@ OP. . . Were u able to get her to open up about the reasons behind her frustration?? If you can do that and she genuinely does that, then you can decide to move pass this 'love test'. But i dunno if she will be able to forgive u for putting her thru all this. Maybe she even knows about your true character. How can u be sure she doesn't?? She could have been frustrated that what she found out about u earlier was not who u actually turned out to be.

I think u mentioned that if she truly loved u, she would have made attempts to re-organize your home etc. . . didn't she do this?? Like some peeps said u may actually b missing out on a genuine opportunity at love. I understand your point but most peeps don't get to perform assurance tests before they plunge into risky investments. . .

P.S. most guys (i believe) would try to impress a lady esp. on first date (im talkin bout the eatery u took her to) so i think i would be a lil shocked as well. . . since u dont really believe love can occur at first sight, u shulda introduced her to things like that gradually . . . meh. . .me i no kno sha. . . to each his own. . . interesting stuff sha

This experiment is going to blow up in your face. She isn't mad because you are not rich. She is mad because she thinks you are a fake who is using borrowed clothes to portray a false lifestyle. There isn't anything worse than thinking the person you liked is a pretender. She is probably asking herself, what else is he being deceptive about. She is sitting around your house doing nothing while you could be taking her out more. There are plenty of free ways to show her around.

And, she cleans your place and buys you new dishes and you are complaining? You are lucky she stayed. She was greeted by stinking dishes the first time she came to your place that showed her that you didn't even care enough to clean up the place, not that you were poor.

And, you knew from day 1 that she 'fell in love' over some photos. Likewise you also thought she could be your soulmate after 2 weeks.

I'm waiting to see where this goes. I'm sure she must have gotten alot worse for you to have drawn the conclusions you did about her. . .

umm. . . i dont think that's why she is crying and annoyed. I think it's cause she wasn't expecting the poster to live such a lifestyle. She made an assumption which turned out to be wrong (well its appears wrong anyways). I think the poster is tryna make the point that love shouldn't be thrown around without a solid basis. For example, the gurl (according to the poster) is in "love" with his image (little knowledge of his background) and also in love with the character she imagined based on his picture. I think he is saying that if she is truly in love with him, then she should be able to love everything about him.

At least next time the gurl meets someone online she would tell them that she is attracted to them or that they are handsome and not profess love to them rite off the bat.

and except the poster made mistakes she probably doesnt kno he is faking . . .but of course if she had done some research on him, then she may have figured that out

Mother's day is recognized on different days depending on where u are in the world. . . Generally it occurs in March, April or May. . . In the UK and Nigeria it falls on the 4th sunday in Lent but in Canada and the U.S. it is on the 2nd sunday in May. . .

Yea. . . Everything about it is wrong. Ur supposed to b someone that ur bestfriend can trust and goin behind their back or even infront of them to date their ex is like a betrayal of that trust. What if ur friend still has feelings for their ex What if ur friend hates the ex and then u date them, then it would seem like u takin the ex's side. . . All in all, it's just not rite

In any of these hard choices situations, a genuinely caring and loving parent (who's already lived their lives) wouldn't even accept to be save and rather die for your happiness (no matter how hard you ask).

What kind of selfish, narrow minded parent would expect you to give up your spouse (or your life) for them?!

To all the parents who said they would die for their child (on that other thread), I hope that in such situation from the OP, you will therefore jump to you death rather than expect your child to choose.

Recently I was listen to a radio show and this way the topic. Im not married yet so i'll quote one of callers, his wife is a full-time student, has a full-time job, they have children and they are involved in the ministry, "the little small things i know she appreciates is when she comes home from work and she might be sitting down and doing some homework, i'll take her feet and take off her shoes and just start rubbing her feet, its the little things that matter etc, " he also said that when they are in a heated argument he would think back to those things that made him attracted to her, "i'll go back into the love bank and pull something out that reminded me of how we fell in love and tell her a lil funny story of how we met, "

He mentioned that the valentine and birthday gestures are expected but that its the other stuff that matter, i.e. the lil stuff

Hubby & wyf agreed dat anytym they want sex they’ll call it “fone call” so tht their kids wont understand. One day a hubby was Hot. He told his son 2 tel his mom tht he wants 2 make a “fone call”. Mama replied, “tel ur dad tht the network is bad 2day”. Dad responded, tel ur mom dat if there’s no network at home I’ll go for a public fone. a friend of his came to our house the other day with his pregnant wife who spits around in a cup, trust me if it was me my husband would probably lock me up in a room.

Hun im not gonna lie to u, i honestly understand what you goin thru. . .been there done that. . . I can tell you that if you decide to stay things will change and as you grow older, you will start to change ur view of those around u. . . I look back now and wish I never acted the way I did or said the things said and I kno for certain that if i was back home (9ja) i never would have acted that way. . .

I swear this part of the world has something in their water that causes children to disrespect their parents. . .

anyways just try to persevere and love them no matter what u think they have against you. Remember they are looking out for u , let me tell you that no matter what ur bro did, he still cares for you as his sis. . . try to overlook that, let me also tell you that no matter what u think, u r eventually gonna regret moving out. . .

give urself 2-3 yrs and come back and tell us how u feel about ur fam. . . if u still feel like they gossipin bout u, then talk to ur ma about the problems u having (try to do this as respectfully as possible and DO NOT(!!!) blame her or speak to her rudely(no matter how angry u feel or w/e)). . .
