the ATM process to me, and assured me that NO request was sent by my Bank on this issue. I was also sent an email - by him - concerning the matter.

Contacting my Bank again, as a result of the development, they confirmed finally that Oceanic Bank's claims were in fact TRUE.

My bank explained that every transaction done over the weekend up to Monday is seen as a Monday's transaction as their software does not display dates. Apparently I had made other transactions on Monday or between the period and the staff supposedly on my issue picked out the wrong transaction and worked on it. Seeing that Cash was dispensed in that instance the case was probably closed. Unfortunately someone in the department forgot to notify me until I came back after three weeks. So I guess this error was from whoever was handling the case from my Bank, in the first instance.

My bank has now forwarded the actual transaction to Oceanic Bank and I trust the issue will be dealt with accordingly.

I encourage everyone that has an ATM Cash dispensing issue to send complaints to the Bank holding the account of the ATM and follow due procedure. You may also need to knuckle it in and ask a lot questions. If your bank has the same software with my bank and maybe the same staff in particular then my prayers are with you.

I want to thank Oceanic Bank for the patience they have exercised during this process. I recall the original message of this thread and will modify the Topic accordingly.

Thanks guys.

It may be a bit harsh to include banks that I dont have sufficient information about.

I think you should meet your bank and complain about the issues you are having first of all. We must exhaust normal procedures first, just like I did I went through all the procedures and even took pains to go to each bank until I had reached a dead-end.

As we speak, I have planned out what exactly I will do.

All this is part of a publicity campaign to enlighten people of the danger.

I sent a strongly worded letter to Card Services department of my bank with a link to this thread in it requesting for the log of the transaction from Oceanic bank. On Monday from work I will forward the mail to Customer Service too as I ask for an update.

I have sent mails to my friends warning them of this issue and I have sent a mail also to my colleagues (in my department) too at work too. I will send to a broader team too at work as time progresses, until I send it to every staff in the organization.

I will then turn to the papers, If I am satisfied with the reaction. That is the only way to get management to investigate and probe this fraudulent activity (I doubt if top management actually knows about this fraud supposedly done by staff).

As you see it will be a gradual phased process. I will keep you guys up to date.

Wish me luck.
