That was a serpentatious behavior.

There's no problem with calling the university out for maybe slacking. But saying you requested in July when the request was sent in September is libel. Claiming extortion when you understood the reason you paid twice is immoral.

We don't pay the Alumni Association which by herself took away the transcript facilitation from the university to ensure robust post graduate matters aren't stacked at registry. They do a fairly good job.

Most times we know the answer to our questions but just want people to validate our contrary opinion so we can feel justified to go against our conscience.. and so far, the people here are validating the wrong position..

I was passing one day and the CSO through his office window beckoned on me to come inside his office. on entering there this man started asking me awkward questions like where I'm from, what's my name and where am I going to. all this I gently answered him and he immediately told me that he doesn't like my face, that he don't think I will graduate from this school. imagine that kind of situation meanwhile I was a new student then, that was in my year one first semester. after embarrassing me in front of other students that were in his office at that time he asked me to go. on leaving his office I immediately called my dad and told him what transpired between me and the CSO. I quickly told him that I'm done with that school, and if you consider the manner on which the school has been expelling students more especially final year students, I thought within myself that this might be a Freudian slip from the CSO. my old man didn't agree with me, he pleaded that I should reconsider my decision but in my mind I knew that there was no going back. I secretly bought new Jamb form and wrote the exam and passed it. at home during the holidays after the first semester exam, I told my dad that nothing will make me go back to that school again. he tried making me to change my mind but seeing that I've made up my mind already he had no choice than to support me in my quest to change school. Omo that's how I left that God forsaken school and proceeded to a public university and graduated.

Olugbemiga Fadeyi, Oyo State Police Command’s Spokesperson, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday night. Fadeyi said negotiations with the captors were concealed from the police.

He said, “Consequent upon this, a team of Operation Burst, which was invited by the concerned company, arrived in the area and proceeded to the forest. Not too long, one Army Lieutenant sustained a gunshot injury on his right lap, and was immediately taken to the hospital while the personal assistant to the abductor, who was also abducted, escaped during an exchange of gunfire.”

Operation Burst is a combined team of soldiers and men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, who were put together by the state government to tackle insecurity in the state.

The PPRO said on Sunday that the corpses of one soldier and a civilian were discovered from the forest while civil defence personnel also sustained gunshot injury after a search in the forest.

The statement partly reads; “It is worthy of note that movement of these foreign nationals most of the time is not known to the police authorities in the state to enable professional advice to be given appropriately. Negotiations with the captors are also concealed from the police.

“Meanwhile, efforts are being intensified to arrest the hoodlums and also to rescue the abductor.

“The people of Oyo State, who have useful and credible information as to the whereabouts of the captors and abductors, should furnish the police for a rescue operation to be carried out immediately, please.”

The military as an institution is based on chain of command. I hope you know. The said bello acted based on instructions from his superiors. He won't move an inch until they instruct him to go. That's how they maintain their chain of command and structural discipline.
You also have to be realistic! So if he refused to honour the invitation how do you enforce the panel's summons? By police I think not! You still have to go to his superiors or high command.. why not just face reality and be pragmatic instead of issuing summons that would be ignored thereby ridiculing the panel and making it appear powerless. When orders and summons of a panel are ignored wothout consequences then the panel loses its awe and respect

I think the way the army operates is for such legal processes to be sent to the supervising office of the summoned officer (or to the army headquarters) which will then direct the officer to appear before the panel. He can not appear on his own without clearance from his superiors. The summons should've been addressed to his superiors. This may not be obtainable in saner climes but that's the way it's done here. Bello will not honour the summons if not directed by his superiors.
