CharlyG1:
@sonofthunder.. Your question about
Difference between Imaginations & Revelations/Visons/Dreams

Imaginations are illusions or mental images created by a person, this can also be translated to dreams when the person is asleep. This can be due to stress or activity which was experienced by this person(maybe watching an exciting movie etc.). They have no meaning, they don't make any sense at all, its just a replay of the dreamer's activities mixed up in a funny way that produces no meaning at all.

Visions or Revelations are divine spiritual experiences or information shown to a person by God while he/she is asleep or in an unconscious state. This could be things that will happen in the future or hidden things happening in a person's life.
God is the one in charge of the dream, He's in control of your spirit in the dream or vision. The dreamer just sees what's happening like he/she is watching a movie, but he has no control over the dream.
God speaks through vision & dreams.

God-given visions have strong meanings and they're connected to the word of God, it will register in your spirit that it's not an imagination but an information from God. It connects with His word, It connects with your spirit.
It could be a revelation of why you haven't gotten a thing yet, or what you must do to get something. It can also be a warning of impending danger like in the case of pharaoh & Nebucadnezzar.
Gen chapt. 41 & Daniel chapt. 2

Clear difference between this two in short is:
Imagination has no meaning at all, it's just information stored up in the brain that comes into replay during rest(sleep). E;G. If you watch too much jackie chan movies in one day, then you may see yourself doing karate kicks with the air in your sleep that night. Lol
While

Visions/Revelations or even Trance have great meaning and a connection to God's word for your life, or your family or a friend etc. It could be a future event to happen, a warning, a reminder of God's promises, a warning of repentance, a message for someone or people, a warning of sin.

God, sometimes gives dreams with straightforward interpretations/meanings and sometimes He'll give prophetic dreams or DEEP dreams with hidden messages characterized by symbols, language, codes & numbers that make them difficult to interpret(except thru the Holy Spirit)just like the case of Pharaoh's dream, Nebuccadnezzar's dream etc. God encodes the meaning of dreams sometimes for some specific reasons(but all to His Glory).

I hope you understand now.
God bless you.

thanks for taking time out to reply.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Some months ago, i got a job, resumed on a Monday and quit on a Wednesday...just 2 days. Does anyone have a similar experience, or a shorter experience.

six days, then I quit.
was paid BTW.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

I have YET to read any testimony of edification here, just a happy regaling of spiritual adventures.

So once again, who here operating in this 'gift' of seeing demons and Angels had edified fellow Christians?

seems you've been selecting comments to read. go over the comments again.
take care

Just asking.
Spiritual gifts are supposed to be for edifying the body of Christ. How do these 'gifts' of yours benefit anybody?

a deliverance minister may not need to ask the demon(s) how many they are and all that. a pastor could easily tell if his flock is under oppression or know their spiritual state. it edifies both self and fellow Christians.

wow! charlyG1 I must say, this is a very interesting thread. let me ask a question, how do you differentiate an actual vision/revelation from your own imagination/personal thoughts. honestly, as a person I believe that I have a very active imagination. so most of the times, I actually dismiss most of what I see as a mere imagination/thought.

I had an experience once (out of the numerous ones I have had, this is the one I vividly remember). I was doing my pedegree then and seeking the face of God concerning my admission status, so I was sincerely trying to get close to God and drop my vices. I fasted one day and was praying (I was speaking in tongues, though I had no idea of what I was doing since my mind was busy roaming about). I saw two of my neighbours entering our compound, heading straight for my room and asking me if I had kerosene. it was like one of the crazy imaginations I know I usually had so I dismissed it and tried had to focus on my prayer points for that evening. After the prayer session, about an hour later, I sat down outside to get some air. surprisingly, two of my neighbours walked into the compound, saw me and came directly to where I was sitting in front of my room and asked if I had kerosene (which I gave them not knowing kerosene was now scarce in town! lol). I was shocked! because I just saw it happen some moments earlier. I have had many "imaginations" or should I say "visions" that came true. some I don't even remember until they happen. its like de ja vu for me most of the time.

another question I'll like to ask is this. what is your take on people who don't remember their dreams? I don't remember mine, no matter how hard I try, I eventually forget what I dreamt about.

@charlyg1 : I was going to ask this question also. I've seen your reply but is it possible you explain more. thanks.

PRISTINEMUSCLES:
This thread is quite revealing. How do these demons look like? Are they as are depicted in christain magazines and in films? Like strange creatures with horns and fang-like teeth.
I really want to have this gift of seeing spirits. How do i go about it?

you can seek the face of your heavenly Father. every good and perfect gift comes from him.

I would be lying if i say im close to God now. as sinful as i am, i still get a message, mostly warning when i sleep. other times it's not in a sleep, it's more like half asleep half awake

its not easy but its paramount to take one's stand. one might fall to sin and still operate the gifts and that's the more reason for us to "watch".
