Some passengers will rush in with the small small move forward thinking the bus is about to take off. Some will later get impatient and get down as they perceive the driver is not ready to take-off and other passengers take their seat.

Mr Elumelu would first have to prove that Megamart's statement was negligent and that it shows actual malice. And whether the statement is actually false. Further, Mr Elumelu's evidence must be clear and convincing.

I also doubt Mr Elumelu would like to handle such a matter in the courts of law.

ALL engineers miscalculate. Just that some miscalculations are insignificant. 47.7877885 is not equal to 47.787789. That approximation is already a miscalculation. But it is insignificant.

However in very complex projects like this, that insignificant miscalculation could add up to something significant. Also, unforseen events such as weather could come into play to make an insignificant miscalculation significant.

Threads like this shows how easy it's for people to castigate you when something goes wrong. Some are even calling the engineers quack.

When you are constructing something as high as 21 storeys, so many things can go fatally wrong. It has nothing to do with substandard material. It could be from a very simple and insignificant miscalculation.

Take it easy with the judgements.

Perhaps they will improve this year. Both of them usually don't pay more than #2 and it's only once a year they pay

Presco is declaring an interim dividend of #1 so that should take their dividend total to about #3 except they increase the final dividend as well
