LIE.
Show where it says so. When has that prophesy been fulfilled?
it is not a prophecy...it is in the past tense...

common...

isaiah already told you that the servant is Israel see Isaiah 45:1-7. why are you arguing??

QuinQ:
Not relevant to the discussion . Here it is

Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
who is the "we" and what message did they hear?

QuinQ:
sonmvayina what do you say to this? And while at it also tell us HOW this below was talking of Israel and not Jesus!

Isaiah 53
4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished
.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
y and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
isaiah 53 is what the kings of the earth will say when they witness the redemption of the Jewish people. isaiah already told you more than 8 times prior to chapter 53 that the servant is Israel. why the controversy??

Here is Isaiah 53 verbatim:

He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished
.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
why did you skip the first two verses ?

Are you ok? Was Rome occupying a part of anything? Were they not ruling almost all the world?
and a new religion was trying to disturb their culture and tradition, they had to fight the brain washing of their children.

Delulu. You were given two complementary chapters Leviticus 16 and Isaiah 53
leviticus is not a prophecy. it is the book of the law.
isaiah 53 is about a suffering SERVANT and isaiah told you more than 8 times prior to 53 that the servant is Israel.. no controversy here.

I never expected you to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses because there is one quality that's found in each person who becomes one of us and from the experience i have had with you that quality is far from you.
So my response to you is for prospective JWs who are searching for the only true Christian organization not just every Dick and Harry because faith on its own is not a possession of all kinds of people! 2Thessalonians 3:2🙂

The prophecies about the Messiah started right in the garden of Eden after Adam's rebellion.

@ Genesis 3:15 God told Satan that a child will be born who will destroy all the works of Satan! 1John 3:8

@ Genesis 49:10 Jacob prophesied that rulership will not depart from Judah until Shiloh comes and to him the obedience of all the people will belong! Philippians 2:10

@ Deuteronomy 18:18 God promised to raise a prophet/god like Moses {Exodus 7:1} among the Israelites {Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1} and whoever disobey him will be cut off from among the living! John 3:16

@ Isaiah 14:12 it was revealed that a virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a baby boy whose name will be called Immanuel which means "with us if God" Jesus was born of a virgin and he served as God performing great miracles even greater than what Moses who was first called God did in his lifetime. Exodus 7:1

@ Daniel 9:26 It was revealed that the Christ (Messiah) will be killed with no property left for himself this happened to Jesus of Nazareth as the last thing he had on him was taken away! John 19:23-24

@ Daniel 12:1-3 it was revealed that Michael who is standing for the salvation of God's people will come and do so many things which Jesus did in his three years of ministry.

@ Joel 2:28-30 God promised to put His spirit on many believers and lots of wonderful things will happen this was fulfilled few days after Jesus was raised from the dead showing that what God promised has been granted! Act 2:16-18

@ Isaiah 2:2-4 & Micah 4:1-3 God promised to unite faithful people throughout the world and make them one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers through the teachings of the Bible. Jehovah's Witnesses are fulfilling this today.

So if you don't believe that Jesus exists that's your own cup of coffee God has given enough evidence (witnesses) around you and that is what we need to see not seeing a spirit before believing that our God is working among us! Isaiah 43:10🙂
you are just playing to the gallery, and beating about the bush.
show me where God said he had a son and where he said he will send the son as a sacrifice for the ransom of humans

then while at it, show me where God said he would impregnate another man's wife to sire a son.

I don't want conjectures

Why are you emphasizing "servant"? Jesus himself described His mission as one of service, famously saying He came "to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many".
What else are you waiting for? Who else fulfills Isaiah's prophecy??
it is not a prophecy actually.
in Isaiah 53, let me educate you. it is the kings of the earth that are talking. it is what they will say when they witness the salvation of Israel.
it is not Isaiah talking and it is not God talking...

who can believe what we (The kings of the earth) has seen(the salvation of Israel)

2. show me where God said he was sending his son as a ransom.....

