The only time the İgbo rose against Hausa -Fulani , it led to the pogrom and the İgbo tribe was worsted & vanquished subsequently ; the two times the Yoruba rose against Hausa-Fulani they handed power over to Yoruba man namely Shonekan & Obasanjo . So who iş afraid of Fulani now? İ just pity the İgbo tribe...always looking to denigrate the Yoruba but never succeeding! We always got öne on you.
big stinking lie.

OdenigboAroli:
So,what is your point ? I hope you are not trying to say all Igbo has the same origin. Just because part Ebonyi used to be in old Anambra doesn't mean an Obosi and Afikpo are kins. We are all Igbo yet distinct in our ways. And I think it should be left like that. Our sweet Anambra dialect is dying out because of Igbo Izugbe. Today you hear Anambra people answering Chinecherem instead of Chinelo or Chinechelum,Ebere instead of Ebele,Amara instead of Amala. Anambra tongue flows easily and very sweet but our people careless. One day my chic said "chere" instead of chelu and I just looked at her with so much fury. I hate Igbo Izugbe to my bone marrow and it irritates me when Anambra person speaks it or write in it. Infact, I look down on any Anambrarian that uses that version. We need to be the way God made us....I.e keeping the things that make us stand out! I don't care about stereotypes because I have lived with ENUGU and Imo people and have heard it all....from money ritualists aka ogwuego, illiterate traders aka ndi Omata, and our L factor. They say we can't pronounce R. At a point I stopped using R just to give them something to talk about....Emelu enu emelu ana nwa Omanbala ka m' bu lukwaa echi. I don't need to brag but when you encounter me in real life you will certainly feel that superior nobility ingrained in the Omanbala man/woman. Onye wee iwe nnie!
sweetest......only in your own pocket. onye ge kwu si na ofe nneya adighi uto? my sweet umuahia dialect and intonation is first class, something something similar to owerri too....yet purely distinct in intonation. Igbo mma mma nuo.....

you better keep your cool before Yoruba abomination are being exposed.

When she and her progeny roar the other. "animals" in the "zoo" shivers. UNN producing great lions and lionesses since the birth of Nigeria. The closest rivals are UI in terms of quality products and ABUTH in terms of geographical size and beauty...OAU is not in her class.
Her early combination of British and American systems via introduction of GS which was later adopted by NUC trashed UI's British system bias.
UNN boasts of highest number of faculties and department among all, research institutes and centers.
We parade great masquerades in science, arts and medicine...

That is not true. Certificates issued then bore "University College, Ibadan" on them.
it was gotten and signed by the senate of the London university on it. I don't need to argue about that. achebe clarified that since.

UNN has more, after ibadan, its UNN.

Take it or leave it, others follow.
again, my friend, its not true. don't allow the western lagos-ibadan press to deceive you.

UI started churning graduates in 1965, while UNN started churning a year or two earlier. before then it was university of London certificate that was issued to students of university college Ibadan. Google it sir.

I don't need to ask anybody: I graduated from OAU, and know that there is an "exchange" of lecturers between OAU and UI. The closeness between both schools makes it earsier for lecturers of OAU to do their sabbatical in UI. UI lecturers also come to OAU for the same purpose.
you know what....leave nairaland, go and investigate, no need dragging anything. besides I still do not accept that UI had more alumni than UNN, UI started awarding degrees in 1965, while UNN started awarding in 1964.

he attended University College, Ibadan, which has its umbilical cord connected to the University of London, same for Soyinka. it was later around 1965 that it started awarding its own degrees.

Google E. A. Adeboye gives grant to OAU in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. At the occasion, he said he got his Bsc in OAU, Ile-Ife (then University of Ife). Adeboye started his Bsc degree in Mathematic in UNN. But in 1966, as a result of the tension in the country, undegraduates were asked to transfer to universities in the regions of origin. Adeboye escaped in a canoe across the Niger to enroll in the University of Ife, where he got his degree in 1967. Former Ambassador to the Phillipines, Yemi Farounbi, transfered too to OAU and got his Bsc in Geography in 1968. Prof. A.B.C. Nwosu was in UI, Ibadan but transferred to UNN.
agreed, but he had spent most of his university years at Nsukka before he was transfered to ife to complete the few semesters he had left....

Keep deluding yourself.... Christianity is a common man made religion, just like Islam n Buddhism and African traditional religion.
