I had the experience of "sooperrescue's professional expertise" today.
I was asking myself "why I had not known about his services much earlier" as it would have saved me monies and moments of disappointment from "Lebanese & Nigerian inexperienced mechanics" that are only using the knowledge of Japanese vehicles to repair Range Rovers by trial and error methods at the expense of the owner's funds whilst still being charged exorbitantly for their ineptitude and shear incompetence.

A Range Rover Sport Supercharged is not in the same category with an HSE. Even though they look alike, they are not in the same category. The power in the Supercharged cannot be compared with an HSE, that is the difference.

Just leave it overnight and then opzn the expansion tank and fill water while also allowing water out of the black top on the ecpansion tank until there is no bubble escaping out of the tank. This procedure is to be done without starting the car. Does it overheats immediately after starting like five minutes after? The low coolant warning is due to the sensor under the expansion tank and the only solution if after cleaning the sensor and the error persist is to buy a new expansion tank. If it persist, then you look at the temperature sensor. That too is another suspect. i just got a used automatic nissan altima 2.5SL 2002 model. The mileage is about 140k+ and its showing service engine light.
Also the on engaging the reverse, you can hear a audible thud and a slight shudder of the car. The mechanic first thought it has to do with the engine seat but later says its the gear box. Another issue is the car seems heavy to move and sometimes the transmission from 1 is dull, as in it doesnt pick on time even if i throttle. The car just seems to trudge on and I have to throttle light in these situations.
My mechanic put Mobil ATF Dextron II in the ttansmission and I am quite skeptical.
I would like you to kindly assist with a likely diagnosis for these problems and also inform me of the best tranny fluid, steering fluid and engine oil to use. May God continue to bless you. Thanks sir

Amen. Please flush out that oil immediately. You are supposed to use Matic D Nissan and other alternatives like our Pureguard which is synthetic global transmission fluid. If you cant find Matic D, get in touch so that we can get you Pureguard. The automobile world has gone synthetic now, so no need dwelling in the past. Oando Syn is out now and you can use it as the Engine oil for your car. For power steering, use Oando Dex 111. Dont use seahorse and abro and other fluids. Throw them into the sea. It is better that there is oil pollution with these brands of ATF than crude oil. Pour them into the sea, the fishes will understand

Hello every1, my 2006 range rover sport keeps showing engine system fault, limited gears available, suspension lowered, special programs off and f in the dash board, i have almost tried everything, the mechanics says its the nozzles and they changed all of them and it still did not work, they say maybe its the fuel pump and injector pump, i am afraid thats not it too because they have said its so many things and they were wrong, i am writing all the way from west africa, sierra leone to be precise and we dont have range rover garages over here so can somebody please help me with some ideas

Using Typ T-1v will not have any negative impact on your gear but please follow the recommendation of the manufacturer. They know why they created WS for their new cars. Mobil has 0w40 in Nigeria but if you want other brands, there are other brands like Total Q9000, Forte Syn and Honeywell Syn, these are all 5w40 and they are all available in Nigeria

For the transmission fluid, you should use WS, world Standard which is very compatible with Pureguard. The same pureguard is also ideal for your power steering. Use DOT 4 brake oil for your brake system and the engine oil recommended is 5w20 or 0w20. A client of mine imported Penzoil to service his Acura TL because that oil has the characteristics of exceeding 50 degrees centigrade. But since you cant get that here, buy Forte oil 5w40 or Honeywell 5w 40. You can get all these products locally and except for the engine oil, we have all these products and more.

What is the issue? Is it going forward or just reverse or is it stuck in all gears? Like I told the guy in Calabar, the transmission fluid for the windstar requires 13 litres of Mercon V. We have a workshop where we can dismantle the gear and send it down to lagos and after repairs, we will send it back to Abuja for the gear to be mounted. Or on the other hand, whenever our tow trucks come into Abuja, we will bring the car to lagos for repairs at minimum charges for towing. and then drive the car back to Abuja. And there is one that is leaving for Abuja tomorrow if you so desire.