I am waiting..like I told you, Isaiah 9 and 7 are about someone else. Isaiah 9, the son has already been born

Why not insist on seeing Him before believing instead of humbly accepting God's presence in the midst of His obedient worshipers?

There were two people before Jesus who tried to make themselves relevant in the first century {Act 5:36-37} Jesus himself spoke of those who have come claiming they are the Messiah! John 10:8
you keep quoting the new testament.

I want a collaborative evidence of the claims contained in it....
you seems not to understand the purpose of this thread.

It never remotely occurs to you that they were indeed following a crucified person and the cross is the symbol of that crucifixion??
Again, what us meaning of "death cult"?
you no go university? you no know wetin be cult?
A death cult are group of people that carry out human sacrifices, maybe in order to end their activities, they created a story about God sending his son to die as the final human sacrifice.......and then built a religion round it and forced people to believe it. if they don't, they kill them.....so, people fearing their life, accepted just like you...

Now it's clear that you neither believe in the Tanack nor any Scriptures!🙂

This is what the Bible God said:

"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isaiah 43:10

Please according to this verse did God say His worshipers will see Him or it's their activities as they are unitedly doing His will that will serve as EVIDENCE that He is WORKING among them?🙂
First and foremost, the servant there is ISRAEL, Are you following God's laws as he gave them on Mount Sinai.....NO, so it's has nothing to do with what we are discussing...

One is alive and active today and being worshipped as God and His words never forgotten - exactly as He foretold
lol, active where? The role of the Messiah God promised was to usher an era of world peace and end all oppression. Isaiah said "Men will hammer their sword into ploughshares....and learn of war NO MORE. it has not happened. so when did this Messiah come and the world is still at war.....Don't be fooled my brother.

You were told to give examples of people willing to be tortured and die for a mythical character they created/quote]
you are very funny oh, Are those not part of the stories Christian tell to deceive people. None of those things happened. if at all, it was Christians that was doing the persecution and killing people for not believing. Any story about Christians dying for Jesus are all 100% lies and forgery.

[quote]How do you know? All other Jesus's and crucifixions were real except Christian Jesus!
Because the stories told about Jesus in the gospel does not check out.
1. The virgin birth is a No no
2. The idea of a logos is a Greek philosophy
3. The zombie apocalypse is rad
I can go on and on....the story point to the fact that it is actually a fictional character. That's why he don't feature in a real history text book.

Death cult, meaning what? Why did they adopt the cross?
The cross is a symbol of torture and death. probably because it is a death cult/religion.

so they never persecuted Christians?
Those stories was told by Christian themselves....I will take it with a pinch of salt.

Eusebius was born long after the texts were written. See below
I don't think so. I think he was the one who wrote the book of Mark and his colleagues used it as a template to write the rest, The only surviving text we have are from post Nicaea.

People don't get willing to be tortured and die for a character they made up. As you were told, Achebe would not die for his fictional Okonkwo
But, Romeo actually died for Juliet. does it mean they are real??
Christianity EtcRe: Why Is Jesus Not Included In Academic History Books? by sonmvayina(op): 11:47am On Jan 07

YES!

Regarding evidence that Jesus once lived on this planet he said:

"But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a, and to the most distant part of the earth.” Act 1:8

Have you heard of Jehovah's Witnesses?

That is the undeniable evidence that Jesus once walked this planet not what is written in books.

There has never been and there will never be any ruler whose subjects are unitedly and actively doing what he commanded them throughout the globe like Jesus' true disciples! smiley
hahahhahahahaha,

and nobody saw him? very laughable..

are you saying that the son of God made an appearance and nobody noticed it..

like "Oh there goes Jesus, the son of God, raising the dead and feeding the hungry, let's not write about it...hooorhum.
joke of the century, and all God wants us to do is believe it by faith.....

So you do accept that Jesus did indeed exist. Your only problem is with things like zombie apocalypse?
Again, why would they adopt the cross symbol for no reason while it was a symbol of shameful death?
I wonder why? given that it is a torture and death symbol.

maybe they are giving us a clue that they arise from a death cult.
human sacrifice belongs to the realm of Lucifer....God hates it.
