This is not Mobil-1 oil. This is the conventional mobil super oil you are putting up here. We are talking about the Advanced full synthetic Mobil-1.
They are not at par on price, performance and longevity

Now you can see the many 5w 30 in the market. I pity our engines especially Range Rover Engines that sells for N1m used.

Thanks for the clarification though. Most people tend to believe that the Nigeria Mobil 1 is the same as the USA Mobil 1 and they want to price it at same level. I believe the difference in quality / performance accounts for the premium pricing of the USA Mobil 1. Besides, i think the USA Mobil 1 comes in 5 Quart container which is significantly higher in volume than the 4L Nigeria Mobil 1

November/December last year. It was even on Jumia and it is in a one litre pack. A client of mine brought a carton of 12 from the USA, it was good to use on a Range. Even pouring it into the car gives you sensations that you can not explain.

Please don't pay attention to the posters. Mobil1 USA is not the same as the excuse of the Mobil1 in Nigeria and will never be. The USA brand is ilsac gf 5. Dexos certified, while the local is not certified at least not displayed on the gallon. I remember that the USA brand was sold in the country for 4400 naira a litre. They are the ones that can withstand the high temperatures we daily face in our various choices of cars. There are many substandard 5w30 in the country right now so beware how you choose.

You can use Mobil atf or oando dexron111. Any other oil, don't bother

The manufacturer is based in Lagos and they can deliver a carton to you anywhere in Nigeria. They do this to safeguard their product from adulteration. You can hardly find the product in the open market. Try Oando Syn or Forte Synfor engine oil but try and flush that engine before changing the oil. There should be sludge in the engine

Bros, I don't sell transmission fluids but I know a lot about them. If you sell dw 1, then sell dw1, there's no way the guy's car will get ruined if he uses dw1. There are many fake dw1 in the market now, even Honda place confirmed it. How do we know if it not abro or seahorse that is not being packaged as dw1

From what you displayed, it is just two bottles they want to sell. I checked eBay and wherever atf z1 is displayed, it brings out dw1with an explanation that it replaces the old atf z1. Even the dw1 is going thru faking and many motorists are hurting. Guy, follow the trend, sell dw1.

From available research, oando dexron111 cannot work perfectly with your car, there is this atf called truvalue dexron111, use that. It is the highest dexron111 in the country right now for your car

Abro atf in a Ford and you allowed him. Pls drain the oil and use mercon v transmission fluid. There's motocraft atf or you can use pureguard

There are some RRS that consumes 19L/100km and there are some LR3 that consumes 15L/100KM. It is all about the engine oil, the fuel and the general maintenance. Like Nixon 55 stated, that should be the least of your worries. What is paramount is that clean RRS is truly clean and well maintained.

Yes, as far as those components in the Car are in good working condition. The fuel consumption depends on the way you drive and the distance you cover to and from work. The LR3 V6 is superb and very similar to the Ford Explorer as many of its components in the engine are shared. That said, it is still a Land Rover. And they all use Premium unleaded fuel only which is not available in Nigeria. And the major issue you might encounter is if the fuel has not damaged your engineYou should not be worried about fuel when you own a Range. We are lobbying the government on behalf of the forum members to reduce the pump price drastically but meanwhile, fuel should not be an issue as N6000 will fill up the Range if the filling station people are God fearing. I once bought 88 litres in my Sport from an AP station and I cried out and they started begging me to pay them what I have, so I gave them N5000 and we became friends. That is what you should be more concerned about.

Yeah. Mechanics are terrible. But not all. Some car owners do a fair bit of damage on their own.
I know someone who allowed a mechanic pour AP Visco 2000 ( engine oil ) into his honda transmission instead of Honda ATF Z1 simply because both fluids were red in colour. That same person continues to complain to this day that his mechanic deceived him and is useless. He refuses to accept that the cheaper price of Visco 2000 was what influenced his decision.
I know of another person who bought a brand new 2015 honda accord and saw a light on his dashboard. Instead of reading his manual he asked his nearly 50 yr driver who is probably used to driving 504 what the light meant. Of course the driver refusing to fall his hand suggested the car needed servicing and off my friend went replacing everything replaceable only to discover at the end that the light was indicating his tire pressure was low. This person blamed his driver and mechanic for the expense incurred rather than accept that the expense would have been avoided had he read his manual first.
Another lady was servicing her car monthly. Changing fuel filter, air filter, and oil filters along with engine oil and fan belt. This was done on a monthly basis for over 2 yrs until one of her work colleagues found out and busted the mechanics bubble. I am sure that mechanic had built his house from this lady's payments. The items to be changed are clearly spelt out in the manual.
A mechanic services your carburettor and does not couple it together with all the parts. That already tells you not to use him again. But I can bet most of us will go back to such a demon for him to replace our ball joints.
The point here is that many car owners are not knowledgeable. But some of us ( not all ) at times create problems for ourselves and conveniently blame people we suspect or know to be limited. Case of the one-eyed man asking the blind for directions.
Terrible mechanics will continue to exist and have a field day until we car owners take the trouble ( and yes it is some trouble ) to become more knowledgeable about the cars we drive and carry our loved ones in on a daily basis.

You have spoken our minds and our thoughts. As a member of the Association of Roadside mechanics of Nigeria, we are tired of owners of murano putting abro Type A in their gear, of proud owners of Benz gl playing with the tiptronic buttons while on motion, of guys using the latest phones and still allow their mechanic to buy seahorse atf for their 2007 Acura mdx, for allowing 20w 50 to be used on their Lexus jeep and will cry out that kazeem has destroyed their cars. In the medical field, there are agbo doctors, roadside pharmacy, neighbourhood chemist, room and parlour clinics, General hospital, st Nicholas and redington. Every body get him level. It is the same with us in the field. Who is your mechanic? Is it the agbo doctor or St Nicholas doctor?

Sorry for the gear issues but I will add that you wanted these wahalas and you got it. How come you allowed too many trials on your car without being in a position to dictate the way they should fix your car. That said, buying a used gearbox is not the issue except you get the right oil for it. I have bought many gears and 90% of the time, they work but only when you use the right oil for the car. You have not told us which model is your Accord, so I cannot give an accurate advice until we know which Accord you have.
